About: I have had pets all my life. I have 5 of my own dogs of various shape and size and foster for a couple different rescues! I am very flexible, I'm available most of the time and love to meet new pets. I try to fit the needs of pet owners where I can. I don’t plan on doing any home care. I have 5 dogs of my own and also foster. This just isn’t possible at this time.
“This is our second time using Cindy...she is amazing! After a 13 hour travel day, it was great coming home to clean litter boxes and our cats that have been very well cared for! You can't put a price on peace of mind, and we won't hesitate to use her again!”

“This is our second time having Joey pet sit though this time it was drop in visits for our cats. She is an amazing sitter and I love the photos!! She is great to work with and we will continue to reach out! Our cat that likes to hide comes out for Joey!”

“Regan was great with my kitties! She was very attentive to the directions I provided. She spent time with them during her stop in visits and made sure they got treats and catio time as well as sent pictures! This was my first time using Rover and I well definitely not hesitate to use it again!”

About: I've been taking care of all types of animals for several years. Including snakes, lizards, cats dogs, and even a tarantula. I've provided exercise, care and the same love I have for my animals at home. I care daily for my own two cats, and work part time as a pet/ house sitter. Please check with me for my upcoming availability. I can rearrange my schedule to suit your needs. I will take care of your animal's needs with attention and care. Whether that means following a special meal plan, going on ten walks a day, or anything else they require. I’m happy to provide references from past clients. If you ever have any questions or concerns, feel free to call or text me anytime. My phone is always open to you.

“Wonderful with both of our dogs. Our standard poodle loves her longer walk. Our 15 year old miniature poodle who has vision problems loves his walks as well as the pickup and carry around. Paul is also excellent with his eye medication.”

“Hannah was so incredibly kind and loving with my puppy Winston. We did a meet & greet the day prior to her checking in on him which put me at ease. Hannah is very detail-oriented and truly just wants the best for your pup. Sometimes I worry I give too much detail or that I am too picky in how my puppy is cared for, but I didn’t feel that way at all with Hannah. She was reassuring and wanted to know details to provide consistency for our puppy. Hannah was also super accommodating and flexible. We love Hannah and I have a feeling Hannah will become a regular caretaker for our puppy while my fiance and I are at work! 🩵🩵”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for years! I had dogs growing up and I have my own cat now. I also have my own turtle! I work full time but am able to let dogs out depending on distance throughout the day. I am more than willing to spend quality time with your animal! I am able to stay/visit at houses to support your pet. I am unable to bring cats or dogs into my house due to my cat being a solo cat (her preference).
“Ramsey did an excellent job caring for my two cats. I’d trust them with her any time. Came home to find littler boxes and food bowls clean. I can tell she played with the cats during the drop in visits. Thanks, Ramsey!”

About: Hi! I’m currently in graduate school for social work and am looking to get back into pet sitting and dog walking during my freetime which is something that I have enjoyed in the past. I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels and understand that each pet has their own routine and needs. Whether it’s going for walks, feeding, playing, or simply keeping your pet company, I’m happy to provide reliable and attentive care. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pet!! I work second shift as a clinical coach at a rehabilitation center which gives me availability during the morning, early afternoons, and on many weekends. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I always follow your pet’s normal routine, carefully follow any instructions you provide, and make sure they have plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. I treat every home with respect, keep pets secure at all times, and provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident they’re happy and well cared for while you’re away

About: Hi there! 🐾 I’m a special education teacher who has summers off, and I’m looking for a fun way to spend my time out in the community doing something I love—caring for animals! As a lifelong animal lover and dog mom myself, I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your furry family members. Whether your pup needs a walk, playtime, cuddles, or just some extra attention while you’re away, I’m happy to help. I also love cats and am comfortable caring for pets of all ages and personalities. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re gone. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your furry friend this summer! Feel free to reach out with any questions—I can’t wait to meet your pets! 🐶🐱💕 During July, I teach summer school, so I’m available anytime after 12 PM for walks, drop-ins, and pet care. In August, my schedule becomes much more flexible, allowing for additional daytime availability. Once the school year begins, I’ll primarily be available on weekends and for evening/late-night care. As a teacher and animal lover, I enjoy spending my free time caring for pets and making sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, and love. I treat every pet as if they were my own! In a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medication (if needed), and plenty of love and attention. I know consistency is important for pets, so I make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while their family is away. In my home, pets receive a safe, clean, and loving environment. I have experience with both dogs and cats and understand that every animal has different needs and personalities. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing fetch, cuddling on the couch, or simply having a calm companion nearby, I’m happy to provide the care that makes them feel most comfortable
“Jenna was fantastic with our 3 dogs for daily check-in visits. She has a great personality and is very timely and professional in her work. We'd definitely use her again for dog sitting and highly recommend her!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 913 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Alderley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Alderley. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
