My older cat is a diabetic with severe skin issues requiring multiple medications on an alternating schedule in addition to her twice a day insulin. She did a good job asking questions and making sure Kitten got the medications she needed on the correct schedule. She successfully gave both oral and injection medication and Kitten was in great shape when I got back (which is not always the case after a vacation due to her detailed care needs). There were some minor things that came up but those were mostly me being very particular about some specifics and in the end, were not that important and didn't affect the care of the cats. The house was clean and the cat food and litter box trash taken out, which I appreciated.”

It is the first time I returned home from a trip and did not get a two hour lecture of complaints from Lilly about how she was abandoned and left to starve with no company (which was not the case - she just did NOT like her caretaker). About: I work from home and can watch your fur-baby all day! I have 1 dog and 1 cat, both of whom are accustomed to sharing their home. My home is mostly open-concept, which means lots of space for indoor play when it's too hot, cold, or rainy to be outside. The yard is large and open. My husband and I both volunteered the the SPCA of Texas when we lived in Dallas, where we were trained as animal behaviorists focused on enrichment activities for dogs and helping rescues learn basic commands to get ready to live in a family setting. We're both passionate about balancing play with training, which means we try to spend some time each day training our dog (and yours!) with both verbal commands and hand signals. If there's any commands in particular you and your pup are working on, just let us know and we'll keep the training going while we take care of your pup! Adrienne works from home and is there all the time, so pet care is a persistent thing. On nice days, she works from the sunroom, and both our animals are usually found on the couches in there with her, happily basking in the sun. In the evenings and on weekends, the whole family is home and plays together, including the pets. We go outside for fun as often as the weather allows. We have a dog who will be more than happy to keep your pup company, and with Adrienne working from home full time, someone is always around to ensure a safe and fun environment where everyone is getting along. There's also plenty of space to separate pets in case a little independent time is needed.

About: I volunteer at a dog shelter that deals with all ages and comfortably around new people. This allows me to pick up on dogs needs and adjust accordingly. I am currently working full time 4 days a week. This allows me a more flexible schedule to help take care of dogs through the week and weekends. I have experience with dogs that bolt when doors are opened outside and know how to block them properly. When helping with potting breaks they can be play breaks to get rid of excess energy. I also own three of my own fur babies -- a Pittie mix (Matilda), Chorkie (Evie), and a Terrier Mix (Frank) I've cared for many different dogs, from a tiny Pom to a larger Hound! Depending on the weather, and if I have to be gone for 3-4 hours, my dog gets to go to the dog park for more exercise later that afternoon. I will always make sure your pet has fresh water, good exercise, and enough potty time too. Making sure your pet is taken care of & feels loved while you’re away will be my priority!
