About: I have owned and taken care of many animals since I was young including exotic and livestock animals. I have experience with training two very different breeds of dogs, one currently still in training. I work with kids at a summer camp fulltime but between me and my fiance the pets are never alone for more than 4 hours. My weekends are fully open and that's usually when I go on more enriching activities such as hikes, lakes, ECT. My cats at home are allowed to free roam and usually keep to themselves but my dog stays mostly in her pen because she's still being house trained. My house is on the smaller side so best suited for small to medium dogs instead of large.

About: Hi! My name is Alexis, I am 27 years old, and I have been around animals my entire life. Growing up I helped my dad with training his rabbit dogs and attending to their needs while he was at work or etc. I am born and raised in Amherst, VA. I own my own townhouse in Madison Heights. Although, the area is not fenced in there is a nice big yard for your fur-baby to get plenty of exercise and exposure to the sun and fresh air!! There is sidewalks in the neighborhood that makes it easy for taking walks. I am here to care for your fur-baby as you would. I will pet, feed, walk, play, brush attend to your fur-baby's needs. You and your fur-baby will be happy with my services. I do work 40 hours a week from home which allows me to have more time at home to attend to your fur-baby. Your dog/cat will be able to roam freely in the house unless otherwise requested. I do not work weekends, so my schedule is very open and flexible. I can easily crate your dog as needed. All dogs are walked on leashes when we go for walks. I respect your wishes in my home and your home.

About: Hi! My name is Britt. I'm a Lynchburg-area dog walker and house/pet sitter. I've had pets all my life. I'm also a doggie dad myself. My guy's name is Petersburg (Pete for short). I'm excited to get to know some more furry friends! I have an extremely flexible weekly schedule which allows me to adjust my availability to fit the needs and routines of you and your fur babies. For my guy, Pete, I feed him breakfast and dinner, and let him outside every 3-4 hours. Before we adopted Pete, he was hit by a car and had to have two surgeries on his hip. So, as he continues to rehabilitate, I make sure that he gets a few long walks every week alternated with some recovery days of well-deserved laziness.

About: I'm Kelsie! I live in Madison Heights with 3 cats, 2 dogs, and 1 husband. I work in marketing from my home during the day, and I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to adjust to your schedule as needed. I also bartend on the weekends and occasional weeknight, but I can usually work around that schedule with enough notice. I've had animals my entire life, and growing up I was the primary caregiver for all the family pets from a young age. I have experience raising cats, dogs, and birds. I love pure breeds and support responsible breeding, but I personally love to rescue dogs. My husband and I have made a lot of progress with our rescues, building confidence and obedience training. They've developed good habits through our work and are well socialized with dogs of all sizes, cats, and children (although we don't have children ourselves.) We use primarily positive reinforcement for training, never more than a stern "no" in response to negative behavior. The closest thing to "punishment" that we practice is gently isolating the dog long enough to calm him down if he gets too riled up and stops listening. I am not a trained professional, but if you have any behavioral issues you would like to work on I would be happy to help based on my own experiences! I occasionally ask my husband to accompany me on visits for safety or an extra hand, especially if it's a new client or multiple dogs. I will always let you know if that's the case, and if you prefer not to let him in your home/around your pets we will adjust accordingly. Thank you for your time, I look forward to working with you!
