Communication was amazing from start to finish, and she was so flexible when our flights changed, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. She even sent pictures without us asking which we absolutely loved and really appreciated. Her kids and mother were incredibly kind and Riley also got along so well with their dog, Annalise. Riley isn’t around other dogs very often, so I was a little nervous, but they did great together and it made me so happy to hear how well she adjusted. Honestly, the whole experience felt so comfortable… like I’ve known them for a long time. That says a lot when you’re trusting someone with your dog. About: Grew up an animal lover with multiple dogs and cats over the course of my life. Long story short, I have experience with puppy life, shelter life, low energy, high energy, etc. I just love animals and look forward to taking care of yours I work full time as a school counselor but understand what it takes to be a healthy dog owner. This means a walk in the morning before I leave, a walk when I get home after work, and depending on a lot of other factors maybe one late maybe not. On weekends I'm a a homebody which is why I signed up for this. I will get out of the house to walk my girl or take her on an adventure to the dog park, trail walk, etc. Otherwise I like just hanging out and playing video games. My girl has a crate in the family room but I also repurposed a spare bedroom into a doggy friendly room. I wasn't using it for any reason so figured why not make it dog friendly for my girl and others. I also have a fenced in yard that I can easily let her and other dogs out. It is big enough to be able to throw a ball around as well.
About: Cats have been my companion all my life.. a home is not a home without the pitter patter of little paws. Currently, my fur baby Millie is my only pet but have experience with dog and cat households. I know their needs and can establish a bond with cats easily. And I also know when they need space and just someone to be company without adding to their stress.

About: Grew up taking care of animals — have always had dogs (big and small, puppy to adult) and grew up around a farm, so I am comfortable around different animals. I am familiar with their needs, behavioral queues, and differences. I work from home most days, so I could easily work from the hosts home, or host the dog with me (shorter periods of time). The dog can free roam in my apartment, there is no issues with furniture. I have enough space to play with them inside, and work flexibility to give frequent walks. I live in an apartment with a fenced in backyard. Other neighbors have dogs and regularly let them sniff around back there with no issue, though I would not leave the dog unattended back there and would opt for regular walks.
About: Primarily had two wonderful cats. The first is Ghost who I raised from when she was abandoned and the size of my hand until she passed away at age 19-1/2. The second is Harmony which we adopted and raised from age 3-ish to 18-ish. From time to time I have checked in on friends cats while they are out for basic feeding/kitty litter things, along with some socialization/cuddle time. We have two+ dogs at any time and haven't had cats in a few years, so care would only be at your home just to keep things good for my household.

About: I have grown up with Golden Retrievers my whole life as my dad hunted with them and trained them for Field trials. We always had three in our home. Once we even had a litter of puppies and there is nothing better than puppy kisses. I personally have had two Black labs, one that was so content to lounge and be a couch potato and my current lab at 8 years old fools everyone into thinking she is 2 or 3 with how active she is. Because of her I understand the importance of walks and her needing lots of exercise, new sights and smells. I have a flexible work schedule and typically only work 3 days a week so I can be there to ensure your pup gets what they need. My dog has been consistently going going there for a year and as a young doctor working up to 28 hours in a row, I would not be able to have managed without them! They are very flexible and truly do love working with dogs. Recently, my dog got very mambas colitis and needed to go to the vet twice. Initially I wasn’t able to take too much time off but thankfully Mike was there. He offered to even cook Whiskey boiled chicken and rice and even offered to come to the vet with us the second time because he was genuinely concerned as well. I have a very anxious dog, but have been able to leave him while on vacation and not worry because I was getting constant updates- both good and bad about how he was doing, how much he was barking, how he was pooping, etc. it helped me enjoy my vacation more. About: I've had multiple dogs over the last 30 years. Mainly Bull Mastiffs, Border Collie Mix, and multiple Pitties. We lately have been adopting older dogs to give them the best end of life possible. For friends I've watched many smaller to larger dogs, comfortable with all. I have experience with all sorts of meds and care, although I prefer to stay away from anything with needles when possible. We've been to the vet more times than I can count, and have gotten good at understanding/reading dog behavior and signs of distress. I have experience with all soft of personalities...shy or alpha, lazy or rambunctious, etc. I like to understand them and work with them where they are at so they enjoy themselves and are happy. I'm a pretty calm presence and in general dogs trust me right away. My wife will joke that I am a dog whisperer as dogs tend to follow my lead easily, but I think it is simply being confident and projecting that you are there to take care of them. I have a very flexible work schedule and am home most of the time. I only have 1 dog right now (Oscar, 82 lb Pitty who loves everything and everyone...he walks around with soft toys like they are his dolls), but will likely be back to 2 in the near future. I walk my pup(s) pretty much every day. We live near Hart Park and the Oak Leaf Trail so getting out to walk along the river/parks is very easy. New to doing this formally rather than just for friends. Normally watch friends dogs at their place. If we take care of your pup in our home, we will always have 1+ pups that will be other-dog friendly. My wife and I have a small Tosa home but fully fenced-in yard to be able to let them out at any time day or night without worry. We have a small main floor but it has 3-4 dog beds and multiple toys (prefer dogs who are ok with soft toys, as our pup(s) don't rip those up. Will likely prefer caring for your pup in your home, it simply mitigates the crowding in the house and any potential conflicts. If I look after any cats, those would be at your house. We no longer have cats and aren't prepped for that in any way.

I like when pet owners bring a bed for their pets so I can make them their own space but they’re welcome to chill with me in whatever I’m doing. I’m youthful, active, and responsible. I have a naturally friendly, calm demeanor that animals and people respond well to. I have no pets right now but used to have a pit/black lab mix that I loved dearly so I love pits and other breeds with historically bad reputations. I frequently sit my aunt’s beagle mix who’s just a little old pup that sparked my interest for pet sitting cuz it was so fun to have visits from him. He and my old dog are in a bunch of my pics. With all animals I just try to make them comfortable and let them feel at home.

About: Grew up taking care of animals — have always had dogs (big and small, puppy to adult) and grew up around a farm, so I am comfortable around different animals. I am familiar with their needs, behavioral queues, and differences. I work from home most days, so I could easily work from the hosts home, or host the dog with me (shorter periods of time). The dog can free roam in my apartment, there is no issues with furniture. I have enough space to play with them inside, and work flexibility to give frequent walks. I live in an apartment with a fenced in backyard. Other neighbors have dogs and regularly let them sniff around back there with no issue, though I would not leave the dog unattended back there and would opt for regular walks.

About: I have experience caring for a variety of animals of different ages, sizes, and temperaments. I am comfortable with post-op care and administering medications. I will care for your pets as if they are my own! I am available most mornings (before 6 am), evenings (6-9 pm), Fridays, and weekends! I am interested in taking dogs for walks, drop-in visits for dogs and cats, and overnight stays to care for pets in their homes. About: I would squeal when I saw my dog every morning. It made him so happy to see me, he'd pee! That's how much I love them and they love me! I've taken care of dogs for most of my life, even through some pretty serious health issues. I had to leave our family pets at home in Wisconsin when I came to California for college. Playing with your pets and taking great care of them will help fill a void in my heart. Life is just better with dogs in it! I am a college student and kept my schedule open to have time for a part-time job. I am available during the week and weekends and can be flexible depending on your needs. I know how important it is to exercise dogs, especially big ones, so if they need exercise, I'm super active and would love to go for walks or play fetch. If rest and snuggles is what your pet needs, I'd love to do that, too. And I'll make sure to clean up any messes they make when I'm with them.
About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life and love them so much that I decided to work at a Dog and Cat daycare and boarding facility. I’ve been working there for 3 years and have worked with all breeds and ages varying from puppies to seniors and love comforting them and making them happy while also making sure their parents know they are in good hands! I’m currently working part-time and my availability is flexible. I’m willing to make adjustments as long as I am notified at least 2-3 weeks in advance. Depending on the typical routine of the pet, I will follow it as close as possible to make them feel as comfortable as I can. I will keep them busy by going on walks or by playing with them, or if they have lower energy I’ll just make sure to give them extra attention.
