“We recently moved to NOVA from Midlothian and had to find a new Rover Ally to watch our 2 sweet Goldens- We used someone who lived in the same town and it did not go well at all so we were very nervous about leaving them again with anyone else. I can hands down say this was one of our best Rover experiences ever!! Joel and Janelle have a beautiful place with a large grassy fenced yard! They sent periodic incredible “action” pictures and our Goldens did not seemed stressed at all when we picked them up. We are looking forward to our stay with them early next month.”

“We took Finn over to Arlene’s for the first time yesterday to spend the day (after our meet and greet a couple of weeks prior). We picked him up from Arlene and she told me that I t took a little time (an hour) to get him to settle down, but after that he had a full day of play with the other 2 dogs that were there. From looking at the photos, I could tell Finn had the most enjoyable day! (He’s an only dog.) We plan on going out of town and I’m so happy to find someone that we feel comfortable leaving him with. About: I have decades of experience with both cats and dogs! I have a reactive/senior dog that I have had since he was a puppy. He also suffered from severe separation anxiety, that I had to help him with when we first got him. I rescued him from the Humane Society. I have had training with him, to help give him his best life. I have experience with both dogs and cats, from puppy/kitten to senior age and every age in between. I do have basic pet training skills, including leash training, as well. I also can administer oral medication when needed for dogs. I have experience with dogs with special needs, such as, blindness and special dietary needs. I have experience with active/herding dogs as well. My senior dog Willow, was a boarder/lab. She recently crossed over the rainbow bridge. She was over 13. She was a very active girl. I also have 2 grand dogs. A 4 year old male Great Dane/hound and a 1 1/2 year old male Australian shepherd. I take care of them from time to time when my family needs me too. I also have several clients that I regularly take care of their pets while they’re either at work or away on vacation. I offer several types of services for your pets. I can do drop ins/potty breaks, walks/playtime or overnight stays when you’re away or on vacation. I love to hike with my two pups and they have two widely different paces, so I have alot of experience with different styles and activity levels. I am comfortable with any breed and size. About: My entire life has been surrounded by loving and taking care of animals, big and small! Majority of experiences comes from walking and feeding neighbors and family members’ dogs when they needed a second hand. I am a currently a full-time student athlete at a college nearby finishing up my last few semesters. My busiest times in my schedule is the mid mornings, but on average free and available right at noon through the evening. I personally have had family dogs in the house, with currently two dogs that are medium sized. I love going on walks, even runs, with both of them when I am back at home. About: Hi! I’m a huge animal lover, and spending time with pets is something I genuinely enjoy. Whether it’s going for a walk, playing, or simply keeping your pet company, I love making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. I have over six years of experience caring for dogs and homes for friends and family. I also have some experience working with dogs who have anxiety or separation anxiety, and I’m happy to provide patient, compassionate care to help them feel comfortable. While I’m not experienced with aggressive dogs, I’m committed to creating a positive experience for pets that are a good fit for my skill set. I currently offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I have two Boxers of my own, so I’m comfortable caring for large dogs and understand the exercise and attention they need. In addition to dogs, I love cats! I previously worked for about 2½ years at a cat café partnered with a local rescue organization, where I cared for cats every day, including administering basic medical care, monitoring their health, and meeting their daily needs. This experience has made me confident caring for cats of all personalities. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family members! “We recently moved to NOVA from Midlothian and had to find a new Rover Ally to watch our 2 sweet Goldens- We used someone who lived in the same town and it did not go well at all so we were very nervous about leaving them again with anyone else. I can hands down say this was one of our best Rover experiences ever!! Joel and Janelle have a beautiful place with a large grassy fenced yard! They sent periodic incredible “action” pictures and our Goldens did not seemed stressed at all when we picked them up. We are looking forward to our stay with them early next month.”

About: I have had a animal all of my life and find myself drawn to them at any given moment. They bring me so much joy, because they have no cares of the troubles of the world today. Oral medication given, daily exercising. I am an animal lover, I have had some sort of animal all my life ie; fish, birds, dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs. My kids are all adults now and thought it would be a good idea to care for your fur baby as a temporary companion. I will stick to whatever rules an guidelines you may have for your pet. I can care for your pet weekends and weeknights. I work well with my clients request and routines. I live in a single family home on a corner lot with mountain views. I can't wait to provide comfort, trust and safety for your pet while you are away. I am open to last minute request, I know emergencies happen; and have flexible drop off and pick ups. “Jessica was wonderful, I’m not sure my poodle missed me at all. She sent me regular updates, pictures and videos. Sometimes he was happily lap sitting. Sometimes she videoed him playing with toys her dog or interacting with her family. I was gone 10 days. I was happy to see him doing so well. He is a picky eater so I had sent cubed up chicken breast to mix with his food. When she ran out she cooked him another, which was going way above what I expected. I would definitely take my dog to Jessica again.”

About: Ive taken care of and owned dogs for 20+yrs. I have alot of love to give an will love yours like they are my own. I am currently off for summer break and am available all days and hours.
