About: I love others pets like I love my own. I’ve had my own dog since I was 17 and took care of her in any way needed. I’m knowledgeable on a lot of things dealing with dogs as well as cats. I would sit with my friends cat when she would be gone to make sure she didn’t get into anything she wasn’t supposed to. I trained both of my dogs myself to sit, shake, and listen to basic commands. I currently am not employed. So I have all the time to take care of your pets throughout the week (Monday-Friday). Early mornings for when you need to drop off before work/ school and late evenings to give you some time to get home and ready for your fur baby! I have a fenced in back yard where my dog stays. So if you would like your dog to have some doggie playtime she would enjoy that! If not that is completely fine and if you have a crate that you would like your pet to stay in I will use that! Whatever works for you!

About: I've grown up with dogs my entire life, and in the last five years, have raised three puppies into well-behaved, mature dogs, and cared for my two senior dogs until they passed. I personally trained my youngest dog and she is the best-behaved pup in public! I have experience with administering medication, grooming, training, feeding routines, and overall handling, especially dogs that are skittish or fearful. All of these skills helped me excel in both of my kennel assistant positions. I am patient and fully willing to provide care for senior or injured pets, as they hold a special place in my heart. I'm currently a full-time student at MSU, and will share my schedule when a booking request is made. I have gaps between my classes, and am generally done with school around 12 pm on T/TH and around 2-3pm on M/W/F. Again, I have gaps between classes so I am available at different times of day. I am fully free on the weekends! I have three dogs and two cats currently living at home, while I have my third car with me at college. My college car is also blind and one of my home dogs has a torn CCL, but they both are adored all the same. I wouldn't change it for the world! My dogs are on radio collars on occasion (generally when strays begin to appear), but more often than not, they are inside-outside dogs and are let out on average 4-6x a day. My own dog, Felix, has the torn CCL and gets leashwalked 4-6x a day as well. All of my cats are free-fed dry food, and my blind kitty gets fed a special dry food. My oldest cat (13 yrs) is also fed wet food as an additional food, 1-2x a day. Their litter box is cleaned weekly, as we do not scoop, but I do scoop my blind cat's litter box daily, as she is the only cat in the dorm and the box is suited specifically for her. In my clients home, I will follow any and all rules and regulations laid out of me. I love "excessive details" as they give me a better idea of how to properly care for the pets. I follow feeding times and amounts to a T, and double, triple, sometimes quadruple-checking amounts of everything, whether it be food, medications, or the amount of excrement I find. If anything looks off (behavior, excrement, appetite, etc.) the owner is immediately notified with a mentality of "what do you want me to do next?" My goal is to treat the pet as good as the owner does, in the time I am around them. On walks, I encourage proper walking skills (heeling, low reactivity), and try to help teach dogs as I do so. If allowed by the owner, I'd use low-calorie, high-reward treats with a clicker tool to help refine walking skills. This way the pet gets mental and physical stimulation, while being able to still be themself.

I have worked at a boarding facility/ doggy daycare as well as gone to houses to take care of clients pets and they have came to mine. About: Friends, family and coworkers always pick me to take care of their pets! I can train basic commands and work with all ages! I have gone to clients homes for days to care for animals, done drop by care and drop by walks. I have also boarded dogs in my own home! I want the animals to feel as comfortable as possible and also keep their parents at ease about their well being! I have my own dog so pet care is in my daily routine morning and night feedings and at least one walk a day weather permitting. We also do daily training on commands she is completely off leash trained but training is essential for her to exercise mentally. I can do either, however I have a dog myself and I would not expect anyone to ever sacrifice their own dogs attention for mine. She is so sweet and loves meeting new friends. I will stick to a clients preferred schedule for their specific dog. For us we do two feedings a day morning (7am) and night (7pm). We do at least one walk a day weather permitting and if we are unable to go outside we play fetch indoors and do brain stimulating activities.
