About: I have always had dogs! We live in the Silver Beach neighborhood and have recently lost our sweet little poodle and now that our children are grown and gone, I feel I can provide a safe, reliable, and fun space for dog parents who need a sitter. I am a homemaker who enjoys, hiking, and biking and being in the outdoors. I travel to see our son who is in college at UNC but for the most part am here in Bellingham and available for dog sitting. About: Training my two aussie shepherd girls is a passion of mine, we herd sheep a couple times a week. About: Hello! My name is Melina and we have a 4-year old Vizsla, Rasco, who loves to sleep, play and follow us on adventures. Your pup will be treated as one of ours, with lots of play time, attention and cuddles. If you have a high-energy dog, he'll fit right in as well, as I go on longer hikes every day with Rasco. In the winter we often cross country ski and in the summer we bike, hike, go to lakes and anything else that's fun! We've got tons of dog toys and dog beds available. Pets are allowed on furniture, and we don't have/use crates as I will mostly be home and around. If you would like to bring your own crate, that is totally fine as well! We have a fenced in yard with a doggie door too, so they have space to play outside as well when we're not out on a walk or a hike. I am happy to answer other questions you may have, just let me know! I currently am taking time off work and have unlimited availability when in town. I am very flexible and open for new bookings and I would love to help care for your pets going into this spring! I will be going to hikes, walks and other adventures depending on needs. We have a fenced backyard and a doggie door, so dogs are always able to get outside anytime. I will usually be home during the day with the dogs, but if I need to run any errands, I will not be out for more than 2 hours.
About: We've raised Bruce, an Aussie-lab mix since 2016, and recently hosted a family members 2 corgis for 6 months during 2020. Prior to Bruce, I helped train our family Chihuahua beginning in 2010. I follow the positive encouragement training method, and love endless unique personalities of our furry companions. During 2020 we've been working from home, and love taking Bruce out for a 1.5mi 30min walk during lunch. There's many great trails in our neighborhood, and we love exploring all the new trails we can find. We have a fenced yard and the friendliest dog EVER! He literally loves everyone! Since then, I’ve been a primary caregiver for two rescue mutts and a companion to the many pets of my friends and family. I’m passionate about learning to understand animal emotions and behavior in order to more effectively care for pets. My goal is to build a relationship that is based on compassion, understanding, and trust. My schedule is highly flexible. I work remotely as a freelance writer, which allows me to easily adapt to pets’ routines. I keep my Rover schedule current, so it accurately reflects my availability. The other person on the property owns two dogs as well but the yard is fenced off separately so there’s no contact . I have a 4 yr old German Shepard who’s a saint and has love for every creature:) he’s gentle and good with senior dogs, small dogs, large dogs , cats and anything in between. Respectful of boundaries but it’s also possible to have him go to grandmas house so if your dog doesn’t get along with others, that’s okay too!

“Puppies spent a relaxing evening with Karrin and her pups after taking their walks around the grounds and getting their energy out. Alice and her aging Lola poodle snuggled together on the couch like 2 little old ladies watching the young pups figure life out. She sent me pictures again like she did the day before and was very conscientious about everything concerning the dogs. I highly recommend her. She communicates quickly on the app and is on time and the only time she was late is because my dogs were finally ready to eat their usual amount of food and ate their full breakfast in the morning and made her late, she wasn’t going to stop them from eating after they had hardly eaten anything for 3 days. We had talked about how much food that they had consumed, or lack there of, between us during our conversations. So she knew when they finally began to chow down like she saw she wasn’t going to stop them, that’s a great sitter to me, I wouldn’t make my dog drop off time that close to a flight time etc.., if you did, that’s on you not her, I digress, she’s awesome, like she said, this is a sign that the dogs feel comfortable. When they eat. I will definitely use her again. I hope you do too!”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8, and I’ve walked a lot of my neighbors dogs for money. I’ve taken care of dogs and cats overnight, and I’ve helped train my neighbors dogs. I work part time and have a workout schedule so I take them out early in the morning, late in the morning, afternoon, evening, and before bed. Longer walks are always in the morning and at night and shorter ones are more frequent during the day. I provide a safe and loving environment for every pet in my care. I have a friendly dog who enjoys meeting new friends, and pets are always supervised and treated like family. While I don’t have a yard, I make sure dogs get plenty of walks, exercise and attention. For house sitting and drop in visits, I follow your pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, medications, and lots of affection. I live with my grandma in a calm, pet friendly home and am committed to keeping your pets happy, comfortable, and safe while you’re away.
