“Michele is a wonderful dog-sitter! She is very knowledgeable about dogs. We met in advance of my dog’s stay so Michele could ensure compatibility and understand his needs and routine. My dog has separation anxiety, and Michele was extremely caring and accommodating. She sends photos and messages frequently. This was my first experience using Rover, and I have booked another sitting with her for May 2026. Thank you, Mickey!”

“Jermaine was so accommodating for me as I book him for a last-minute work trip. Text me pictures and update as I was on my busy trip thinking of my baby girl. Definitely will utilize his services again.”

“Paige was great. She was available on short notice and was accommodating to a weird drop-off time due to bad weather. She was attentive to my animals needs and it was obvious my pup had a great time with her. She sent tons of pictures and videos and gave comprehensive daily updates. I would absolutely recommend this sitter and will be using her again in the future.”

“My 2 girls were so happy with Sandee, i could not have asked for better care of my two spoilt pups! I am very grateful to Sandee for taking my girls for the afternoon, which freed us up to do the necessary things related to purchasing a home. I won't hesitate to go back to Sandee and trust her with my precious fur babies. Thank you Sandee!!!!”

“I can't recommend Kelly enough for dog boarding! My pup, Bailey, absolutely loves staying at her place. The big, fenced-in yard is a doggy paradise, and he has a blast running around and playing with Charlie, Kelly's dog. It's such a relief to know that Bailey is having a great time while I’m away! Kelly’s communication skills are fantastic. She keeps me updated throughout Bailey’s stay, sharing pictures and messages that always brighten my day. It’s so comforting to know my furry friend is in such caring hands. If you’re looking for a loving and fun environment for your dog, look no further than Kelly! Bailey can’t wait for his next visit! 🐾❤️”

“My dog, Gidget, takes daily meds and requires another med when she is stressed due to thunderstorms. While I was away, there were numerous storms. Daniela would let me know when Gidget had her pill and how she was doing. I totally trust Daniela with Gidget!”

“We feel so lucky to have found Alyssa to take care of our fur baby while we are away! We loved getting pictures and updates while on our trip, we could tell he fully enjoyed himself staying with Alyssa! 100% recommend!”

“Zackie was amazing with my pup! So many pictures to keep me updated (& to help with missing my pup too haha) and Bella returned happier than ever after playing with her new BFF for the week:)”

“Highly recommend! They were incredibly trustworthy, friendly, and paid close attention to all of our details and instructions. They were also very flexible with our schedule, which we deeply appreciated. Their house and yard setup are very good and perfect for dogs to hang out safely. We would absolutely rebook in the future!”

“We moved to the area recently and searched for a new pet sitter. My husband and I could not be anymore happier with the care Karen and Sean provided to our Molly! Our Molly felt right at home on her first stay. Karen and Sean took Molly on walks and gave her plenty of playtime. Definitely will be using Karen again in the future ❤️”

“We had to make a last minute change to our schedule and Deanna was able to accommodate us! Deanna is amazing with our Baby!! She always keeps us updated and Bear is always happy to see her!!! She will always be my go to when I need someone to keep him!!!”

About: I’ve had animals all my life. From dogs to cats to exotics. My pathway in school was for animal science which I have my certification from that class. I also have worked at a vet before so I would say I definitely have some experience! Right now I mostly work from home so I’m pretty flexible. Whether that be for boarding or potty breaks I can pretty much make anything work. I have a section of my yard fenced off so they can just go out and potty but also love to take them for walks in my neighborhood! If they get along with other dogs great! If not I can manage to keep everyone separate if boarding is preferred at my house.

“Sandra took the time to meet with our dogs prior to boarding, sent several updates throughout their stay, and made me feel comfortable leaving them in her care. Most importantly, my dogs seemed to love her. I plan to come to Sandra for any future boarding needs!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Andrewsville home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Andrewsville.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Andrewsville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in DE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
