“Had to go out of town for the weekend and left my little dog with Felice and Tyler. They have a nice fenced yard and dog friendly house which is great. You can tell they love dogs and are very knowledgeable about them. My dog, Sophie, is not used to being around other dogs so I was worried she would not fit in, but it was unfounded. We had a meet and great a couple weeks beforehand so she met their dog and sniffed around the backyard. I got periodic updates and photos, which was reassuring. I will definitely take her there in the future.”

“Lingli did an amazing job. She provided pictures every day and I could tell my cat really got comfortable with her by the end of the stay. Will definitely be using her in the future!”

“Brittanie and Ryan were absolutely amazing! It’s hard to find people you can trust with your fur baby, but these two are serious dog people. They took Millie in as one of their own and provided her with love and me with multiple updates to put my mind at ease. I will definitely be using them in the future!”

“Just picked up my pups from staying with Alex for the weekend. They had a great weekend playing with Reese. Alex sent us pics of them and they were so relaxed and happy. They look forward to staying again!!!”

“Molly loves staying with James And Mary and it brings us great peace of mind that she is with them when we travel. I get updates and photos and she always seems like she’s had a wonderful time. She’s actually sad when she gets home that she misses being there and playing with the other pups that they also dogs sit at times.”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter with our pups!!!! Daily updates and pictures!!! Was wonderful in making us feel like our babies were in good hands!!!!”

“Angie accommodated me last minute when our previous Rover sitter had a medical emergency and could no longer sit for us. She took amazing care of our golden retriever Jackson and was very communicative sending tons of updates, videos and pictures! Jackson had his own vacation away from us and did not want to leave. We would absolutely use Angie again!”

“Terry was fantastic! We met for a meet and greet beforehand and he was very attentive with questions. Everyday he sent pictures and little updates. The dogs looked very comfortable, tails wagging, and were very happy when picked up! Thank you so much again!”

“Lydia was fantastic! She welcomed her home to us with her lovely family including her chickens during our meet and greet. We proceeded to boarding 2 nights with her. Her home provided a warm, cozy and energetic vibe for our Poodle who is out going and craves human interaction. Lydia was not familiar with poodle grooming initially but after a quick demonstration and positive feedback she mastered it in no time. I appreciated her attention to detail, ability to communicate throughout the day and her willingness to learn how to care for specific dog breeds. It was a mutual rewarding experience and she even supervised her children doing obedience training with our pup.”

“Kelly was a joy to work with and she made us feel very comfortable to leave our sweet dog with her. She was lovely and sent constant photo updates. I will definitely leave Mila with her in the future!”

“Priscilla was so great with Kai. She went out of her way to take our large puppy into her home. Everyday she sent us updates and pictures. We are so grateful to have found her. I highly recommend her!”

“Karen was a delight from our first meet and greet throughout the process. We were completely confident in her ability to care for our large dog. She was attentive and thoughtful in asking questions regarding his care. We appreciated all the photos and communication while he was at her home. She gave him tons of attention from walks to belly rubs and snuggles. We would recommend her without reservation and look forward to booking with her again!”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs and cats my entire life and cannot remember a time I didn't love them all. My cat is no longer with me but I still have dogs and would love to care for your pets as I currently do my own. I can handle big dogs and little dogs as well as am willing to clean out your cats litterboxes. I'm happy to tussle with big dogs and take naps with lap dogs anytime! I'm a college student looking for work over the breaks and any pet time over the semester as I'll be away from my own. I'm happy to work around my class schedule to be with your pets as much as possible. I have a mostly fenced yard with the only opening being the driveway but intend to do walks and keep pets leashed just for safety. My own home has two dogs that are great with other dogs, both of them being on the smaller side and great with people as well. When I'm up at school there will be no other pets up there and the space will be fully for your pets. I'm also able to do house sitting, walks, and drop-ins for your pets to make sure your pets are getting love and attention when you're away.
“This was our pet’s second stay with Susan and he got so excited in the car as if he knew where he was! He walked in and immediately ran to Susan to say hello and started making himself at home by emptying the toy basket. He enjoyed plenty of walks outside and we could tell he was def comfortable and had a nice time!”

“Lorna was great with my fur baby. He is a puppy, so he is still a little hyper, but that did not bother her at all. She sent me updates and pictures and in the pictures, he was doing the same things he does at home so, I know he felt welcomed at her home.”

From the meet and greet to pickup, Stanley was incredible! Very communicative, friendly, and warm towards us and Scruffy. We knew Scruffy would be in great hands in a loving home while we were away. Highly recommend Stanley and will 100% book him next time we need a sitter!

This is our second time having our pup Niko stay with Karen and her family and we are so grateful! We joke that while we’re on vacation, Niko is also on vacation at Karen’s house because he is so well taken care of. We definitely recommend Karen and her family!

Jenna was an amazing choice to board for me while I was out of town. My chihuahua has separation anxiety so I was nervous, but Jenna was willing to do 2 meet and greets with us and was very inquisitive about her habits or behaviors to look out for. She was very communicative with updates throughout the day and photos. She’ll be moving soon but I hope not far as I’ll absolutely be reaching out to book her again.

Erin was fantastic! My dog is only 5 pounds and can easily slip out of the front door when someone is at the door. Erin was VERY consciences of my concerns and I was very comfortable with her visit even though this was our first time boarding with Erin. You are in good hands with Erin!

Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
