About: I’ve had dogs all my life. I love to walk and play with them and also have snuggle time if they like that. My schedule is flexible to accommodate their needs! I have not done injections but am willing to do if trained I’m retired so I have plenty of time to care for your pet in my home or come to your home for check-ins and walks. I have a fenced yard and am close to a local state park for long walks. I also live in a very walkable subdivision. I don’t mind a well behaved pet on furniture.
About: Hello! My family and I love animals. We've been on Rover since January 2024! We currently have 2 indor cats and have backyard chickens (in coop) that are pets and lay eggs for us. We live in a quiet Hartland neighborhood in a cul-de-sac that is very low traffic. Part of our yard is fenced for play and potty breaks, and I love taking walks around our neighborhood. The majority of the week, my husband is working from home or I am home. The longest your pet may be left is 6 hours if staying with us during the work week. So usually someone is there to spend time with your pet! We are available any day of the week for boarding. I live in a quiet cul-de-sac. I always practice sit-stay when opening the door to prevent bolting out. Part of our yard is fenced and outside the fence your pet will always be leashed. If I am away for a short period and it's needed for safety or per your preference, we do have a large crate and an enclosed pet gate.
About: I have always had a dog growing up, so I learned from a very young age how to care for a pet. Friends and family have trusted me to take care of their dogs since I was around 12 years old. This includes stopping in the house to take them to the bathroom and feeding them, as well as giving medication if needed. Lots of snuggles and playtime too of course! I have taken care of dogs in the client's home for up to a week and cared for them at my home as well. No need to worry about any complex feeding schedules. I can manage it all. I am very comfortable with any age, breed, and sized dog! I have a one-year-old pup, so I am very familiar with training and puppy classes. I have volunteered at the humane society and when I was in high school, I job shadowed at a veterinary clinic. I currently work as a substitute teacher so my schedule is extremely flexible! During the summer months I am completely open. Weekdays and weekends any time of day. I make my own schedule so there will be no conflicts. I have a fenced in backyard with plenty of space for some off leash playtime! My dog loves to run around playing fetch with a ball or stick. I have a walking path across the street from my home and am walking distance to nature hill for some extra exercise. I always have water, waste bags and small treats with me when going on walks. (My dogs personal favorites are cheerios). I am comfortable walking with any leash, collar or harness. I have two kennels in my living room if your dog needs to be crated. At least one crate is big enough to fit a large or XL dog. I have a baby gate in front of my stairs, and the basement door is always shut. I personally love going to the pet store or drive thru to get my pet a pup cup! I would be more than happy to take your dog for an adventure and for some extra love and enrichment!

With that being said, if you need some help with your fur baby, I’m your girl! Whether it be dropping in to make sure there’s fresh clean water and food, changing a litter box or going outside to go potty and for a nice walk or playtime, I’m here to help. I am pretty flexible and have my own business so we can chat if there are specific days and times needed for your fur baby. I was raised to always have manners and etiquette. Saying please and thank you, taking shoes off before entering the house and holding doors for elder has been second nature since, so out of respect, you can expect nothing less than removing my shoes when entering your home and ensuring all the tasks needed will be completed.. If a quick text when entering and leaving is needed, I’m more than happy to do so , along with confirmation pix. “Mikaela and Shane are AMAZING!!!! They took such great care of our Maisy while we were away for 5 nights!! Communication was great and prompt, our meet and greet went great and they knew we were a little nervous leaving our girl with a new family so they sent pictures and updates daily that really helped ease my worried mama mind. Maisy warmed up fast and we had no issues at all! Will definitely be using them again for our future dog sitting needs! Thanks so much Mikaela and Shane!!!”

“I am so thankful for Joanne and the wonderful care she provided for our 16 yo pup, Ginger! Grateful for the wonderful home environment she welcomed Ginger into while we were gone. Appreciate that she works from home allowing her to be more available to tend to pups’ needs. Joanne kept in touch with us by sending occasional updates and pictures giving us peace of mind the entire trip. Thankful she was able to be flexible when we encountered travel related issues.
