“I am over pleased with Miriael. Fancy was well taken care of and learned some things about potty training that we have been working on prior to the booking. I will definitely be using her again. Also, I do think that she definitely deserves a tip, but I’m not able to leave what she deserves at the moment, but I will make it up on future bookings. Thumbs up to Miriael.”

“Brennen and her family took wonderful care of Memphis, my 13-yr Chocolate Lab. Due to his past before I adopted him from a rescue, he has a little separation anxiety, so we always do a “meet and greet” before the longer stay. After a few minutes, it was clear he would be fine for the weekend stay. They have a nice property with a fenced grass back yard for playing and exercise. Memphis and Brennen’s son became buddies over the 3 day 2 night stay. I highly recommend Brennen and will definitely have her care for Memphis when I can’t take him on future trips.”

“Our stay didn’t work out due to our pups not getting along but I would still recommend Jessica! She has a great space for dogs and was very kind, and i know had our pups gotten along Clementine would have been well taken care of!”

“Audrey was honestly the best. Our cat Nova had a great time and was obviously very cared for. Audrey had great and fast communication, kept us in the loop constantly. She also gave us lots of pictures. 10/10 would recommend.”

Alicia kept me well-informed with regular updates and photos, so I knew they were happy and comfortable the entire time. She was also extremely flexible when my travel plans changed slightly, which I am incredibly grateful for. I’m so happy I found her on Rover, she is officially my go-to sitter!”

“Kika was amazing and took such good care of my two dogs!!! They are both rescue dogs and one is more stand-offish and a little scared, so I was pretty nervous to leave them and didn't know how they would do with a stranger. When I picked them up they were both so happy and totally loving Kika. She sent me updates while they were in her care which really meant a lot to me as it was the first time I had boarded my dogs. She had a wonderful yard for them to run and play, a real treat for them, and I could tell they had been loved and very well taken care of by Kika. I am so happy to have found Kika and will definitely be in touch with her for future boarding's. Leaving pets is hard and trusting someone to care for them is really tough. She eased all of my worries and I cannot say enough good things about her and how she cared for my dogs. Thank you Kika, you are wonderful!!!”

97% of sitters in Alcot can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Alcot.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
