Communication was amazing from start to finish, and she was so flexible when our flights changed, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. She even sent pictures without us asking which we absolutely loved and really appreciated. Her kids and mother were incredibly kind and Riley also got along so well with their dog, Annalise. Riley isn’t around other dogs very often, so I was a little nervous, but they did great together and it made me so happy to hear how well she adjusted. Honestly, the whole experience felt so comfortable… like I’ve known them for a long time. That says a lot when you’re trusting someone with your dog. About: Grew up an animal lover with multiple dogs and cats over the course of my life. Long story short, I have experience with puppy life, shelter life, low energy, high energy, etc. I just love animals and look forward to taking care of yours I work full time as a school counselor but understand what it takes to be a healthy dog owner. This means a walk in the morning before I leave, a walk when I get home after work, and depending on a lot of other factors maybe one late maybe not. On weekends I'm a a homebody which is why I signed up for this. I will get out of the house to walk my girl or take her on an adventure to the dog park, trail walk, etc. Otherwise I like just hanging out and playing video games. My girl has a crate in the family room but I also repurposed a spare bedroom into a doggy friendly room. I wasn't using it for any reason so figured why not make it dog friendly for my girl and others. I also have a fenced in yard that I can easily let her and other dogs out. About: I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life and love them so much that I decided to work at a Dog and Cat daycare and boarding facility. I’ve been working there for 2 years and have worked with all breeds and ages varying from puppies to seniors and love comforting them and making them happy while also making sure their parents know they are in good hands! I’m currently working part-time and my availability is flexible. I’m willing to make adjustments as long as I am notified at least 2-3 weeks in advance. Depending on the typical routine of the pet, I will follow it as close as possible to make them feel as comfortable as I can. This is not a business for me, it’s something I have enjoyed doing for my family and friends, and if you want your beloved pet to be in a calm but fun, comfortable environment while you’re away, I can extend my service to you. I recently started doing home stays/drop ins for the pet sitting too and enjoyed it. I currently have a really flexible schedule with a lot of availability. I live with my dad that occasionally says hi if the dog or cat is friendly but mostly the house is big enough that they never cross paths. I have a fenced in yard and a big house with a lot of space that I can also section off by closing doors. I typically take the animals out several times a day, feed them, and let them roam around the house or snuggle with me. I like when pet owners bring a bed for their pets so I can make them their own space but they’re welcome to chill with me in whatever I’m doing. I’m youthful, active, and responsible. I have a naturally friendly, calm demeanor that animals and people respond well to. I have no pets right now but used to have a pit/black lab mix that I loved dearly so I love pits and other breeds with historically bad reputations. I frequently sit my aunt’s beagle mix who’s just a little old pup that sparked my interest for pet sitting cuz it was so fun to have visits from him. He and my old dog are in a bunch of my pics. With all animals I just try to make them comfortable and let them feel at home.

Yolanda's patience, kindness, and experience brought me relief knowing that my dog was in great hands. She did everything possible to calm my anxiety-ridden fur baby and made him comfortable; kept me updated and was responsive; sent me photos; and was very easy/flexible to work with. By the end of the week, Gizmo was playing with other dogs and taking long walks twice a day, which he never does! He's been home for almost 24 hours and I can tell he misses Yolanda, but mostly, he's been sleeping like a baby. LOL. I couldn't thank Yolanda and her family enough. I finally found someone who was willing to take in my dog and refused to give up on him even when times were hard. I highly recommend her services! Usually after boarding in a facility, my dog is highly anxious, extra agitated and disheveled. None of that here with Sarah. Her and her family were truly the best sitters.
