“This was my first time using Rover, so I was a little nervous but my overall experience was positive with AJ. We have a 1 year old mixed breed dog that is very playful and happy around pretty much everyone. We met in a park near AJ’s home and he was promptly on time and communicated well. I asked several questions about the plan for the day and everything seemed reasonable to me. For me personally I just wanted someone that would keep my dog active and happy for the afternoon, also sneak in the occasional nap is okay too. When the day was over we met in the park again and (on time) and my dog was happy to see me. Thumbs up!”
About: Since I was a young girl I've cared for cats and dogs in various settings. I've volunteered at humane societies, I've worked as a Vet Tech, was a supervisor at a daycare/boarding facility. I can administer insulin and other medications. Minor training experience in a professional setting. Can handle puppies to seniors. I will have plenty of time to devote to your pets, who really are our children. I am home a majority of the time with my own pets. About: I have always had pets in my home my whole life both dogs and cats I am more of a dog person but I absolutely love caring for all animals and I know how difficult it can be depending on the animal my parents most recent dog was a handful he was in and out of several homes before finding his way to ours because of he’s very energetic and sometimes violent behavior but we turned him to a sweetie with time and good training. At first he was rather aggressive towards me and was very difficult to train because of how long he had gone without training which taught me a lot of tricks to deal with a difficult and aggressive dog. I love this job and I hope your pet will enjoy my company as much as I’ll enjoy theirs. I have bathed dogs helped bathe a cat with flees and I’m down to learn anything if you’ll help show me. I do this full time so I am usually always free to offer the most reliable and consistent pet care experience for your pet and I’m always available unless I’m watching other pets. I took care of my yellow lab/retriever mix, Blue, for so many years; taking her on long walks, giving her baths, making sure she got along with our neighbor dogs. I also helped out taking care of my neighbor dogs from time to time. After my dog died at the age of 15, my family didn't think we would get another dog. 7 years ago, we got a new puppy, his name is Brooks, and he is a yellow lab. He is very different than our old dog. He has lots of energy, he has ran away a couple times but always came back or we found him, and we lived on 2 acres of land so that helped. He is our first inside dog, so he loves cuddles, treats, sleeping, playing catch and sneaking downstairs where he is not supposed to be. I have lots of experience with dogs and I appreciate and love them very much! I am currently working at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse, so I have the summer off. This summer I also work part-time at Festival. During the school year, I have Fridays off and I am done by 5:30pm the other days. On Mondays and Wednesdays I have slower mornings. I can help out throughout the day and on weekends. I live in an apartment building but there is an area with lots of grass and next to the building and around the area. My building doesn’t allow pets so I am not able to house pets at my place, but I can always talk to my landlord.
