About: Pet Experience: capable of walking multiple dogs, capable of walking big dogs, experience with allergies, experience with potty training and basic command training :) :) Available Monday-Friday after 5:30pm. Anytime Saturday and Sunday. Plenty of time for a walk or two on the weekends. Weekdays I have work. On work days dogs go outside every 4 hours for an hour. Fenced in yard, nice area to go on walks, plenty of visitors going by daily. Please note the fence is only 4ft so no jumpers please

About: Between family, friends, and neighbors, I have walked and sitted many kinds of dogs throughout the past 10 years. Most recently, I spent the last semester of my school year watching a 2 year old dachshund weekly. I am home for the summer from college, so I have ample time to watch and walk your dogs! For walking, I have the most availability on weekdays. My yard is fenced in and dog proofed, as my family had a dog for 10 years. With my own experience in having a dog, I would have no trouble caring for yours.

“My dog Rex, a 12 yr old Pom, was very hipper. He didn't like many people. His continues barking and growling kept many of our friends at distance. However Melanie was able to hold him, pet him and he just chilled on her lap. This was amazing progress not to mention that it was a great relief for me. I would recommend Melanie in a heartbeat!”

About: I've owned and cared for cats my entire life and began pet sitting for neighbors & friends ~10 years ago. I love all animals and truly adore being able to meet and bond with new pets as a part of my daily life. Something to note: I have experience medicating cats since my fur baby was a diabetic who required insulin injections daily for 5+ years of his life. I'm fairly new to Rover (~2 years active), hence my lack of reviews compared to other sitters, but I assure you that I do everything in my power to exceed all care expectations and treat your home with the utmost respect :) I work part time in Stony Brook, primarily on Wednesdays. My shifts are no longer than 6 hours typically. My schedule is very flexible and I am open to working with each pet owner to meet their care needs. My personal cats have always been indoor/outdoor because we never wanted to deprive them of the outside world. I understand why some pet owners only allow indoor animals and I completely respect that! My home has always treated its animals with as much care as you would a baby. Although I do not do take-home services, I will treat your home with an equal amount of respect and kindness as I do my own.

About: Growing up, we always had animals in the house. We currently have Milo, a handsome but stubborn Chow German Shepard mix and Frankie, a rambunctious orange tabby. We also have Lucy, a petite black cat. I’m comfortable administering medication, such as insulin, if necessary. I started using Rover as a way to get more involved in animal care. I received my MBA from Stony Brook University in 2019 and have been searching for something I’m really passionate about. I truly believe that animal care could be my future. I currently have a full time job with a hybrid schedule and I have my own car. I have hour long breaks and a lot of flexibility on my work-from-home days. I have a fenced in backyard where my dog and cat like to roam. Taking dogs to parks can be tricky if they do not socialize well with others.

It takes a lot of patience to care for Rex and Gabriella definitely has it. Not everyone can care for an older dog and it takes a real special person to do so.
