“Laura was an excellent care provider of our dog, Happy! Happy got sick the day after we left town… He developed pancreatitis…The vet thought from the cicadas he had eaten the days before. Laura checked with us and took him to the ER (vet) because she saw blood in his diarrhea. They kept him for two days for IVs, meds, etc. when he started eating, she was able to take him home and took excellent care of him as though he was her own dog. She cooked chicken, and rice to help him start eating again. Her dog, ‘BOO’ watched over Happy also. She kept us informed with videos and texts every day. When we got back home, Happy was clearly feeling well at Laura‘s home and happy being with BOO. Laura keeps a sharp eye on the dogs. We definitely recommend her!!!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life and currently have four large dogs – three of my own and one foster. I also volunteer with local animal rescues and spend many Fridays at the Dog Pound, giving all the animals love, walks, vaccinations, and sometimes even a trip to my home (I’m always joking that I’m one dog away from a divorce – but he knew what he was getting into!) Joining the Rover community lets me share my passion for caring with other pet owners. In case of emergency I am fifteen minutes away from the emergency veterinarian after normal veterinarian hours as well. I work part time 25 hours per week. Other than being away from home five hours per day I am available at all time. My love for animals simply cannot be expressed with words. I am skilled at caring for animals with special needs as well as administering medications. I have a large fenced in back yard with lots of room to romp and play! One is outside full time (unless it’s freezing cold and I have to force him inside). I also have one large kennel outside where my foster dog stays most of the time. All dogs are up to date on vaccines and receive monthly flea tick and heart guard meds. As for your home, I’m up for a meet and greet depending on what you need!
About: I’ve loved animals my entire life. I’m a disabled nurse and providing care and love to animals fills the void left in my life after taking care of patients for 16 years as an RN. I’m disabled and have been for 8 years now. I can’t think of anything more fulfilling than being able to give care and love to other peoples pets!! I go to church on Sundays and Wednesday evenings. Other than Dr.’s appointments my schedule is open. I will protect and care for your pet as if they were mine. I treat my dog like family because she is. About: I've always had animals from dogs to cats to hamsters. The love and joy and animal brings is something very special. I would love to get to know you and your animals. Currently I am trying to go to school so I can make a better future. I am currently in between jobs because of that. About: I am trained in CPR for cats & dogs. I have been around animals my whole life, and have grown up with multiple veterinarians in the family. I am the kind of human who pulls off to the side of the road when they see a bag or box to make sure there isn’t an animal(s) inside. I have 2 cats of own! A three year old tortoiseshell named Whiskee Sour and a 2year old mixed breed white kitty named Sweet Purrlot (like Merlot). And no, I do not drink LOL. I had roommates with both cats & dogs when I lived in my college town and I pet sit for them frequently. I am happy to service families with any type of fur-baby. They are all loved by me! I just finished my 5th semester at WVU and have the entire summer off (until the beginning of September)! I only have 2 trips planned (one at the end of May and another at the end of July) thus far this summer. I am very flexible with my time. I am great at following any instructions and warnings you give me when going into your home- I prefer crystal clear instructions on what to do and how to handle your babies. About: I am the biggest animal lover! Everyone I know has relied on me to take care of their beloved fur-babies and you guys should too! I am new to Rover, but not new to animal care! About: From training horses to raising puppies and kittens, I’m well accustomed to the needs of nearly all animals. Not only do I bring all the qualifications, I also bring tons of love. “Laura was an excellent care provider of our dog, Happy! Happy got sick the day after we left town… He developed pancreatitis…The vet thought from the cicadas he had eaten the days before. Laura checked with us and took him to the ER (vet) because she saw blood in his diarrhea. They kept him for two days for IVs, meds, etc. when he started eating, she was able to take him home and took excellent care of him as though he was her own dog. She cooked chicken, and rice to help him start eating again. Her dog, ‘BOO’ watched over Happy also. She kept us informed with videos and texts every day. When we got back home, Happy was clearly feeling well at Laura‘s home and happy being with BOO. Laura keeps a sharp eye on the dogs. We definitely recommend her!!!”
