About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, so caring for them has always been second nature to me. When we moved to Findlay, we started watching our friends' dogs while they went on vacation, and I absolutely loved it. It was a great opportunity to spend more time with dogs, getting to know their unique personalities and care routines. At home, we have a sweet German Shorthaired Pointer who loves to play with any dog that crosses his path. He’s full of energy and joy, always ready for a game of fetch or a run in the yard. We also have a 16-year-old dog whom we rescued when he was 5. Caring for him over the years has been a rewarding experience, and we're dedicated to making sure he’s as comfortable and happy as possible in his senior years. Together, our dogs have taught me so much about patience, love, and the joy of being a pet parent! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work full-time, but I make sure to go home for lunch, or my husband does, to check in on the dogs. After work, we spend quality time with them by taking them for walks, playing fetch, and enjoying plenty of cuddle time. It's a part of our day that we always look forward to, ensuring the dogs get the attention, exercise, and love they need. When caring for pets in my home, I treat them just like my own dogs. They get the same attention, exercise, and love. I make sure they have a comfortable space, enjoy walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. I also provide them with the same treats my dogs enjoy, ensuring they feel right at home. If it's a client's home, I follow their specific instructions and routines to make sure their pets feel safe and cared for in a familiar environment.

My 15lb anxious terrier/dox mix was so relaxed being picked up that I have a feeling he believed the stay with Emily and her family to be a second home situation. She has a beautiful, safe set up that looks like a doggo resort. It can be years between instances when we leave our pup with anyone and what we tried once for just two days with a nearby kennel was definitely not for him. With Emily he was very very clearly loved and cared for in a way that worked for him. The stay with Emily was incredibly positive for him and he found his people in her home. He was calm as a cucumber and not at all annoyed with us upon reuniting. He has been himself since coming home, no extra stress or out of normal behavior which means his stay was fantastic. He has a small medical issue that can be ignited with stress (which even happens with us when we travel with him) that he did not return with so that is a pretty outward, objective indication of his state of comfort the entire week. Emily has tremendous knowledge and understanding of different dog personalities which I am sure helped his stay be so successful. I only wish that we were closer so we could avail ourselves of Emily's services more often. I would start planning weekends away at the drop of a hat. I am so glad we took a chance with Rover again (after not using the services for quite awhile) and found Emily!”
