I broke my tibia and fibula back in July and it’s been hard handling an 100+ pound German Shepherd so I was nervous about leaving him with other people, but I was so wrong. “We needed care for our almost 13 year old quirky dog, Lucy for a week while we traveled to Michigan to be with my mom while she had major surgery/recovery. I found Debbie on Rover and contacted her regarding boarding Lucy while we were gone. On the phone, I immediately felt comfortable with Debbie. We chatted for 15-20 minutes and I told her all of Lucy's "quirks." She invited us over for a meet and greet right away to ensure Lucy (and us) felt comfortable. Our Lucy has been recovering from a leg injury and also has been a VERY picky eater. Therefore we needed someone that would be very patient with her. Debbie and her family were amazing. Debbie and her husband were able to get Lucy to eat regularly and also take her vitamins! This has been a feat for us let me tell you! They even taught me a couple tricks to get Lucy to eat her vitamins! And since Lucy has come home, she has been so much better with her eating and her leg as well! I couldn’t be more happy ? We received updates every single day...and Debbie took so many beautiful photos of Lucy. She really has a talent for photography! I never had to worry for a minute about Lucy. She was spoiled rotten by Debbie and her family. We cannot express how grateful we are to have found Debbie and her family.”

About: I’ve taken care of anywhere from dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, chickens of all ages throughout my whole life. I have a passion for making sure animals are happy and well taken care of with a calm demeanor. I am available Monday-Friday during work hours and may have some flexibility outside that as well. Saturdays and Sundays some availability depending on the weekend or need. In other clients homes I will make sure to learn every space to become familiar with where the animal(s) are most comfortable. I will also utilize leashes and/or any other equipment necessary.

About: I've grown up with dogs and cats. Growing up, my family had Dalmatians, which probably began my love for large dogs. I currently have two rescue, pitty-mixes. I love the playful energy and am understanding that different dogs have different needs. My dog, Bear, is always getting into something, so I've become pretty good with first-aid! I am a very organized person and have dealt with medications given at particular times. I'd rather be overly cautious than not cautious enough! I have a senior cat that I rescued in 2010. She runs the house and that's ok by me! I love snuggling with dogs and cats alike and giving them all the attention. My education background is a Masters in Secondary Education, with a concentration in Biology, and a bachelor's degree in psychology. I'm totally OK with spending the night with your pets if needed. My husband can watch our crazy boys and cat :) I used to teach middle school science when I lived in Maryland but now I'm a stay-at-home mom in Illinois! I totally understand how much we love our fur babies and will treat them like I'd treat my own. Again, I'd rather be overly cautious than not enough! With our previous dogs we boarded at kennels but felt the need to try something different with a puppy that spent most of her life at a shelter. Our dogs would be wiped out when they came back home. About: I’ve grown up with dogs, and even bought a dog of my own 3 years ago and he’s the best ever! He’s super friendly with other dogs and plays well with others. I usually take him on walks mornings, midday, and evening time and in the summer I only give him a walk in the evening because he’s a Husky and it gets too hot for him during the day. Evenings are best time for him. I try to take him to the dog park at least a couple times a week, so you can count on your pup having some one on one time with another pup and having LOTS of fun. I have walked dogs for family/family friends since I was 14. I’ve dog sat too and fed and bathe them. I am a stay at home mother of two beautiful children (3yrs, and 8months) and I take them along on walks too. They love dogs! I am available during the week at any time! About: I am an animal lover, through and through. Dogs, cats, hedgehogs, birds… you name it. I treat my guest animals like my own and love on them as much as possible. I enjoy taking cute portraits of the pets in my care and I send lots of photos and written updates. I currently have a female Aussie/Pit mix, currently fostering a female Blue Doberman, and have had Doberman Pinschers in the past from puppies through old age until the rainbow bridge. I’m patient with puppies and elderly animals. I check to see which commands they know and how they have been trained to keep them consistent in my care, and have experience administering medications to them. Before joining Rover, I frequently dog and cat sat for friends and family. I am currently fully remote and based at home. I have a lot of flexibility to accommodate your pet’s schedule and needs. My schedule may change in the future but I will update my info when that happens. I have one female 7 year old Aussie/Pit Mix and occasionally foster Dobermans through Illinois Doberman Rescue Plus. I have a spare bedroom to host guest animals with any bedding and belongings but during the day they are with me, within line of sight in my home. My yard is fenced (4ft) and only two steps to the yard from the door. There are no children living in my home. I live is a quiet neighborhood and can go for walks as needed.

About: Since the day I was born, I have lived in a home with numerous types of pets. I have had puppies since the day they came home at eight weeks old, and I have been there to hold their hand when they had left this earth; not only have I seen all stages of life, I have helped take care of them until they are very last breath. About: I have had dogs and cats in my home since i was born. I currently live with roommates who have two dogs, and I am the one they rely on when both are gone or away for long periods of time. I work full time, I work mornings mostly and occasional afternoons but they are only about 4 hours. I am able to come in before mornings but I work at 6:30 am. other than that I can stop by anytime I am not working I take dogs out often, and love to play with them. I also enjoy playing with cats and will always make sure they have fresh litter.

Friends, family, and neighbors have relied on me to check in, feed, walk, and spend time with their pets while they’re at work or away on vacation. I’m a mom of two who works from home, which allows me to have a flexible and reliable schedule. I’m available for pet care between 8:00am–2:30pm and again from 4:00pm–8:00pm most days. Because I’m home based, I’m able to consistently show up on time, provide dependable care, and give your pets the attention they need during the day while you’re at work or away. I understand how important it is to trust someone in your home and with your pets. I always treat any pet with respect, care, and attention to detail. I follow all instructions closely, keep doors secured, and make sure your pet stays safe and comfortable at all times. I’m very attentive to each pet’s behavior and needs, whether that means giving them space or extra attention. I also provide updates so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for just like they would with you 🫶🏻

About: I have been caring for all sorts of critters since I was very young. From pet sitting neighbors cats at age 7, to my first job at a pet store caring for all sorts of animals, and finally the last 13 years in veterinary medicine. I am well rounded in ANIMALS! I grew up with Sophie my paralyzed Dachshund that I helped my parents care for including expressing her bladder. I have cared for reptiles, small animals, birds, dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and would love to care for any farm/barnyard animals. We currently have Mac our pitbull/boxer mix, Oak our Australian cattle mix, Stitch our box tortoise and our chicken ladies. I can also offer nail trim and anal gland expression services if needed. I currently only work part time so I have a wide variety of hours to offer care. My mornings start with animal care and my nights end with animal care. I have a variety of dog/cat beds, big and small, all cozy of course. I have multiple different sizes and styles of crates if your dog is crate trained. We have a 3 acre lot that has a fenced pasture. We are in a court so I have the ability to also leash walk around the neighborhood if requested. My dogs are friendly and love visitors. I have a small animal cage that used to be for our ratties and can be used for a small animal/exotic pet.
About: I’ve taken care of anywhere from dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, chickens of all ages throughout my whole life. I have a passion for making sure animals are happy and well taken care of with a calm demeanor. I am available Monday-Friday during work hours and may have some flexibility outside that as well. Saturdays and Sundays some availability depending on the weekend or need. In other clients homes I will make sure to learn every space to become familiar with where the animal(s) are most comfortable. I will also utilize leashes and/or any other equipment necessary.
About: I’ve had pets especially dogs all my life. I’ve taken care of other dog for two weeks. I’m currently having two cats living with us. Pets are best thing to have! I’m currently working on call as substitute teacher. So I’d thought I could work on days I’m available to look after pets, dogs or cats. Take dogs for walk and feeding if need to. I have a backyard but not fenced. But take walk if need. Play with ball or toys. Giving lots of cuddles. Important making them feel comfortable and safe.
About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and cats as well. I’m a huge animal lover! I’ve had golden retrievers, pit bulls, Rottweilers, and a mini golden doodle. We currently have a 3 month old Golden Retriever! I’m currently a Stay at Home Mom to a 20 Month old little boy and a 7 month old Golden Retriever! So I’m available all the time! My son is a huge animal lover already and will be joining me on check ins and walks so please keep that in mind! Your pets safety is my first priority. They will get plenty of love and play time from myself and my son! You’re pet will be treated as if they’re my own!

About: Dogs have always been a part of my life. I grew up with dogs and now enjoy my own dog and watching my kiddos create their own memories with our dog Jack. About: I've grown up with dogs and cats. Growing up, my family had Dalmatians, which probably began my love for large dogs. I currently have two rescue, pitty-mixes. I love the playful energy and am understanding that different dogs have different needs. My dog, Bear, is always getting into something, so I've become pretty good with first-aid! I am a very organized person and have dealt with medications given at particular times. I'd rather be overly cautious than not cautious enough! I have a senior cat that I rescued in 2010. She runs the house and that's ok by me! I love snuggling with dogs and cats alike and giving them all the attention. My education background is a Masters in Secondary Education, with a concentration in Biology, and a bachelor's degree in psychology. I'm totally OK with spending the night with your pets if needed. My husband can watch our crazy boys and cat :) I used to teach middle school science when I lived in Maryland but now I'm a stay-at-home mom in Illinois! Just let me know when you are needed and I'll make it work! I am a very organized, clean and tidy person. I totally understand how much we love our fur babies and will treat them like I'd treat my own. Again, I'd rather be overly cautious than not enough! Our babies can't voice for themselves so it is important to always advocate for them and do what is in their best interest!
About: I've taken care of pets from as earliest as birth and into their elderly years, since I was 8. My family would occasionally breed our American Akitas. I've trained them, bathed them, cleaned up after them, and administered medications. They are a ton of work, but always worth the effort when we saw them finally meet their forever homes. I am available for whatever service you need, except for boarding, most days of the week except Thursdays after 2 pm, Fridays, and Saturdays before 2 pm. I am unable to care for your pet at my residence. We have 5 dogs here currently and I wouldn't want to overwhelm your pet with so many new faces. I am more than willing to be as accommodating as needed to care for them in your home, walking them, or simply letting out for a potty break.

“We needed care for our almost 13 year old quirky dog, Lucy for a week while we traveled to Michigan to be with my mom while she had major surgery/recovery. I found Debbie on Rover and contacted her regarding boarding Lucy while we were gone. On the phone, I immediately felt comfortable with Debbie. We chatted for 15-20 minutes and I told her all of Lucy's "quirks." She invited us over for a meet and greet right away to ensure Lucy (and us) felt comfortable. Our Lucy has been recovering from a leg injury and also has been a VERY picky eater. Therefore we needed someone that would be very patient with her. Debbie and her family were amazing. Debbie and her husband were able to get Lucy to eat regularly and also take her vitamins! This has been a feat for us let me tell you! They even taught me a couple tricks to get Lucy to eat her vitamins! And since Lucy has come home, she has been so much better with her eating and her leg as well! I couldn’t be more happy ? We received updates every single day...and Debbie took so many beautiful photos of Lucy. She really has a talent for photography! I never had to worry for a minute about Lucy. She was spoiled rotten by Debbie and her family. We cannot express how grateful we are to have found Debbie and her family.”
