About: My husband and I have been watching dogs in our home for over 10 years. Our busy lives of work and family have always held us back from owning our own dog. To satisfy our love for dogs we started watching our friends and families dogs and over the years thru word of mouth we have started getting phone calls asking if we would take on more dogs and then joined Rover. We have experience with small to large dogs, dogs with special dietary needs, dogs that need to be able to run, dogs that want to sit on your lap, to dogs that have medical needs. We believe that dogs should be treated as part of the family. We allow them to sit on furniture, sleep in bed etc.. Our jobs have afford us the ability to be able to adjust our schedules to be flexible and have the option to work from home when we have a dog staying with us. This allows us to be home with your dog to ensure they are getting plenty of play time, outside time and lots of attention. It is very rare that your dog will be home alone for a period of time. Our home is your dogs home... we give the dogs full access to the house. We are non smokers and do not have any pets of our own or small children. We walk the dogs twice a day and have an acre of land that dogs are free to roam, run and play -we like to play ball and tug a rope. We do provide a ground stake with a leash for those that like to run "free". We have ability to work from home and have very flexible schedules when needed. Which in turn allows us to very rarely leave your dog home alone We treat the dogs just as if they were our very own pet.. as part of the family. They have free range of the house .. on the furniture and beds.

About: Dogs have been part of my life for more than 30 years, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. Three of my own dogs lived to be 14-15 years old, giving me extensive experience with senior care and age-related health issues. For the past year, I've fostered Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, and various mixed breeds through WAAGR, helping them adjust to new environments, build good habits, and receive the exercise and love they need to thrive. I also play a role in evaluating and selecting adoptive families, one of the most important and rewarding parts of fostering because it helps ensure each dog finds the loving, lifelong home they deserve. What sets me apart is my experience caring for senior dogs and dogs with complex medical needs. Over the years, I've cared for dogs with kidney disease, blastomycosis, chronic ear and skin infections, vestibular disease, and other serious health conditions. I'm comfortable administering oral medications, managing medication schedules, providing subcutaneous fluids, following detailed veterinary instructions, and monitoring for changes in behavior or health. One of my dogs earned the AKC Canine Good Citizen certification, giving me experience with positive reinforcement and reinforcing good manners and routines.
