About: My mom had rescue dogs and cats my entire childhood, and a few years ago, I adopted my kitty, Momo. Outside of my home, I occasionally help care for friends’ cats when they travel, which some times includes overnight stays, or some times just 2x a day check ins. I love playing or just chilling with cats. I’m happy to match a cat’s energy and play or not play however it seems to like. Unfortunately, I also have experience with caring for cats at end-of-life, as well as caring for cats experiencing illness. I’ve given antibiotics to my family cats and friends’ cats. My cat Momo is particularly difficult to give medicine to - unfortunately it really stresses him out, so I am very acclimated to cat scratches.

About: Hey there! I am an animal lover to the core. Let me be your pet's new best friend while you are away! I recently moved back to the Midwest to be closer to family, about two years ago. I was traveling constantly for work, but am now full time work from home. When I lived in another state for work, I did pet care as a part time job with private clients weekly. I grew to absolutely love it and would love to get established back in Wisconsin. I grew up with dogs, cats, and cows my entire life - being raised on a farm. I am the type of person who can’t stop without petting a dog whenever I see one! Providing companionship to your pet is my favorite thing to do. We can go on walks, eat food, and watch the latest Hulu show together! Your fur baby is welcome to sleep with me, on the floor, or in any bed or crate you bring. My two rescue cats absolutely LOVE other animals, so there is no worry there. They are so curious and eventually become besties! Since I am work from home full time now, so I am extremely flexible and they will have constant attention. I do live in an apartment, BUT, I am right next to the walking trail in River Prairie (the loop). I would be more than happy to go on as many walks as needed, and enjoy some sunshine with your fur baby! So do not worry, they can be outside as much or little as you’d like. I am open to care of all animals, all sizes, and all ages. If wanted, I visit my family farm quite often where we have extensive yard and land to run on. It is 100% an option for me to take your pet there if you want them to have some extra smells, especially if they stay long term with me. I’m extremely flexible and want you to not have to worry! While I traveled full time for work in the past, constant updates on my animals back home was crucial to me. I will provide as much or little communication you’d like. I’m here to meet you and your pet where you’d like and keep being away from them stress free. I promise they are in such caring hands! I work from home most days and go on daily walks myself! I would love to have a companion along with me to help make my place less lonely! During the weekends I can give even extra attention! I have access to the loop walk near River Prairie where i can take your pet for a potty break or for a walk! My parents are planning to retire here, which will be a big move, especially with so many animals, so when the time comes, I’ll be helping move their pets. After living in Eau Claire for a month or so, I house and pet sat for my cousin while she was working on a project out of town for a few months. I bonded with her German Shepherd, Lobo, through long walks and runs, and fell in love with her tiny cat Duchess. Later that winter, while I was still doing the long-term pet sit for my cousin, one of her friend’s rescued a cat who had been abandoned. Due to her living situation, she couldn’t take it in immediately, so Lobo and Duchess had Zia as a guest living with us for a month or so. Beyond helping out my family, I have friends whose animals I help care for on occasion too. One friend reaches out when she needs to go out of town, and I will do check ups or come stay with her needy and sweet cat-named-Kitty. Another friend and I meet up to walk downtown with her cutie little dog Lotta. I record all my walks and runs on Strava, and enjoy posting photos and videos of my furry companions, so if I walk with your pup, I would be happy to share photos if you ask! Last summer, I looked after my co-worker’s chickens and garden for a 3-day weekend, so I’m open to learning how to care for other pets beyond cats and dogs too! I work part-time at the flower shop and my schedule varies week to week based on their need, but I have lots of free time between weekdays and the weekend - I always have a free Sunday. I can easily arrange my schedule to allow for plenty of time between walks, play time, or check ups with animals. I will be brand new to Rover and open to meeting pets’ needs and routines as their human typically would! Our family does always thankfully have one person home at all times, so while kennels are still utilized in our home for various situations, your pups can expect to stay in a home environment while here :) While I personally do not have a yard, my family does own large pasture fields and hills that we will typically walk daily. These colder seasons do affect how often we go out due to the snow and unplowed hills. However in that safe weather we make it a main priority to keep active with our pups to maintain a healthy and long life for them. Safety is priority number one. Thankfully my family is pretty much set up for success here. We are knowledgeable for food, behavior, and play safety with dogs and cats. Signs and symptoms of common issues with dogs and cats, based off personal experiences, and possible fears of what ifs, urinary cat blockages and bloat, or bloody stools. And while I understand dog body language and know how to avoid those tense situations dogs can create, I am incredibly quick to say when we are going to the emergency vet, gosh forbid.

About: Hi! I'm a dependable animal lover who enjoys spending time with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I grew up around dogs, including a reactive German Shepherd, and I've also helped care for both small and large dogs in my family, so I'm comfortable with a variety of temperaments and energy levels. I'm especially good at reading dog body language and making sure dogs feel safe and understood. Whether it's going for walks, playing, or helping a dog burn off energy in a positive way, I focus on keeping things calm, structured, and fun. I'm patient, attentive, and reliable, and I always treat every dog like they're my own. My goal is to make sure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and happy while you're away. I am a college student so after 3pm on Monday's, Wednesdays, and Thursdays I am available for any of the services needed. This way I can board on the weekends for sure. I have an unfenced yard with a puppy that loves to play. I have a crate available for most dogs. I have a 100ft long leash so you don’t have to worry about your pet.

“We left our cat with Valerie for 5 days while we were gone on a trip. My cat can be rather high maintenance plus she does not tolerate other animals well. Valerie and her family worked hard to accommodate my cat's particular needs and tried to make her as comfortable as possible, making sure she had her own space away from the household pets. They even gave her a nice grooming so my cat came home looking better than when she left! I checked in daily asking for updates and pictures and Valerie always sent them.”

About: I love dogs and have two of my own - a little man named Sid and big golden named Ruby. Everyone in my family has a dog as well so I am very used to being around pets. I am an active person and would love to walk, run with, or care for your dog! I work 2 days a week and I am flexible on weekends, so just let me know what you're thinking! We have two kids at home, 3 and under, so must be okay with sweet kiddos. I live in home with a big fenced in yard which is perfect for dogs. I have a small dog and large dog who get along very well with other dogs. They get super playful around other dogs, so your dog would surely have a fun time and get all his/her energy out! I am working part-time and home with my babies the other days, allowing a lot of flexibility with caring for your pet. We have some occasional things planned for weekends but are otherwise pretty open! I have a fenced in, nice yard for dogs to play and run in. We live in a great walking neighborhood. We have two dogs to keep your fur baby company as well as two young children. Animals must be kid-friendly for our home!
About: I have been relied on to care for friends, family, and neighbors pets since I was old enough to take responsibility. When I was 14, my helping of peoples pets started when I watched a family friends dog for 4 years during week days and occasional weekends. I worked at a doggie day care facility for 4 months at the end of 2021, doing all duties that go into caring for our furry friends. I went to college to get a degree as a Veterinary Technician for a year and a half. During the time of schooling I worked in a vet clinic and took on the job role as a kennel technician, helping out with anything and everything I could get my hands on. I dropped school because of personal and external obstacles but would love to go back in the future to finish. I only aim to please and never disappoint! Please choose me to be your pets new best friend! I'm currently working full time in Gilman WI, Mon-Thurs 630AM-4PM, Fri 630AM-1030AM. I am mostly available during weekends. The earlier you book with me, the better. I like to plan ahead. I try to be flexible and fit in your pet sitting needs! When caring for pets in a clients home, I am sure to make sure that I am careful when first meeting animals as I know it could be dangerous because of their protectiveness. I make sure to look over instructions twice, and double check that all to-dos are completed before leaving the clients home. I make sure to potty before I leave each time to avoid messes and make sure that they get exercise/attention during my time with them, as I know they feel down without someone home with them.
