About: Hi! I’m Tawny — a lifelong pet owner and dedicated animal caretaker with hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, and horses of all sizes. My life truly revolves around animals. At home, I care for my three large dogs, three horses, and two barn cats (who are just as spoiled as the rest!). I also have a boarder horse, Irish, who has been in my daily care for over four years, and I regularly care for pets belonging to family and friends. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets, and I take that responsibility seriously. Whether you’re looking for reliable dog walking, drop-in visits, or in-home pet care, my goal is to provide consistent, attentive care while giving you peace of mind while you’re away. I offer: • Dog walking for all breeds and sizes • Drop-in visits (days, nights, and weekends) • At-home care for dogs (with up-to-date vaccinations and dog-friendly temperament) • Cat and horse care I do my absolute best to replicate your pet’s normal routine and care exactly as you would. During visits, I provide thoughtful updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. As a self-proclaimed “helicopter dog mom,” I’m very detail-oriented — I check gates, crates, trash lids, counters, and anything that could pose a safety concern before leaving your pet alone. I’m dependable, communicative, and genuinely passionate about animal care. I would be honored to care for your pets as if they were my own and would love to become your go-to sitter or dog walker. I am offering drop-in visits and dog walking days/nights/weekends during the winter months (Nov-March). I also offer at home care for pups, as long as proper vaccinations are provided, and dog is friendly with others! I will do my absolute best to replicate the owner’s care during my shift. I will also provide photos if requested! I’m a helicopter dog mom/care-taker…so before leaving, I will do a walkthrough of the area to ensure pets will be safe when no one is home. I will check trash can lids, make sure no food or anything that could potentially be harmful is on the counter(s), and I will be sure to check that safety gates and crates are secured.

About: Hey! My name is Emma. I've been apart of the pet care industry for 3 years. I've always adored cats ever since I was a child, but my true passion for dogs started when I got my first dog at 17 (I'm 21 now) My Golden Retriever named Molly inspired me to start my career as a dog trainer. Since then I've spent hundreds of hours working on my skills and perfecting the craft. I've volunteered at the Hornell Humane Society where I've walked dogs. I've also completed a 3 month mentorship with a professional trainer, Ash Osborn with the Pawsitive Pups Academy. Since then I've started taking both training and dog sitting/walking clients! I believe my skills make me a great option for all your pet care needs. I will never turn down dogs with behavioral issues. Being a pet professional is my full time job so I am available around the clock for your every need! I'm available Monday through Sunday unless I state otherwise. I care for the pets in my clients home with the patience and integrity. I will always to my best to maintain a clean and safe environment.

About: I have been taking care of dogs and pets since I was a young kid. I have also grown up with dogs in the house so I am very experienced with how to care and supervise any pets. My parents dog (that I have spent many years caring for) requires a lot of attention and supervision so I am used to giving pets lots of extra care! All dogs have their own personalities, quirks and characteristics. I have experience caring for all dogs, whether it be size, age or personality. I also am able to happily follow any specific instructions (including feeding, medications, etc..) you give me as I also have experience with different needs. I have a very flexible schedule so I am able to offer very attentive care to your dog. I am a student but most of my courses are currently online, giving me lots of time to spend with your pet(s). When I am caring for pets, whether it be in my home or a clients home, I always try to make the pets feel as comfortable and happy as they can be! I do my absolute best to make sure all the pets needs are met and more. I love to entertain any playfulness or energy that they have!

About: We live on 4.25 acres. We do have a large back deck that is attached to the house. Our dogs love going on the the deck to sit and bath in the sun. I have had all kinds of pets since I was a little girl. I am 34 years old that is wanting to do something that I love. I am married of 13 years, we have a 15 year old son, and have 3 pomeranian/papillon. We are very pet friendly. The dogs are free to roam as they please. We have potty trained our 3 dogs. We let our dogs on the furniture and through out our house, we believe in on open environment. Our dogs go outside as often as they like, we do not have a doggy door, but I do take them out every few hours when I am home. The dogs always have food and water that are out all the time. I drive a Chevy Traverse, for when I need to either pick dogs up from their home's or for when we leave the dogs have somewhere to sit. My services are great, because here in our house we love animals of all shapes and sizes. I take pride in taking care of our animals and yours as well. I own my own cleaning company and my husband works part time. Don't worry taking care of your fur babies will not get in the way of our schedules. Our back deck is fenced in on the top including a gate for the stairs. We do let the dogs outside as often as they like (typically every few hours.) Our dogs roam the house as they please and they always have food and water out.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
