This waiting period allows each dog to decompress, adjust to the new environment, and display their natural behavior before meeting others. If a dog shows signs of stress or discomfort, introductions may be delayed or adjusted for safety. 🐾About me: I was raised on a farm containing large and small animals so I was taught the importance of all living things, but the passion for them bloomed on its own. During my time as a veterinary technician, I gained valuable hands-on experience, including learning how to properly administer medications and mastering essential techniques. My experience at a professional boarding facility further reinforced my passion for providing personalized, attentive care through home-based pet services. I recently worked as a groomer's apprentice, but I’m currently studying to become a certified dog obedience trainer, which will expand my ability to support your furry family members. I’ve loved every moment of my past four years on Rover, from meeting incredible families to caring for pets of all types and personalities. 🐾As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give your pets the attention they deserve. I’m here to help whenever you need a trusted sitter! To ensure a balanced schedule for both my family and the pets in my care, my phone is silenced between 10 PM and 8 AM. If your fur-baby is a social butterfly, they’ll love visiting me. My home often welcomes friends and family, some bring their dogs for playdates, too! For less social pets, I will ensure a calm and comfortable environment tailored to their needs. While my new home doesn’t have a fenced yard, I’ve adjusted by providing supervised outdoor time with 15-foot leads in my spacious backyard. I also prioritize mealtime safety and feed pets in separate spaces to ensure a stress-free experience. If a crate is needed, I have one available so you don't have to transport yours!

About: I've had many years of experience between keeping my own animals as well as house sitting or just dropping in to check on your pets! I also offer the same service for reptiles! Preferably would like to service closer to Wytheville but will travel in some cases, extra fees will apply depending on distance! I currently have a full time job but I am looking to quit so I can focus on doing nails and going to school part time for that but I need a side hustle! I live in a school bus so I don't really have tons of room to take care of pets there but I am more than willing to come to their homes, I'd prefer that the pet is comfortable as possible and I cannot stay overnight in a home but I can stay as long as needed to make sure the care requirements are met

About: I have cared for several work friend's pets, including someone who had 7 medium-large dogs with a laundry list of special accommodations and medications needed I am an Army Veteran going to college, this leaves my afternoons and weekends completely free. I can alter the rest of my schedule to accommodate your pet I have a dog and cat of my own, so I have experience with the difference in the needs and behaviors of the two most common household pets. I care for their physical as well as their mental health to the best of my ability. I strive to care for all animals the same way.

About: Hello! I love all types of pets and currently have two dogs of my own. I am a student at Virginia-Maryland college of veterinary medicine trying to earn some extra money by doing what I love, playing with pets. I have experience with all types of pets at varying sizes and personalities. During my undergraduate career, I raised two Seeing Eye Dogs and helped other raisers with training. During this time, I worked at a veterinary hospital, participated in animal specific events like vaccination clinics, and groomed. From healthy puppies and kittens to seniors who need medication, I have seen it all and am prepared to help with whatever your pet needs. I hope I can meet your fur babies and shower them with love while you’re away. I offer additional grooming services, ask about them if your interested. As someone who owns two dogs, pet care is a priority in my life. Both of my pups get plenty of one-on-one time as well as long walks and enrichment in the house. During the day, the pups are crated while I am at school, but if my boyfriend is off of work they get to run around and play. As soon as I get home the dogs get taken out and fed. Along with daily care, I take care of all of their grooming and medical needs as well. I currently live in apartment complex which has a dog play area for your furry friends to get plenty of exercise. There is also a trail connected to the complex which will be utilized for long walks and plenty of sniffing opportunities. Both of my pups are very friendly and would be happy to be your pet’s playmate during their stay.

About: I am a big believer that humans need dogs as much as dogs need humans and I would love to be that human for your dog! I am currently a student at Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine earning a Masters degree in Biomedical science. I have classes during the week from 8-12, but spend every minute after class home in my apartment with the exception of an hour break to go to the gym. On the weekends i am often studying, so I will be home at all times. I have a small one bedroom apartment that has plenty of room for a dog to have free range. I allow dogs on the furniture and bed so that is no issue. There is plenty of room for a crate, which i would prefer if I am leaving the dog alone while I am at class. There is an excellent 2 mile walking trail around my complex that I do daily and would love to take your dog as my companion!

About: I've had a dog all my life except for the brief interlude (1965-1970) while I served in the Marine Corps. Since my kids have grown and left home my dogs are now my babies. I'm retired and have a lot of time on my hands. I'd like to have the option of caring for someones pet now and then to give me something to do. I love dogs and rarely met a dog that doesn't love me right back. My dogs are almost always with me. Excepting - going to the store in the summer when the temperature in the car would be too hot. I make sure my dogs are safe and comfortable.

About: Ever since I was born I had an animal right by my side . I have learned to take care of animals and provide for them. I have taken care of friends, family and neighbors pets in the past. I also have worked at a dog daycare called tail chasers so I have experience with big dog groups. I’m good with cats as well . I’m experienced with walking multiple dogs at a time because I got 3 myself. I’m currently working 3:30 am to 12:00 pm so I will have plenty time to spend with your animals. I’m free on the weekends as well . Willing to come to your place to house sit and take care of your animals. I have done that in the past for people. About: I have taken care of animals most of my life, and have had anything from dogs and cats, to chickens and ducks, snakes, goats, llamas, etc. I have successfully trained dogs in basic behavioral skills and administered medication of various forms to all my animals. I also have confidence with even the largest of breeds, having owned a cane corso, among others. I have experience leash training as well as acclimating dogs with new animals and curbing unwanted behavior. I work full- time, but can work with you, especially if I can plan ahead by a week or more. I do occasionally leave town, but again, can generally adjust my schedule accordingly. I prefer to allow animals freedom to roam around if possible, but understand animals have different needs. All walks are leashed, no exceptions unless you have a fully fenced and secure yard you prefer your pet to run around.

About: Hi! I have grown up with cats and dogs my entire life. In fact the only time I wasn’t around a cat or dog was during college, but then I played with dairy cows instead (Dairy Science major). I currently have two dogs: •Rocky, 9 year old Chocolate Lab/Pitt mix •Lacy, 3 year old all black German Shepard and three cats: •Miley, 8 year old DMH rescue •Shadow, ~7 year old DSH that found us •Athena, ~2 year old DLH that we just adopted July 2019. About: So I have always been a loner in life. I'm that person that wants to take in the strays. I always say the animals choose me. In today's society no one has time to sit home all day and play with their pets. Thats what im here for. I can potty train, Crate train, and leash train. I love to go on walks and send lots of updates. So pet sitting is my only thing going on at the moment. I accept last minute emergencies, or plan ahead visits. I can keep them all day or however long you need me to. If you need a middle of the night drop off, im your girl. My pets run free. I don't leash my own but if yours is a runner I have a tie out or I can put them on their leash for a nice walk. At night, mine sleep in their kennels with the door open. Its kinda just a bed with walls.

About: I have worked in a boarding facility for two years. I have experience with taking care of pets and walking. I have taken care of diabetic pets as well as given any medication to those who need them as well. I am currently home for the summer and have time while home to pet sit and watch your furry babies. i love working with animals and if i can help then i would love to. I would care for them as if they were my own and make sure they get the best care given.
