Currently I own cattle dogs- an Aussie named Marley and Heeler/Collie mix named Sadie. They are 4, I trained them myself & they are extremely well behaved and socialized. I offer boarding, day care, dog walking, and can bathe your pup before returning them home to you. I can also pick up and drop off when needed. I can also house sit and pup sit if that is your need/comfortability as well. I am up for & encourage meet & greets before bookings if you would like to meet myself, the pups and/or see the house and our setup before hand! I work during the normal school year as a nursing instructor. I am off during the summer and am home FULL TIME to dedicate ALL of my time & attention to the fur babies! I promise your baby will be tuckered out, loved on and well fed (to your instructions of course!) Boarding at my home: safety is my top priority with animal to animal interaction and human to animal interaction. If pups need more alone time/privacy, they can be housed separately from my dogs at all times as we have multiple access points from our home to our fenced in yard and gate sectioning in our house. I do walks daily with them and am outside with them as well for the majority of the day. Our fenced in yard has a dog pool and I have BUCKETS of toys for them to play with! If your pup leans toward the spicier side & is more protective when it comes to their toys, food, or water please let me know and separation accommodations can be made, no problem. All breeds are different and each pup is different. I can also give medications topically, orally, injections etc. I can provide hourly updates through text, video call, phone calls, whatever you would like! At minimum I send a daily update. In your home: as a nurse, safety is always my top priority. I am also extremely clean and organized. I can maintain your daily routine with your pup so they don’t miss much while you are away. Again, meet and greets I encourage so you and especially your pup are comfortable meeting me and being in your home. I’ll be their make-shift auntie while you are away! I was traveling constantly for work, but am now full time work from home. When I lived in another state for work, I did pet care as a part time job with private clients weekly. I grew to absolutely love it and would love to get established back in Wisconsin. I grew up with dogs, cats, and cows my entire life - being raised on a farm. I am the type of person who can’t stop without petting a dog whenever I see one! Providing companionship to your pet is my favorite thing to do. We can go on walks, eat food, and watch the latest Hulu show together! Your fur baby is welcome to sleep with me, on the floor, or in any bed or crate you bring. My two rescue cats absolutely LOVE other animals, so there is no worry there. They are so curious and eventually become besties! I do live in an apartment, BUT, I am right next to the walking trail in River Prairie (the loop). I would be more than happy to go on as many walks as needed, and enjoy some sunshine with your fur baby! So do not worry, they can be outside as much or little as you’d like. I am open to care of all animals, all sizes, and all ages. If wanted, I visit my family farm quite often where we have extensive yard and land to run on. It is 100% an option for me to take your pet there if you want them to have some extra smells, especially if they stay long term with me. I’m extremely flexible and want you to not have to worry! While I traveled full time for work in the past, constant updates on my animals back home was crucial to me. I will provide as much or little communication you’d like. Training dogs to sit, listen and be potty trained and things I have done with all 3 of my dogs. I have watched my family’s and friend’s dogs. About: I volunteered at an animal shelter for two and a half years. My family has had many pets and I was always their primary caretaker. Currently, I have had my dog for 8 years and my husband and I recently adopted our cat Buster together. I have also had experience with smaller animals like guinea pigs and rabbits. I currently work at a doggy daycare/boarding facility in the area, so I am certified with dog and cat behaviors and have seen the ups and downs of our fur babies, and I am still standing here happy to tell you all about their stay/session. I have also grown up with working farm dogs and have gone on to own a Great Pyrenees who isn’t quite a working dog but sure does “work” like one. Pet care for me starts at dawn lol My pups come for cuddles and a potty break first sight of my eyes opening. Most of the time this does align with my work schedule in the 6 am timeframe. I do work part time and in those morning shifts end roughly at 12-3 however my partner is typically home before me to let the pups outside. While I personally do not have a yard, my family does own large pasture fields and hills that we will typically walk daily. These colder seasons do affect how often we go out due to the snow and unplowed hills. However in that safe weather we make it a main priority to keep active with our pups to maintain a healthy and long life for them. Safety is priority number one. Thankfully my family is pretty much set up for success here. We are knowledgeable for food, behavior, and play safety with dogs and cats. Signs and symptoms of common issues with dogs and cats, based off personal experiences, and possible fears of what ifs, urinary cat blockages and bloat, or bloody stools. During the week, I’m flexible and able to adjust my schedule to match your pet’s needs — whether that’s multiple potty breaks for a puppy, midday walks, or keeping a senior pet comfortable and on their medication schedule. On weekends, I have even more time for longer adventures, extra snuggles, and attention. Your pet’s routine becomes my routine, so they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. We have a large yard and lots of walking trails nearby to take your dogs on walks. My kids LOVE all dogs and like to help care for them, giving them lots of attention and exercise.
