I grew up around dogs/cats of all kinds my whole life and have previous experience with dog sitting for friends while they were away on trips. I’ve also volunteered at my local animal shelter, where I spent time caring for and walking both dogs and cats. You don’t need to worry about traveling, as I have my own vehicle to travel. Our one dog was adopted a couple years ago and was still struggling with opening up to other dogs when we first started bringing them to Mikes house 7 months ago. I am a stay-at-home dog owner, which means taking care of your dog is my main priority! Doggy day care and boarding is always available. I usually accept all dogs. I only refuse service if the dog has previously bit me and/or continued aggression. I have one very friendly female dog (spayed) who loves to make new friends and spend time with old ones. I keep dogs typically in the living area, uncaged. I only cage dogs if the owner requests it, and in a different room from the other dogs. I do have another helper (my fiance), as he also enjoys dogs very much. While I’ve only formally trained my own dogs, I’ve gained plenty of real-world knowledge by working with everything from energetic puppies to sweet senior pups who need a gentler touch. I'm patient, reliable, and genuinely passionate about making pets feel loved, safe, and happy while their humans are away. Whether it's a long walk, some playtime, or just quiet cuddles, I tailor my care to each pet’s needs—because every animal deserves to feel at home, even when they’re not! I work full time but fully remote from my home office so I am available for morning, lunch, or after work walks or feeds when you are rushing to get to work or travel. About: I have taken care of various different pets ranging in various different breeds and ages. I have grown up on a farm and come with a very good work ethic! I have lots of flexibility with your needs and have experience with all different types of dogs! From anxiety to sick and elderly I have taken care of various different needs for pets and would be honored to accommodate your needs for your pets to! I currently attend school at the university of Wisconsin River Falls so day by day my schedule varies with my classes. But I can easily run to your house between classes. My weekends are usually very open, I do work a part time job but it’s very light hours with flexibility. I have lots of experience of giving medication to dogs and doing any special needs for them. I am more than comfortable walking or letting your dog out. I can also crate them if needed.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats all my life. I was raised in Mississippi on a farm and we always had dogs and cats running around. I have two cat children, Gertie and Quill, but I also love dogs and have experience with older/difficult dogs. I especially love walking, so to have a little companion would be wonderful. Excited to meet them! I am available most week days after 3pm and all day Sat and Sun. I have meetings during the week that vary but I rarely have a packed schedule; perfect for potty breaks, drop ins, and walks. Pets need you to meet them where they’re at, so I always approach them that way. Ideally, that’s with lots of love and cuddles, but I’m happy to also just sit in the company of a sassy cat or a skittish dog. About: The two loves of my life were my dog, Abby, and my dog Bronx. Abby was a Siberian husky and Bronx a 15” lemon beagle. Bronx was part of my life for 20 years and just recently passed. I honestly can’t imagine a life without animals in it, and one day I wanna be able to reflect back on my life, knowing that I did as much as I could to help as many animals as possible, which is why becoming a part of ROVER is so appealing. I have an incredibly flexible work schedule that will enable me to schedule my work hours around my hours caring for animals. I truly believe that animals are every bit as important as we are, and I think pet owners will be able to rest easy, leaving their pets in my care, knowing that their health and safety will be of the utmost importance to me! I have a two-story condo that they would be able to spend most of their time in with me. I also have a heated garage that I’ve converted into a safe and comfortable area for animals to play in. In addition to that, I live in Woodbury, literally surrounded by parks, full of walking paths that will be ideal for a dogs exercise. One thing I would like pet owners to know is that I’m not doing this for the money, I’m doing this because I’m newly single and alone and can’t think of anybody better to spend my time with than animals in need. I wouldn’t just be some dog watcher, I would be their friend that plays with them and loves being with them.
