“Gabby had the best time for her stay away from me. She received excellent care with Angi. I received pictures of Gabby every day and Angi filled me in how she was doing. Angi said she was a very good girl. Thank you Angi. Jeannie”

“Alesia and family treated Buddy as a family member. Buddy is older and likes his space from other dogs and Alesia made sure he was able to have a place to go to get away from the other more active dogs. We will definitely book again!”

“Mikayla and Jared took such great care of our sensitive dog! She was so nervous and needed some extra attention to adjust. By the time I picked her up days later, she seemed very relaxed and comfortable. Thanks so much!”

“Christina B is an absolute Rockstar hero. She and her family helped my boy and I when in a tough spot. They truly extend themselves around those that come into their care. I picked him up and though he was excited to see me I know they made their home his too. I cannot express enough gratitude for her professionalism and care.”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life! I grew up in a farm and I was always playing with our dogs and cats! Pets bring me so much happiness! I am self employed so everyday looks different regarding my availability. I seldomly work weekends and so I have the most availability on weekends and/or evenings. I do not have a fenced in yard so I take the dogs out in leashes to ensure safety. I have 2 dogs so my house is pet friendly.

“Lindsay and her family always take such good care of my pup. With a smaller dog, that often takes a bit to warm up to folks, it’s a huge reassurance that he’s always treated like family at Lindsay’s.”

“Zach was great and put all my anxieties at ease!! Instantly knew my dog was in good hands with him. He updated me with pictures of my boy and his communication was great! Would 100% recommend him to anyone!”

“Our experience with Jamie was great, she sent lots of pictures, and she was so sweet with our dog. It seems they had a great time together. We’ll definitely book her again.”

“Lauren was amazing, we never used Rover before until this weekend and our dogs were taken well care of and she sent us videos and pictures of how they were doing through out their overnight stay which made me feel so much better!!! Will definitely ask her to watch our 2 corgis again!! ?”

About: I love animals, being around them playing with them and making them feel as if they were at there own home, and making sure they are happy and comfortable. I’m a stay at home mom, I bring my daughter on walks and sometimes go to the park, we like to stay home sometimes and just chill out on colder days. I like to play with dogs and my baby loves the company of dogs, I can crate them when needed if that’s how you do things, I’d keep them on there schedule that they would normally have at home.

About: There have been at least dogs in my home my entire life. Even before I could talk, there was a family dog and my dad's hunting dogs around me from the time I was born. I received my first dog when I was seven and when I left for college, I got my first dog on my own and made sure that all of his healthcare was up-to-date and preventative instead of reactive. Ever since I was nine, I also lived on a farm in northern SD, so I also have experience with horses, cows, outdoor cats, bunnies, sheep, and hunting dogs. Since my graduation in 2007, I have owned dogs and ferrets but my friends tend to ask me to take care of their animals, so I also have experience with birds, indoor cats, sugar gliders, and bearded dragons. With dogs, I have the most experience with the following breeds due to owning them at some point in my life: poodles, dachshunds, corgis, and shiba inus. My family and friends have allowed me to also get experience with great danes, bloodhounds, golden retrievers, german short-hairs, brittany spaniels, rotties, pitties, bernadoodles, aussiedoodles, beagles, shitzus, and mixed breeds. I have a professional-grade washing station in my downstairs bathroom (my husband and I own the house we live in) and I brush my dogs' teeth every other day. I have administered subcutaneous injections to pets (dogs, cats, and horses) and everyday I ply our particularly picky shibas with vitamins and/or medication. If your pet has any special needs, do not hesitate to ask me as I there is a good chance I am already familiar with it. If not, care details from you will be strictly followed. In December 2021, I had a stroke that compromised my vision (double when I am not focusing on something and blurred on the sides), my balance (I am allowed to walk places but cannot run/jog yet but maybe someday), and my energy (I cannot be go-go-go 6-8 hours during the day but have more than enough energy to devote to pets in bursts). Although I graduated with my law degree in 2017, my "day job" is substitute teaching in the Sioux Falls school district and I work with kids aged 6-18 and am most often assisting special needs children. If you are interested in dog daycare, then he or she will be just included in part of the shiba pack that I have. Someone will be home with them at all times unless there is an emergency, as my husband works from home and I only have to run errands a couple times a week. If you are interested in overnight, I try to stay close to whatever routine has been established both in my home or yours. My pups sleep in our bed with us, but larger dogs likely won't fit. We have large dog beds to offer, but they sometimes like their own crate because it feels safe to them. If you are more interested in me coming to your home to take care of your dog, I will visit the home at 8:00 am, 2:00 pm, and 8:00 pm unless you have preferences. Other pets have schedules and needs that are vastly different, so it would be a negotiating thing. My friends call me the crazy pet lady because I love pets of all shapes and sizes, even if I am limited in what I can have myself. My husband consistently reminds me that Sioux Falls has a legal limit to how many animals you own, or I would probably have all the animals. I also like to keep owners up-to-date on their animals and take pictures/videos of their babies every visit. My pack of shibas are spoiled, so I'm not sure if my care is normal or "extra", but any dog that enters my space would have the same care. I know that my knowledge is limited for other pets and so care/spoiling is only within the parameters set by the owners. The pack is let outside to a completely fenced in yard around 8:00 am, again at noon, and then whenever they would like until their last outing around bedtime at 10:00 pm. Treats that are either homemade or meat-based (predominantly because my middle shiba is picky) are offered with most outings, as my youngest has come to expect it. Every other day, they get their teeth brushed but they actually look forward to it ever since I switched to a toothpaste they seem to love. Then they get cosequin every night for their joints. The two older shibas are fed once in the morning and once in the evening, while the youngest is freefed.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for the last 6 years. I have 3 of my own. I look forward to meeting and loving on your pups! I work full time at home, and have flexibility when needed. I have evenings free to take your dog for a walk, play, and snuggle! I have a fenced in backyard with 3 other dogs who love to play. I cater to their needs and will do the same for your dog.

“Mikayla was wonderful once again. I have had her watch my puppy 3 times now for 3 to 4 days at a time and my puppy seems relaxed when I go to pick him up! I would definently recommend her to anyone!”

About: I have trained and owned animals my whole life. I graduated with a veterinary assistant degree from western Iowa tech in Sioux city Iowa. Animals are my world and I love working and hanging out with them daily. I own a dog and 2 cats and love to cuddle them and train them so they can become and live their best life possible. I can give all my animals baths, exercise, positive reinforcement and love anytime they need it. I have a huge back yard and love to play with them outside too.

About: I’ve lived my entire life with pets of some kind. Dogs and cats. I have had my own dogs for over 10 years and have never let one I don’t love! I work from home all but one day a week so I am home with my dogs all day and am able to let them out, feed them, snuggle them whenever they need! I have a fenced yard and 2 smaller dogs that love making friends. I am home all day but one a week so am able to make sure they are attended to with all their needs!

“I booked Justin last minute and couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the moment we connected, he was super responsive, professional, and genuinely caring. My dog immediately felt comfortable, and I got regular updates (with the cutest photos!) that gave me total peace of mind. It’s clear Justin truly loves animals and takes his work seriously. When we got home, my pup was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I feel beyond lucky to have found such a fantastic sitter on short notice. Highly, highly recommend – will definitely book again!”

“Jesse has been watching my Millie for the last 7 years. My husband and I like to travel and unfortunately, many places we go, Millie can't come. So, Millie stays in Jesse's home. She's like a member of the family. I never have to worry about her care. Jesse's dogs are very social and get along well with Millie. I also give Millie supplements and Jesse makes sure to give them daily. She also gives Millie baths when needed and will trim her nails (which Millie never lets me do). And, she sends me pictures and videos while I'm gone. I strongly recommend Jesse for your pet care needs.”
