About: Please read my full profile before deciding if I'm the right fit for you! I have a lifetime of experience with pets and pet care taking, and I love the pets I watch like they're my own! I am happy to help and care for your pets & have an affinity for elder pets. Dogs at least over TWO years old. -- Brief history & experience: Over the years, I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, amphibians, snakes, chickens, goats, ducks, and more! I am experienced with administering insulin and other medicines, and I am strict about not allowing them to eat any foods that aren't approved by their parent(s). -- Health & Stay Perimeters: I have long covid (google if you're unfamiliar) so I wear a mask indoors when people are present. This has never affected the pets I've watched, but it does mean I prefer not to stay in anyone's home where family, friends, or workers will be present at any point during my stay. Occasionally if someone does need to enter the home, I can accommodate brief visits, but the less frequent the better. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions! Long covid is not contagious. Also, if your home/yard is prone to ticks and your pets are prone to bringing ticks inside, I do not want to share the bed and risk contracting lyme, unfortunately. Please be upfront about the possibility of ticks on your pets, and if you're OK with us not sharing a bed due to tick presence, then we will be a great match! -- Lastly, I'm allergic to many fragrances/ air fresheners and laundry detergents/softeners, so please be sure to remove any plug ins, etc, and please don't spray any furniture scents like febreze, etc, prior to my stay. I will bring my own bed sheets, linens, and towels, and I'm happy to remake your bed with your own sheets before I go! Thank you!! -- Euthanasia Experience: I also have experience with the rare yet significant situation of coordinating veterinary euthanasia with the pets' parents in the event of major life illness/crisis. I have provided elder pet hospice care twice while pet sitting and innumerable times in my own life with pets I've owned over the years. While never pleasant by any means, know that your elder pets are in deeply loving, caring hands should something like this crisis arise. I provide video chat, trips to any vet of your choice (or an at-home vet I've worked with for years) to help us diagnose what your furry baby might be experiencing, and after you've talked with the vet yourself, watched over video chat, and decided to take the hard yet best decision for your pet, I am ready to help manage the process for a smooth, comfortable experience for everyone. Probably the hardest thing I've done in this line of work, but an important factor for anyone with elder pets who may experience their last moments while you are away and need somebody experienced and able to manage such a situation with grace. Just know they would be treated with the same care you would want to treat them during such an experience, and I would be in touch along every step of the way. Please write me with any questions anytime, thank you! Schedule: Please note, I work remotely until midnight or later most nights, as my work is largely based on the west coast. If your pet(s) do not sleep well, have accidents very early in the morning if they're not let out, or otherwise wake up before 9am, we might not be a great fit for a longer stay. Please be upfront about their bedtime behaviors when booking- I watch many pets who do great if I let them out at my bedtime! Safety, Trust, and Environment: I make sure to only feed pets the foods specified by their parent(s), because I know how sensitive pet tummies can be! I also make sure to keep my belongings out of curious pets' reach, and keep all cleaning supplies, foods, and vitamins/supplements out of their reach.

About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all kinds from rescues, seniors, puppies, and everything in between. I also have experience caring for cats and some smaller animals and reptiles. Feel free to ask me about your other pets and I’ll let you know honestly if I am able to provide care. I'd be a great fit if you're a detail-oriented or slightly worried/anxious pet parent who wants their routine followed to the letter, frequent updates, and someone who treats your home and family members with love and respect. Getting a routine right matters a lot to me. I ask lots of questions upfront and pay close attention to the small stuff: think feeding times, meds, favorite routes, comfort items, quirks, fears, or behaviors, because those details are what make a dog feel secure. I'd rather over-communicate than guess. I lived with and cared for a reactive dog for 13 years, so I know firsthand what it takes to help an anxious dog feel safe, and how to prevent conflict in the first place. All my dogs have been rescues, and I have a soft spot for dogs who need extra patience to warm up. I'm not a certified trainer, but I've spent years learning dog training, body language, and enrichment, and every interaction is rooted in positive reinforcement. I will require a meet and greet with your pet in advance of the first booking so they can become familiar with me, and so I can become familiar with their routine and needs. My schedule gives me plenty of flexibility to be present for your dog, whether that's extra walks, playtime, or just being around for company, and I'm happy to talk through what kind of availability works best for your pet! I work from home which allows me the flexibility to prioritize pet care in a way I wouldn’t be able to with a traditional office. This gives me the ability to keep anxious dogs company, breaks for play time, medication, cuddles or walks when they are needed, not when they can be fit in. I create a calm, secure environment where pets feel safe and comfortable. Whether in my home or theirs, I work on building trust by moving at each pet’s pace and honoring their boundaries. Safety is always my top priority, I supervise pets closely, follow all instructions carefully, and adapt to their unique needs. I keep spaces clean, hazard-free, and ensure pets have fresh water, proper food, and quiet resting spots. For reactive or anxious pets, I use gentle, low stress handling & positive reinforcement or redirecting to help them feel calm and supported. Every care plan is tailored specifically to your pet’s needs after we discuss what works best for them.

About: I have six dogs of my own, I have been an AKC breeder since 2009, and I would love the opportunity to spoil your pets while you are away. I have lots of time, love, and a nice facility for them. I currently work part-time, I am away 2 1/2 hours in the morning and again 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon. I am a bus driver and off for the holidays, weekends and summer. I have very strong 10 x 10 kennels set up outside with a 10 x 30 run. And I have a heated and air-conditioned building that will allow me to house 10 pups at a time. I have cots, puzzle feeders, and lots of toys and space to play.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs all my life and a tortoise for a few years until he got too big (lol). I absolutely love all animals and I am a wildlife major at West Virginia University, where I have learned the responsibilities of proper care of all animals including pets! I love taking my dog Stella for walks and would love to be active with any pets whether that’s a walk, playing outside/inside, or just keeping them company! I have dog sat since I was 13 for almost all my family members and respect the space and comfort of all pets! I’m currently unemployed for the summer because of online classes, but my days are extremely free even with 30 minutes - an hour of my time taken for the class. The class is also only once a week on any day, so it’s very flexible with managing pet care and getting class work done! I have one, very friendly dog, Stella, who is 8 years old but she enjoys puppies, younger dogs, and older dogs! I will separate them for eating/treat purposes as I wouldn’t want either pet to get defensive over their food if I am pet sitting at my house. I have pet sat at friends and family’s homes and follow directions clearly, but if I am uncertain of any instruction, I will always double check with the owner before continuing my pet care.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have been actively involved in caring for them from a young age. I’m experienced with daily routines including feeding, walking, playtime, and basic training reinforcement. I understand different dog personalities and energy levels, and I always prioritize safety, patience, and positive care. I treat every dog as if they were my own and make sure they feel comfortable and well cared for. I currently only work 2 days of the week, saturday and sunday, the rest of the week i am free, i go to the gym during week days, minimum time away from home is 2/3 hours on week days. i have a fenced yard, and 2 cats that are good with dogs, and if not i always have extra room else ware around the house, i actively feed, and change little, take on walls daily.

About: I’ve had 2+ dogs in my entire life. In my adult life I’ve had 2+ service dogs that travel with me. I am a critical care nurse who has taken pet CPR as far as safety. I have emergency meds as well. Luckily, I have a house with a fences in yard, animal friendly household with spare rooms and a heated/cooled garage/closed/secured garage for any kind of special separation needs (in heat/aggressive breeds/outside animals, etc). Currently off enjoying a break from work, .. . So as of now, my schedule is very flexible. My household/fenced backyard/garage, is sectioned off pretty nicely. So, I have a very flexible availability overall. I am very positive I can meet most requests/needs for boarding/grooming/daycare/etc. So just let me know! I have a three bedroom house with a fenced in backyard, doggie door, heated/cooled garage that is secure and closed off separate from the house with his own doggie door for added space.. is a very accommodating/adaptable layout also self-sufficient if need be, but I should be here the entire time

About: I have some experience with puppy and older dog training from the human society. I have dog sat continuously for months at a time during the summer. I believe all individual dogs and cats have unique personalities so it’s important to listen to each dogs verbal and nonverbal communication to make them happy and comfortable. I have a very flexible schedule. I can be available mornings, evenings, and nights. I have no preference between weekday or weekend. I am happy to discuss a schedule with the pet owner. I have two dogs of my own. One german shepherd husky and another hound mix. They are wonderful but they are territorial in their home. So I prefer to house sit at the pet owners home. I do not offer my house.

I am available weekends, Monday through Wednesday both early mornings and evenings after 5. Thursday and Friday I am available all day .
