My orange cat is exactly as you’d expect… rambunctious and incredibly cuddly. Luka the black cat however, is very stand-offish and loves her space. About: Grew up an animal lover with multiple dogs and cats over the course of my life. Long story short, I have experience with puppy life, shelter life, low energy, high energy, etc. I just love animals and look forward to taking care of yours I work full time as a school counselor but understand what it takes to be a healthy dog owner. This means a walk in the morning before I leave, a walk when I get home after work, and depending on a lot of other factors maybe one late maybe not. On weekends I'm a a homebody which is why I signed up for this. I will get out of the house to walk my girl or take her on an adventure to the dog park, trail walk, etc. Otherwise I like just hanging out and playing video games. My girl has a crate in the family room but I also repurposed a spare bedroom into a doggy friendly room. I wasn't using it for any reason so figured why not make it dog friendly for my girl and others. I also have a fenced in yard that I can easily let her and other dogs out. It is big enough to be able to throw a ball around as well.
About: Cats have been my companion all my life.. a home is not a home without the pitter patter of little paws. I’ve been working there for 3 years and have worked with all breeds and ages varying from puppies to seniors and love comforting them and making them happy while also making sure their parents know they are in good hands! I’m currently working part-time and my availability is flexible. I’m willing to make adjustments as long as I am notified at least 2-3 weeks in advance. Depending on the typical routine of the pet, I will follow it as close as possible to make them feel as comfortable as I can. But Chelsea made sure they did their business in a caring way...she even carried my older dog for a portion of the way because one of her paws was hurting, likely from the salt/ice-melt. About: I started off taking care of small animals, but then became trained as a kennel attendant and enrichment specialist in my growing career in animal care.
