“Our cat, Chumley, took to Madison right away. She has a wonderful kind and loving energy. We felt very comfortable having Madison come into our home while we were away. Madison sent us the cutest picture of Chumley while visiting with him. We are very pleased with her service and highly recommend her! Thank you Madison!!!”

“Jonathan was awesome with my dog Thor. Absolutely loved every picture he sent on all drop in visits with him while I was away for a weekend, Thor was always super excited to see him and it was like he had been taking care of him for years based on his reaction. Highly recommend”

About: I have been sitting for animals on the side for about 3 years. I am currently attending school for pre veterinary science! I adore animals, my background lies within cats mainly but adore dogs and have testimonies from friends and family who report reliable care, thorough communication and attention to detail! I would love to sit for your cat or dog while you enjoy time away!! I manly handle weekend getaways or short trips! We can work out a flexible price that works for the both of us! I’ll meet you where you’re at. I will be free most of the time during the summer from May-September! I love when my pets sleep with me, cuddle and love to play! I cannot get enough belly rubs or tug of war time with my pups and quiet lap time and zoomies with my kitties! I will make sure your pup or kitty is enriched at all times while maintaining a healthy balance of rest and hydration.
“Rosanne was wonderful, she took care of our boys Shrimp & Zora with great care and even brought in our mail for us! We highly recommend her & will be using her services in the future!”

About: I’ve been taking care of all different kinds of pets since I was 10, specifically many dogs. I’ve also fostered/trained multiple foster dogs for the past 6 years and cared for my senior dogs and dogs with medical needs as well. I used to have 3 of my own but now a single dog owner to the most welcoming dog who loves to be around other dogs. If I’m not fostering or foster sitting, I’d love to sit for you and care for your pets! I do work, but have flexibility in my schedule to meet different needs. I’ll try to ensure we can keep your pets on their normal routines. I have a large fenced in yard with plenty of space to run around and a loving dog who’s used to welcoming all pets and humans. She’s also used to sharing all her things. Proper introductions always required.
About: Hi! I am here to make your life easier with taking care of the needs of your pets. I love animals and you can count on me to take care of them like they are my own. I am happy to care for your animals on evenings and weekends. They are always welcome to stay with me at my place as well. I live in a community where there is a dog park, plenty of walking areas and lots of other dogs. I will treat your home and pets like they are my own.
“Jessica cares for Buddy so well! He gets lots of play time. We suspect he might actually look forward to his play dates with her which makes leaving to go camping feel less stressful knowing he's having some fun too!”

“I’m so happy that I found Karen! She did a wonderful job taking care of my two cats. She sent so many photos and really made me feel comfortable leaving them in her care.”

“Rachel took such great care of my Loki and my apartment while I was gone. She was so wonderful with him and being able to inject him with the insulin daily. So thankful for her help!”

“Elisabeth took incredible care of my cat while I was away! I got plenty of photos and she was even kind enough to give in to his daily demands to be brushed. It was such a relief to know he was well taken care of while I was gone for two weeks. Elisabeth was able to step in and extend her visits when my return trip was delayed for a day. Highly recommended!”

“My babies are typically not too comfortable with people they do not know. Tatyjana Communicated with me that the dogs went under the bed but did not give up. She said she was trying to get them to warm up to her and they did. We will definitely have her back again.”

“Christina is a very sweet girl. My 2 kitties went right up to her, Nala is a little shy but she loved her. Christina did an awesome job! I had to book at the last minute and she was able to accommodate us. I will be using her in the future. Many thanks to Rover and Christina for being there ❤️”

About: I’m Mindy and I am a stay at home mom. I have two school aged children and a small dog, Mazie. We adopted her from the animal shelter and she is a therapy dog for the Paws for Love program. I have extra time on my hands and would love to care for your pet! I enjoy being outside and active and love taking my dog for walks and bike rides! I have a fenced in yard and live in a quiet neighborhood. I have experience taking care of cats and dogs, of course! Mazie is an easy going dog and very friendly and loving. She gets along with other pets as well. I do prefer crate trained dogs at nighttime. Since that’s where Mazie sleeps up in our room. Please feel free to ask questions and I would love to meet your dog and help in any way!
About: Hi my name is Samantha, I have a home I share with my toddler son and we have 1 pup. We have our 10yr old small spaniel mix, Daisy, that I’ve adopted from Texas. She gets along well with other dogs & loves to play. It was apparent that she never experienced her puppy days before our family took her in. I've had her for 8yrs now and she has become so comfortable and happy in her forever home with us and is very active. She loves to go out on walks and is an even better snuggler. I have had animals my entire life so I love to play, walk and go for runs with them. They have free-roam of the house and the fenced in back yard, and I'm ok with them on my furniture. My dog loves to walk when we can get out, but if not, she loves playing outside before I leave for work and as soon as I get home she runs the back yard. I work during the day M-F, however I work from home 2 days/week. I typically spend my nights home. I am in the military reserves so 1 weekend a month I am away from my home and try not to accept sitting during those long days. I would like more company for my dog as we recently lost her older fur-sister, this has been a transition for us all losing our sweet girl. I have plenty of toys and treats, and I ensure dogs always have free roam of our space. I would just ask that I'm made aware of any restrictions, allergies, behavior issues, etc. ahead of time. I will make sure your dog has the best service and attention in my home and will keep you up to date with their activities by texting pictures and video's through out their stay if you ever wanted! I work M-F, mix-matched teleworking days (flexible). I get up in the morning to let my dog play in the back yard, then she eats before I leave for work. We like to play in the back yard every 1-3hrs and we take breaks frequently so there would be some indoor and outdoor exposure for daily play (weather pending). My yard is fully enclosed so I like to bring my dog out with me to play, sniff, lounge and anything else. I have an outside pool that is for dogs so they can get water, play in it or lay down to cool off whenever they’d like. I have a fenced yard and a friendly fur baby to play with. I also have 2 crates available as needed if it’s a preference of yours. In your home, I can follow any instructions left to make sure your fur-baby feels as comfortable as possible at home in their space without you there.
About: I've been around animals ever since I was born (dogs, guinea pigs, cats, hamsters), and I've taken care of pets for 20 years. As a kid, I pet sat consistently for many neighbors down my block. I love animals and care deeply about every pet's well-being. Animals make me genuinely so happy and any chance I get to be around them, I'll take it! I currently work full-time with 3 days in the office and 2 at home. I am available evenings (5:30pm and on), mornings (6:00am to 8:00am) and I am flexible on the weekends. I will work hard to accommodate your schedule--so just send me a message and we can chat! Thank you for considering my services. I am most available on the weekends but can accommodate days during the week as needed as I do work from home 2 days a week. I am currently only doing drop-in visits for 30-60 minutes or weekly walking. I am not doing overnight or full house sitting at the moment. I will ensure the best care for your pet in their home by spending time with them, giving them the proper attention they need and, making sure they feel comfortable with me there! You will never have to worry while they are in my care. I will pay special attention to older dogs and dogs that need medication.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 481 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Alden Center. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Alden Center. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 90% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
