My roommate has a dog, so I am often out taking Harley on midday runs with me :) I aim to provide a safe environment for your pets. I can walk them during the day and check-in on them if that is needed.
About: I have grown up with dogs all my life and currently have 3 dogs Chelsea, Lucy and olive. I am a huge dog lover and would own 100 if I could. I do work full time. I am available to board animals on most weekends. I am also available to walk or do drop ins daily after 330 during school and 230 during summers. I do not have a fenced in yard. Yet. I do plan on getting it fenced in either this summer or the next. I can crate animals as well. I do have 3 of my own dogs that I have trained and walk most days.
About: I’ve been an animal lover since I was a child. I’ve had dogs and cats of my own for many years. I will love your pets as if they were my own! I’m reliably and pay attention to detail. In the nice weather I walk often with my 6 year old golden Jax soon to include our newest addition Winston. I work full time, but after work and especially on weekends I am always going for walk - why not enjoy with friends! Outside of walking, due to my own busy schedule drop in visits are the best option for my lifestyle. I do work full time, so typically my lunch hour, after work or before bedtime is most ideal times for me to assist others. My 6 year old golden goes on every walk with me unless it’s extremely hot outside. When Winston is old enough he will also join our walks. We can go for any length of time that is preferred for the individual client. My animals are fed twice a day, let outside regularly per their need and played with 24/7. I follow guidelines set by clients and will treat clients pets like my own. *Please note that I may take my dogs with me on walks with clients, needing advanced notice if this could cause issues l.
“Cassandra took such great care of our husky, MJ, during a couple of short notice requested drop in visits. She sent pictures and videos and MJ clearly loved their time together. I highly recommend Cassandra to everybody. She’s amazing!”

“Not only did she last minute pick up helping my dogs, but she went above and beyond by walking them and giving them SO much love! I got great pictures, and she treated them like they were her own pets! 10/10 recommend and appreciate the help/work she did with my boys!”

About: Lifelong dog care is more than just a hobby for me—it’s a passion that began with childhood dog walking and grew into a deep commitment after my Air Force service. Today, my own dog is my constant companion and she absolutely loves making new friends, making my home a welcoming environment for your pup. My flexible part-time schedule allows me to prioritize a consistent, high-quality routine for every guest, from strict feeding schedules to plenty of one-on-one attention. I am also currently expanding my professional skills through the American Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid certification to ensure your furry family members are in the safest hands possible. Whether providing a calm environment to relax or a reliable home-away-from-home experience, I treat every dog with the same love and discipline as my own. With a highly flexible schedule, I offer dedicated care that mirrors your pet’s home routine. I am experienced in administering medications, maintaining strict feeding schedules, and providing plenty of exercise through daily walks. Whether it is a midday stroll or overnight boarding, I have the availability and experience—including caring for my senior neighbors' dogs—to ensure your best friend is safe, healthy, and happy. I prioritize safety through a structured home environment and professional preparation. As a military veteran, I am naturally disciplined with following your specific feeding, medication, and exercise instructions to the letter. I am currently completing the American Red Cross Cat and Dog First Aid course to ensure I can handle any situation with confidence. My home is a secure, routine-driven space where your pet will enjoy a familiar flow—including morning dental treats, timely meals, and daily evening walks. I have a long-standing history of trust in my community, regularly boarding and walking younger, high-energy dogs for my neighbors. “So glad we were able to book last minute with Elsie! She was flexible with time and met with us prior to her checking in with our pups. Pictures and information were provided through the app and she communicated well. Thank you again, Elsie!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for over 15 years. I have experience with all sizes of dogs including extra large dogs. I love dogs of all ages...especially puppies. I have taken care of dogs that had disabilities/movement issues. I believe that dogs should be treated like people and be loved as much as possible because all they want to do is make people happy. I am a dog mom and have two wonderful, but crazy Labrador Retrievers. They are my kids and I would do anything for them. I'm looking to do this at least part time, but hopefully full time. I have a full time job right now, so my schedule is a little flexible right now and my weekends are usually open. I treat all dogs and cats as if they were my own. I treat them with care, respect, and lots of love. I am very patient and I care for each dog individually because they all have different levels of need.
“Alex was absolutely phenomenal! She provided excellent communication throughout the entire time she watched our pets—always quick to update us with photos and messages, which gave us total peace of mind. Our animals clearly LOVED her and were happy and well-cared-for when we returned. We can't say enough good things about her warmth, reliability, and genuine love for animals. Thank you, Alex—we'll definitely be booking with you again!”

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
