“Bentley had an excellent stay with Susan and Marcus. No the genuinely love fur babies! My Bentley had plenty of exercise and outings to explore to his hearts content! Susan even did a photo shoot with him and the pictures are just simply adorable!! I won’t hesitate to call them back whenever we go on a trip - and can totally enjoy the time away knowing my “baby boy” is in good caring hands!💕 if you want a caring loving environment in which to leave your pet, look no further! This is the place! Thank you Susan and Scott for caring for my little guy as if he was your own!😃”

“Josie took amazing care of Quila while we were away and truly treated her like her own. The updates meant so much to us and gave us so much peace of mind. Quila came home happy and relaxed, and it was clear she was well loved and very comfortable with Josie! We’re so grateful for Josie’s attentiveness and kindness and we will absolutely be booking with her again. I 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter! Thank you again, Josie!!”

About: I grew up with our K-9 police dogs at home and have been dog sitting for military families in Germany, New Mexico and Florida for 5 years. I‘m a stay at home wife with 2 dogs and no children. Unfortunately not able to watch any cats due to me being allergic to cats. Also not able to watch dogs that aren’t potty trained due to carpet floors. I have a fenced yard and 2 friendly dogs to keep your dog company. I have crates available if needed and lots of toys and treats.

About: Our place or yours? We live in a 3/2 home.. Our back yard is fenced in and secure. We do have two doggies that love other dogs. I can come to your home also. This is all I do now, and I love it! I previously worked 5 1/2 years at a local animal hospital. I have been working with Rover 8 years and I love it! My husband is a sergeant at a local prison. Several local families I have pet sat for, for almost 11 years. I can come over and walk your dog(gies) each day, or check on them several times a day. Our pets are family members. We have two children that love animals as well. If you choose us, your kids will be treated with the love and fun they deserve. I have given medicine, diabetes shots, accommodated special needs doggies and special diets. If your baby needs their own space we have an empty room they can make their own sanctuary. I was a member of AmeriCorps for two years, here in Okaloosa county. They taught me more about helping local children and other local charities. Now, my only job is pet care. I do go to a few people's houses and let their animals out, play with them during the day. Other than that, I am home with my family and the pets. I try not to have too early drop offs or too late pick ups, as not to disturb our neighbors. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs to keep your pets company. If your dog needs to be crated we can do that also. Pet Care is my full-time job. I board dogs out of my home, it's like they are part of my family. I also go to other people's houses and walk dogs to check on their pets. I have three fenced in yards two are dedicated to pet sitting. Most of the fences are new and they are all secure. My two sons definitely help with my pet sitting business.
“Carla is wonderful. I’m in from out of town and have a younger dog. She was up for the energy, and has a beautiful home and fenced in backyard. She has two older dogs of her own and her son is so sweet and tender with the dogs. She sent photos through the day, and kept my boy happy and out of trouble! This was my first rover experience and Carla has made me a believer. She put me at ease and showed me where my boy would be in her home, and asked questions I didn’t think to add in my “new mom overshare”. Truly cannot say enough.”

About: Hi my name is Dana! I’m married, no kids and a dog mama to Sami. Our husky Kya sadly crossed the rainbow bridge recently at age 12. I work from home as a nurse. I’m an avid runner, love the outdoors and I am active in my community both professionally and personally! I pride myself in being a people and animal person! I’m passionate about animals and would love to share the LOVE I have for my pup Sami with your fur baby! I think it is so important to be sure your pup or cat gets the attention they deserve each and every single day! This is one thing I aim to do for my own pup! One of favorite saysings is “If my dog can’t go then I’m not going”! If a trustworthy, energetic and active animal lover is what you are looking for....... then I’m your favorite pet caregiver. I am a stay home dog mama and work from home full time as a nurse. My day revolves around my pups needs from Dawn to dusk I have a fenced in yard with a slider door to easily access the play area. I have a fun, loving 3 year old pup Sami to keep your pup good company

“Alexandra is fabulous! She has watched my 1 year old goldendoodle several times and had been very flexible and accommodating with my hectic work schedule. You can tell she really loves dogs and I can always tell he's been well taken care of when I pick him up. I love getting updates during the day- she takes him on walks and he always comes home so tired and happy from playing with her dogs. I highly recommend her to take care of your baby(s)!”

“Kyasia was amazing! She sent updates with pics and was very accommodating with our drop off and pickup times. Our pup seemed much less anxious than when she stays with the sitter we normally use. Thank you, Ky!”

“Ashlea was awesome! She took a last minute request for Christmas Eve to entertain my large and energetic puppy, and sent multiple pictures and videos showing what a good time my dog was having. I 100% recommend her and would love to book in the future.”

About: I have cared for and trained my dog, my mother’s and grandmother’s dogs. I have also provided a variety of personal home-care services to senior citizens, special needs children & nannied off and on throughout my early adult life. I love caring for and helping others. I substitute teach during the school year and I would love to care for pets during the summer time! It is my goal to at least work part time on top of another part time job! :) I have an apartment where I can keep pets for a short amount of time; we have a nice walking area and a dog park.
About: What makes me different is that I don’t just “watch” pets — I care for them the way I would my own. I focus on calm, patient, in-home care so pets can stay in their normal routine and feel safe and comfortable. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality, quirks, and needs, and I always communicate with regular photo and video updates so you never feel out of the loop. Your pet isn’t just a booking to me — they’re family. Pet sitting fits seamlessly into my daily life as a stay-at-home mom, allowing me to balance caring for my own family while providing loving care for other pets. I can structure my schedule around my children’s routines, ensuring they’re taken care of while also giving each pet the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. This flexibility allows me to be fully present both for my family and the pets I’m entrusted with. As my main source of income, pet sitting is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to build a business I’m passionate about, all while staying at home with my kids. It allows me to work from home, maintain a predictable routine, and provide a safe, nurturing environment for animals and families alike. When caring for pets in their own homes, my goal is to maintain their familiar routine and environment so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I follow each owner’s specific instructions for feeding, medications, exercise, and playtime. I provide companionship, attention, and care tailored to each pet’s personality, whether that’s cuddling, playing, walking, or simply being nearby. I also make sure to respect the home itself—keeping it clean, secure, and organized while owners are away. I can handle tasks like bringing in mail, watering plants, and ensuring the home feels lived-in so owners can return to a happy, healthy pet and a well-cared-for space.
About: I have always had a dog by my side so I have a lot of experience. In our household live with us, our 2 year old Belgian shepherd Dodge, who needs to be worked out daily and our 12 year old Labrador mix Bella. For me, what counts is that our dogs are family members, so your dog is also in very good hands with me Since I am a housewife and mother, I am very flexible. If discussed in advance, I can also walk your dog on the weekends. Ich hatte morgens The dogs are allowed to move freely in our house. They can go on the couch or with us on the bed or playing in our backyard . If I’m in your house, I will play with them, cuddle and make your dogs feel safe
About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. Over the years, I've become the go-to pet sitter for friends and family whenever they travel because they know their pets will be safe, loved, and well cared for. I decided to offer pet sitting because I understand how important it is to find someone who is both trustworthy and affordable. My goal is to give pet owners peace of mind while providing their pets with a fun, comfortable, and loving environment. My fiancé and I both work from home full-time, which means your pet will receive plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. Our flexible schedules allow us to accommodate walks, playtime, potty breaks, outdoor time, and plenty of one-on-one attention. We have a fully fenced yard and two friendly dogs who enjoy meeting new friends. Our 6-year-old Australian Shepherd is well-socialized and loves having canine companions around, and our 3-year-old Lab-Husky mix, Ollie, is playful, affectionate, and always excited to welcome new visitors. We also share our home with three cats who are independent and generally keep to themselves. For pets who are crate-trained or need their own space, we have an extra-large crate available. In our home, pets are treated like family. They're welcome on the furniture and beds, and they'll get plenty of love, playtime, attention, and cuddles. I do my best to make every pet feel safe, happy, and right at home while you're away, so you can relax knowing they're in good hands. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because both my husband and I work from home. This allows us to provide frequent supervision, regular potty breaks, feeding on schedule, playtime, walks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Pets are rarely left alone for extended periods, and we can easily accommodate their individual routines and needs to help them feel comfortable and cared for during their stay. I provide a safe, comfortable, and supervised environment for pets in my home. I follow each pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and any special care instructions. Pets have plenty of attention and companionship throughout their stay. I also have a crate available if a pet is crate-trained or if the owner prefers crating when needed. My goal is to make each pet feel comfortable, secure, and well cared for while their owner is away.
About: Hi there! I’m an Alaqua Animal Refuge approved foster momma! I treat every animal like they’re part of my family, not just a booking. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away — whether that means structured walks, playtime, or plenty of snuggles on the couch. You’ll receive regular updates, photos, and communication so you always know how your pet is doing because I know how important peace of mind is when trusting someone with your best friend. Pet care fits naturally into my daily schedule because I own my own business and work from home. This allows me to provide frequent supervision, potty breaks, walks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I also have the flexibility to step away when needed for walks, drop-ins, or special care requests, so pets receive consistent care without long periods alone. I adjust care to each dog’s personality and needs — whether that’s structure and patience for puppies or extra comfort and gentle care for seniors. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow routines closely and provide regular updates and photos so owners always feel reassured. My goal is simple — happy, comfortable pets and owners who feel completely at ease while they’re away.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 167 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Alpine Heights. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Alpine Heights commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
