The stay was arranged for 5 days (I ended up coming back a day early and was able to pick him up early). Zachary provided updates early in the stay to let me know how my dog was settling in. Zachary was very responsive to my messages and was quick to reply. If you have a dog with separation anxiety (like mine), it was great that he lives in a house, so there were no wall neighbors (such as apartments) to worry about with any barking. If I find myself traveling for a few days again, I will definitely reach out to see if Zachary is available to watch my dog!”

About: I am currently a foster parent for the Humane Society and have grown up with dogs all my life. I have crate and potty trained several puppies and worked with older dogs on behavioral needs. I am off of work in summer and have availability to spend time with pets! I can take dogs for a walk or just play with them. I’m used to caring for my foster animals throughout the day. I have a medium sized crate in my apartment, along with a park and trails right across the street! There are plenty of nice walks and a fenced in pet park nearby.

I have confident experience with reactive dogs and big breeds especially. I'm a part time barista, working mostly evenings, so morning and mid-day walks work best for me. I am available for night walks after work as well, if that works for your schedule. Weekend boarding is best with advance notice, as I occasionally pick up Friday and Saturday shifts at the coffee shop. I live on the second floor with access to a fenced in backyard. Hardwood floors in home. No kids or other pets of my own. I do have houseplants if your dog is sensitive to soils, fungus, or has a history of plant eating. Crating is an option I'm comfortable with if that's what helps your furry friend feel safe, though my ideal set up is to share my whole space and enriching lifestyle with your pup, or to visit them in their home where they're already comfortable. I'm mobile with the Jeep as well, so we don't have to stick to my neighborhood if your dog is reactive and needs some extra space.

I am home all day working and am available for frequent potty breaks or walks. I am very active as well and don’t mind longer walks with active dogs. I am available for walks or visits in a home. I’m also available for day care with my wonderful cockapoo - Johnny, who loves all animals. Open to bed cuddles if needed!
