I tried Rover once before; I selected a house sitter, and the person indicated she was staying, but I don't think she spent much time here; there was little sign of her living here and my cat was hysterical and needy when I returned. A young couple for house sitting is a good idea - they won't get lonely or bored by themselves. They were personable, responsible, and responsive, with good communication. They sent me lots of videos every day of my cat being content and entertained. My cat tends to be afraid of men, but she warmed right up to Jay, he was good with her. I am currently play basketball at Shepherd University so I have free time and I enjoy being around animals. Definitely one of my greatest hobbies! I love to take care of animals I’ve had dogs my whole life! Stay in a safe environment and take care of them like my own
About: My husband and I have been around dogs our entire life, small to large breed, we love dogs! Our little one absolutely loves having them around, being outside, throwing ball, treats, etc. So, your pet would need to be great with kids :) We live in the beautiful Whittier neighborhood with plenty of walking options. Our backyard is enclosed with a high eight foot fence. So, your pet would be plenty comfortable. Or, if you're away, I could come to your pet for their time outdoors. I have a small SUV, so transportation is always an option! We're comfortable letting your pet roam the house while we're here and away. We would only take on more than one dog after talking to the owner of our current stay, and the dogs are compatible, or they come from the same home! With that said, we do not have any four legged pets of our own.... only tanked ones ;) three amano shrimp, two tetras, and two narite snails! So, your pet will have the luxury of our undivided attention! When your pet would come to stay with us, we do ask for as much info/'their 'stuff' as you can bring/provide regarding your pets normal/routine at their home, commands, tricks, toys, food, bedding... etc so your pet is comfortable and enjoys their time here, and so we can keep them in as much of a similar framework as their home. The Rover site allows for pics and videos. So, we like to take a few during their stay and send them to owners! Our current stay and past stays have really enjoyed this! Prior to you or us making a decision on your pets stay, we would like for you all and your pet to visit our home. This will allow you to see and get a sense of our neighborhood and home - where your pet will be staying, and meet us! I hope this has been helpful for you!

About: I believe in offering dog boarding at affordable rates and want my clients to book with me with the confidence that their dog will be welcomed into our family and cared for like they were our own (who we looove. A lot!). If your dog wants to join in on our active routine, they'll get a 1-1.5 mile walk in the morning, an early afternoon free-play romp in the securely fenced yard, another 1-1.5 mile walk around dinner time, and then hanging with the family in the evening. And I am happy to accommodate any of your preferences for their care! I work from home and am able to spend quality time with the dogs throughout the day. The dogs I care for fit into our family routine, which is active and close-knit. I have a fenced yard that gives the dogs plenty of room to run and play, and I have two Australian Shepherds who just love having a pack. Mine sleep in crates overnight and are fed separately. They are also happy to share their toys to help keep your dog occupied!
