“We left our dog Toffee with Jenny and her family for 5 days while we attended a work conference, and we could not have asked for a better experience! This was our first time using Rover and leaving Toffee with someone we didn’t know, so we were definitely nervous at first. Toffee had the absolute best time running around in her huge backyard, playing with her kids and her two dogs, and getting so much love and attention. “Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. About: I love all animals, but cats have always had a special place in my heart. My family adopted a kitten in the year before I was born, and she immediately claimed all the baby gear for herself. She became a protector for her new human, always nearby and keeping an eye on anyone who came near me. She was the first of many cats and a few dogs, all ranging in age, personality, and needs. I adopted my own kitten in 2020, Saturn, and he is my entire life (and camera roll). He is sassy, loud, HUGE, impossibly soft, and the biggest, grumpiest baby I've ever met. I have a bank of knowledge from personal and professional experience, and I'm often that one friend who has answers to cat-related questions. Each of them are so unique and communicate with us in different ways, and one of my favorite things is learning a cat's mannerisms and likes/dislikes. Even the grumpiest or most aloof cats just need a little patience and learning how they like to interact. I am always down to snuggle or just be in the same room as them, provide different kinds of enrichment with toys or puzzles, or if your kitty is an adventurer, leash time outside. Grooming is always a toss up with cats, but I'm comfortable with the basics - brushing, nail trims, the occassional bath. I'd love to know as much as I can about them ahead of time, including if there are specific needs or accommodations they have.

I currently work full time and am available in the mornings, evenings and weekends to walk dogs and take care of dogs! Please let me know your preference! I can easily crate a dog if needed. I am available to walk dogs anytime and live near a park! I am also available to help in a client’s home to care for a pet.
About: I currently volunteer for a dog rescue organization. I have several years of experience training dogs and know how to read dog's cues for aggression, anxiety, and fear. I love walking and training dogs. I won't fetch, but I'll play fetch for hours if your dog desires! I give treats minimally and praise maximally! I'm open to using whatever method you're used to for training your dog. I use a prong collar with my pooch on walks, and know how to properly adjust the fit so the collar sits comfortably on the dog's neck. I own my own home, and have plenty of leashes, collars, and toys to occupy your pooch and make them feel like they've won the dog lottery. I'm mostly available on weekends, and work during the week with some flexibility. I'm situated in Verona near the Westside of Madison!

“Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. The personal touches are unmatched to anything we’ve experienced in the past and we will absolutely recommend her every chance we get! Thank you Cilyr!”
