“We came all the way from Baltimore to visit friends in the area, and had to board Willow. It was Willow's first time spending the night away from us since we got her 4 months ago. Tracy was super kind and loving toward our anxious 7YO doggie. She sent photos and was watchful enough to notice some behaviors of Willow's that seemed to possibly indicate a health problem (it resolved itself). We felt Willow was getting the best possible care next to our own. We will definitely use Tracy again next time we come to visit Athens County! Thanks Tracy!”
“Lindsay and her family are amazing. I don’t have enough words or space to type how wonderful they are. She was so quick to respond to my request and so accommodating for what she as an extremely last minute request. I will definitely use her again. I live an hour and 1/2 away but I will drive the distance. They loved my baby like their own. I couldn’t possibly thank her enough.”

About: I have 20+ years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, personalities, and needs. I also run a nonprofit animal sanctuary, so animal care is a major part of my everyday life. I have experience with rescue animals, seniors, shy and anxious pets, medication routines, mobility limitations, and animals who simply need a little more patience and understanding. Senior and special-needs pets are especially welcome. I’m comfortable helping with stairs, mobility support, medications, slower-paced walks, and adjusting care to whatever helps your pet feel safest and most comfortable. I’m home full-time, which means your pet gets plenty of supervision, companionship, enrichment, and one-on-one attention rather than being left alone for long stretches. Most importantly, I treat every animal as an individual and try to keep their routine as familiar and stress-free as possible while they’re in my care. I’m home full-time and animal care is already a major part of my daily routine through my nonprofit sanctuary and rescue. That gives me a very flexible schedule for feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications, enrichment, and plenty of one-on-one attention throughout the day. Safety and comfort always come first. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible and take introductions slowly when other animals are involved. I’m experienced with rescue animals, seniors, anxious pets, and animals who need extra supervision or their own space. I’m also comfortable with medications, mobility assistance, crates, gates, and keeping pets safely separated when needed.
About: I have experience with an array of animals. I have personally owned Dobermans, Shih Tzus, a husky, and French Bulldogs! Over the past 3 years I have begun fostering and helping a bit in rescuing kittens and a few litters of stray dogs! Taking care of and helping animals is a true passion of mine! I am currently enrolled in hybrid college. I spend another portion of my time on the farm taking care of things that need done! With my schedule being flexible I have availability to adjust when needed for animal care duties! We have a property of about 46 acres with an electric fence for the horses and a gate. The animals would be housed in the home. Outside activity would vary based off of the animals specific needs! Dogs would be outside at least 5x a day!
About: I've taken care of pets since I was 10. My neighborhood frequently go to me when they need a dog/cat sitter for a week and I'm used to going over as many times as needed. I'm patient and have had puppies growing up. This job is exciting for me because I genuinely love and care for all animals. I find that they brighten my day and I'm prepared to help my community take care of their pets. I'm about to graduate and have plenty of free time throughout my weekdays and weekends that I'm not out of town for soccer. I'll have lots of flexible times so I'm confident my schedule will work for many. I have a golden doodle named Stanley that loves to play and run around my yard he is a friendly giant that my neighborhood has all come to love. He loves walks and going for car rides.

I’ve had animals since I was very little and have always loved them, I plan to be a vet tech when I can. I also have two dogs a chihuahua and an American bulldog that are both neutered. They are both very friendly as well and most of the time the chihuahua minds his own business. (By the way they are both male dogs). My whole family loves animals and would love for your to come stay or visit and even walks would be great. I have a fenced in back yard with plenty of room for dogs to run in and much more. I work part time so I have time to take care of your pups! If I’m not home my boyfriend is, we have two pups that go everywhere with us I have a fenced in yard and I go on daily walks with my two pups that can help keep yours company. I have neighbors that are are very friendly and there dog had puppies!

I have the weekends off! So all that time, will be with your babies. I have a fenced in yard, and they get cuddles and full of love when they’re around us. I prefer their own comfort of their home so they’re not out of that.
About: I've been pet-sitting for several years in Marietta, and I consider myself well-experienced with all kinds of animals, from reptiles to giant dogs. All animals are special, and I can accommodate anything your furry friend needs. I have experience with many animals that are considered "difficult" to care for, such as elderly/arthritic, sick, or extremely high energy dogs and cats! I'm not afraid of any animal, and administering medication is a standard part of what I do if it's needed. I currently work 445pm-9pm Sunday thru Thursday, leaving me open for dropins in the mornings/early afternoons. Additionally, I am available for boarding on Fridays and Saturdays. My home is extremely pet friendly! I live with my best friend, and we are both huge animal lovers. Additionally, I make daily trips to the dog park and other local spots to provide lots of time to stretch!
About: What makes me different from other pet sitters is that caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm and have had the opportunity to care for and love many different types of animals throughout my life. Because of that, I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, needs, and quirks. When your pets are in my care, I treat them as if they were my own. I know how important it is to feel confident that your pets are safe, comfortable, loved, and receiving the attention they deserve while you’re away. I take the time to get to know each pet individually and make sure their normal routines are maintained as much as possible. For me, pet sitting isn’t simply a job—it’s something I genuinely love. Your pets aren’t “just pets” to me; they’re family. My goal is to give you peace of mind while you’re away and give your animals plenty of patience, attention, affection, and care while you’re gone. 🐾❤️ My schedule is currently very flexible, and I am available 24 hours a day to provide your pets with the attention, care, and companionship they deserve. My goal is to build a career doing what I truly love—caring for animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable while you’re away. ❤️ Every pet is different, so I’m happy to follow their established routine as closely as possible. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing with toys, getting lots of cuddles, or simply having someone nearby.🐶❤️ My goal is not just to watch your pet—it’s to give them the same love, patience, attention, and care I would want someone to give my own. I’m a dependable, compassionate animal lover who understands that pets are family. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stress-free environment where your pets feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Your pet’s safety is always my top priority. I pay close attention to routines, dietary needs, medications, and any special instructions you provide to ensure they receive the same level of care they’re used to at home. I also keep a clean, secure environment and never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations. Building trust with both pets and their owners is incredibly important to me. I believe in open communication, reliability, and treating every animal with patience, kindness, and respect. I’ll provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can enjoy peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in caring hands. Whether your pet loves playtime, long walks, cuddles on the couch, or simply sticking to their normal routine, I’ll make sure they receive personalized attention and plenty of love. I look forward to creating a positive experience where both you and your pet feel comfortable, confident, and cared for.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Amesville home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Amesville.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Amesville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
