About: I’ve had pets all my life. Growing up as a kid, we always had dogs and cats and I was responsible for feeding/watering them. We also had ferrets. I’m a huge animal lover. Im a stay at home mom and my schedule is pretty flexible. I have no issues letting the kids tag along IF your fur baby likes kids. I will make sure your fur baby is comfortable. About: I have grown up in a pet friendly household and taken care of my neighbors pets frequently. I love being around both cats and dogs! I am on summer break so I have a lot of free time! I have an internship that is very flexible and once a week (ending soon though) but other than that I currently do not have any other things that interfere with my schedule. I like to create an environment for pets where they feel comfortable and relaxed. I love giving them lots of toys and playing with them, but knowing when to give them space or let them nap. I also love taking them on long walks or just giving them lots of pets :)

About: I am a professional animal behaviorist an animal trainer. I've trained dogs, cats, wolves, dolphins, birds and more. I trained my first dog when I was 10 years old in 1984. I began training animals and providing pet care professionally in 1998. I have been an animal behaviorist for 5 years and hold a master's degree in clinical animal behavior. Anyone who tells you they can train your dog or fix any issues on just their walks with your pet is pulling your leg. What I can do, is care for your pet in your absence and work with you on any training and behavioral issues your pet may have. I have fairly open availability for drop ins and dog walks. I don't provide overnight care or boarding. Special arrangements can be made if you require training or behavioral assistance. I rely on the pet guardian's guidance in what routine their animals are comfortable with. I relay solely on positive reinforcement based training. I don't work with shock, pinch, prong, spray, or vibrate collars. As a professional in this field for over a decade, I highly recommend against retractable leashes for the mechanical failure and safety issues they cause. Feel free to look up images of the injuries they cause. Be warned, some are fairly graphic.

I have one dog of my own, Theo, who is extremely friendly and playful with other dogs. If your pet needs social time that you can’t always provide, Theo and I are happy to help! If your dog doesn’t do well with other dogs, I’m also happy to come to you instead or keep them separated as needed. I have been around dogs my entire life and used to foster dogs for local shelters as well. I have experience with training and teaching dogs basic tricks and manners. I am accepting of all breeds and sizes, and just ask that your pet is dog-friendly, kid-friendly and potty trained if they are to come over and hangout with us! PLEASE make sure your pet is UP TO DATE on grooming (especially nails!), vaccinations, and flea and tick medicine. We get up at 7every morning (after a few snuggles) for breakfast, then we go for a long walk. If we have pent up energy, we will take an extra trip to the dog park for some free running! Most of the day is quiet and includes lots of snuggles and naps. We have dinner around 8pm, after our evening walk. Currently, since I have an 2 year old son and 4 month old daughter, and I’ve chosen to stay home with them. This allows me to have a much more open schedule for pets. My fiancé and I also share the responsibility of pet sitting, so please inquire about specific dates as we may be able to have someone available at all times according to our schedule for those dates. Crates are required for boarding! I realize each pet is different, so I ask the owner help me personalize care for their unique pet! Normally I like to shower pets with love and play, for dogs that are reactive, have resource guarding, anxiety, or special needs, I modify my approach according to the owner’s preference. About: While my last 10 years of employment have been in the schools and therapy centers, I have been caring for animals since I was about 10 years old. About: I have been around dogs my entire life. There isn't a time I can remember not having dogs around my entire childhood. So, I went into a dog-centered field. I am certified as dog obedience trainer, and have worked with my parents senior Westie. I am currently staying at home, so I have a lot of time. My husband works five days a week, and I would love to have a job. Usually Monday through Thursday are good, nine to three. I am hoping to eventually be able to board dogs overnight. I love dogs.
