“This was my first time using this type of service to board my senior dog, and I must say that it was a blessing to find Sarah. She cared for Princess as if she was her own. Sarah provided me with status updates and went the extra mile. Will definitely use her services in the future. Thanks Sarah! You are the best!”

“La Tasha is a great sitter. She is very sweet, kind and friendly. Communication is excellent , she kept us informed and is very responsive. I definitely recommend her services, you won't be disappointed.”

“Since I travel often with Owner of Vacation Envy International, as her Assistant with travel groups; this was Bella's 4th stay since July. She will be back again next month as well. Aaron and Tia take amazing care of Bella and she loves her time there. She doesn't even say goodbye to me when I drop her off. Lol. The best part is that she comes home exhausted and will sleep for a day or two. HA.”

“My 1st time using Rover. I chose Beauty for her multiple 5 star reviews and the fact that she lived in the same city. Beauty took amazing care of our Kenge; who is not very good with strangers. It was his first time away and ours away from him. The photos and videos sent helped ease any anxieties that we had. He looked so loved and at ease. I would highly recommend Beauty for Rover services.”

“Erwin & his wife are very welcoming, communicate well, & share plenty of photos and videos. My pup appeared very happy during our meet and greet, drop off and pickup! I’m sure he loved their backyard the most! I will certainly reach out for future extended stays! Thank you, Oakley.”

“Gio was so great at keeping us informed and sending photos of our puppy Loki! I felt completely at ease and was able to enjoy our family vacation without worrying. Loki seemed very happy! The service was wonderful!”

“Dasia was fantastic again! It’s so great to find someone you feel comfortable to watch your pet. Dasia provided updates and pictures throughout the stay. She was amazing.”

“Bella had a great stay and wanted to stay longer! Tara and her family are very sweet and accommodating. Tara sent photos and updates about Bella throughout her stay as we requested.”

“This was second experience leaving my pup with a sitter. Taylor was awesome. She made us feel so welcomed. She took very good care of our fur baby and she even groomed her ?. I would surely use Taylor again and again. Totally recommend.”

“If you are looking for a sitter, look no more! Connie was the absolute best with our dog, Tucker! Our dog had gotten in a small accident with a car the night before we left so he needed extra TLC including medication and a topical ointment. Connie administered all of those with no problem. Tucker stayed over Christmas so I got some adorable Christmas puppy pictures with Tucker dressed up and she also made an ornament of his paw!! She was so attentive and helped ease my nerves with pictures and text updates! It looked as if our dog would be sad to come home based on all the fun he was having. It is such a comfort to know your dog is in good hands while away and Connie provided that ten fold. I would HIGHLY recommend her for your pets stay and will be using her again soon! I know Tucker is excited already to go back! ”

“I was very nervous about leaving my baby for my vacation for 8 days but Lynette assured me everything was going to be ok. She sent pictures daily and kept me updated. I felt more relaxed each day I was away from my baby. I will definitely let my baby stay with Lynette and Vincent in the future.”

“Matthew took great care of our dog! He regularly sent pictures and our pup came home exhausted from all the yard/park play. Will definitely book again with him next time we go away.”

“They were so nice and patient with my hyper little puppy. I received video updates and pictures through out the evening. They made my first sitter experience a great on and my puppy enjoyed it! I will definitely be a repeat customer!”

“Anika did an excellent job with my baby, October. She communicated with me throughout his stay with texts, photos, videos. October wasn’t quite ready to leave her, which makes me feel the love and care she has for my furbaby. I will definitely be using her in the future.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Amys Acres home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Amys Acres.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Amys Acres sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
