“Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. The personal touches are unmatched to anything we’ve experienced in the past and we will absolutely recommend her every chance we get! Thank you Cilyr!”

I have also volunteered with Wisconsin WildCare and local humane societies. I am a passionate & fearless animal advocate with speed dial access to a large animal vet and a retired DNR officer. About: I regularly care for a family friend’s two cats. When looking after cats, I always make sure that they have fresh food and water, that their surroundings are clean, that they are healthy and behaving normally, and that I check on them through the day. I also make sure to play with them everyday for about an hour, depending on how much they like to play, either once or twice a day. I pay attention to their moods and activities to make sure that they are not only happy but also entertained, without overdoing it. About: I’ve grown up in a household that has always had at least two dogs, usually 3. We also have 3 indoor-outdoor cats. I am now a student at UW Madison, and I have a 5yr old heeler shepherd mix. Throughout her life I have trained her for obedience and herding, and have dealt with low confidence and reactivity with her daily. I am experienced with dogs who are shy and tend to be reactive. About: I’ve been a proud dog owner for over 15 years, and caring for dogs has always been a big part of my life. Over the years, I’ve gained hands on experience with dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, from energetic puppies to senior pups. In addition to caring for my own pets, I’ve volunteered at local animal shelters, where I helped walk, feed, and socialize dogs from all backgrounds. I'm comfortable with a variety of breeds and activity levels, and I always tailor my approach to each dog’s individual needs, whether it’s a long walk for an active dog, playtime and enrichment for a curious pup, or calm companionship for an older one. My goal is to make every dog feel happy, safe, and loved. I don't have much experience with cats but am eager to learn and help any cat parent that needs it. I currently work from home and have a flexible schedule that allows me to check on or walk pets during the day or anytime during the week. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Whether I’m walking your dog, visiting for a drop in, or staying in your home, I make sure each pet feels relaxed, secure, and loved. During walks, I always use secure leashes, avoid unsafe areas, and keep a close eye on your dog’s behavior and surroundings. For drop in visits, I follow your routine for feeding, playtime, and potty breaks to keep things consistent and stress free. When staying in your home, I treat your space with respect and keep everything clean and tidy while maintaining your pet’s usual schedule.
About: My pet-sitting experiences include looking after both cats and dogs day to day and for extended periods of time. When taking care of cats, I make sure they have clean water and food at all times; keep their environment clean; watch over them and see if they are healthy; and interact with them by playing with them on a daily basis. I also have experience caring for dogs of various sizes and energy levels, such as pit bulls. Making sure their fed, walked, groomed, and cleaning up any messes/ their environment. In addition always making sure they have access to clean drinking water and providing plenty of playtime and attention. In addition, I occasionally take care of a family friend’s dog who has arthritis. I help keep her comfortable through gentle massages, giving her medication as directed, and hand-feeding her when necessary. In doing so, I learned to be patient and attentive in caring for an animal's individual needs. What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals. I always go the extra mile into taking good care of animals, ensuring their safety, and comfort in the absence of their owners. I treat every pet as if they were my own and doing everything I can to ensure their happiness. I am extremely flexible with regards to my schedule, and can be available for the most part of the day. I wake up early, so feeding and taking the animals for walk won't be a problem at all. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I value their safety, trust, and maintaining a calm and familiar environment for their pet. It is important for me to carefully follow all the instructions concerning their feeding schedule, treatment, taking medication, and other specific care. It goes without saying that I make sure that the pets receive proper meals and have clean water to drink. I also try to keep the house as clean as possible, including litter boxes for cats and any messes that may occur. I also observe the pets to ensure everything seems normal and they’re healthy. I believe that building trust with both pets and owners is essential, I’ll always provide them with updates and photographs about the current condition of the pets. My goal is to make sure their pet is cared for and mostly importantly happy.

“Kristin and Bruce did a great job with my older dog, Madigan. She is sometimes anere xious to be away from home, but she was at ease from the minute we walked in the door. This is the first time in the last six years we did not have someone come in to the home. The pictures showed a relaxed, happy dog and her tail and ears were high when I arrived to pick her up. Dogs know people and she is loyal to "her pack", but our dog loved being a part of Kristin and Bruce's pack. I highly recommend Kristin and Bruce. You will not be disappointed!”

“Please read! I will be there first to admit I was skeptical of using Rover. I carefully scanned through profiles of those willing to watch the two dogs we have, a Great Dane and a boxer. Cilyr was so much more than we could have asked for! She and I agreed having a meet and greet prior was a great choice to make sure the dogs would have an easier transition. Cilyr went to every length to ensure she had asked questions we may not have thought of: do the dogs have allergies? Require specific routines? But I was really blown away when she brought to my attention that she does not have a truck large enough for our Great Dane in the event he would need to get to a vet emergently however, she has already arranged with a friend and neighbor that she could borrow theirs should an emergency arise. I knew at that moment She was that absolutely perfect choice to watch our dogs. This was not just a” side gig” for her, she genuinely cares so much for animals and helping others! When I brought the boys back for their week long stay they took about a day and a half to fully adjust. I know this because Cilyr went above and beyond to make sure I knew the boys were doing well and sent pictures! It was so heartwarming to get those little messages and pictures and know our boys were in great hands. Through those pictures you could see our dogs easing into their day and feeling safe and loved. Before we had even returned from our vacation we had discussed that we will hands down take our dogs back to her any time we need to leave them. The personal touches are unmatched to anything we’ve experienced in the past and we will absolutely recommend her every chance we get! Thank you Cilyr!”

About: I’ve had animals in every corner of my life, throughout my whole life! I’ve taken care of many dogs and cats all with various needs such as medications, appointments, and mobile assistance. I have also volunteered with Wisconsin WildCare and local humane societies. I am a passionate & fearless animal advocate with speed dial access to a large animal vet and a retired DNR officer. I will treat your pet as my own whether it’s in my home or your home. I work a full time job only seven minutes from my home. My job is incredibly flexible and understanding of my need to let animals out or even leave work early for pet care! I have a balcony that animals can hang out on and a large grassy field that I take animals for walks on. I always keep them leashed. If I want them to be unleashed, I can take them to the local dog park five minutes from my house! I am comfortable with animals on furniture and sleeping in bed with me. I have access to my own crate if the animal is crate trained.

She took time to explain everything to me and she has a fenced yard for my dog to run. She sent me several photos during the stay. She also took my dog to dog park to play. Her schedule is also very flexible. I had to drop off my dog in early morning and pick up in late night and she accommodated our requests. My dog looks really happy when I pick her up.
