About: Aside from my professional experience as a wildlife biologist and Oregon zoo employee I'm a life long lover of cats. Growing up with them has taught me the patience sometimes needed to truly understand and bond with them. I am familiar with administering medications, dietary issues, cleaning litter boxes, and my wife and I are even the type of people to take our cats on supervised outdoor time with leashes.

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for as long as I can remember (I’ve been sneaking animals in my home since I was in diapers😌), and being around them truly makes me happiest. “Alex is the best! We needed help with our three cats with very little scheduling notice, and Alex stepped up to help. He took notes while I went over their routine, and I could tell he took caring for them very seriously. He even agreed to bringing in our mail and watering some plants. One of our cats is diabetic and needs insulin injections twice daily, and she was also on an oral antibiotic. Alex updated us regularly about how the cats were doing, whether or not the diabetic cat was eating, and how feedings and medication administrations went. It really eased our anxieties with leaving our three cats with individual needs in the hands of someone so capable and trustworthy. Alex's professionalism and dedication to providing quality care for our cats and the house while we were gone allowed us to focus on what we needed to at that time. We will undoubtedly request his services for future cat care needs while we are away.”

About: Have always been surrounded by pets of my own (such as cats, dogs, rodents, birds, and reptiles), and have done pet sitting for dogs of all sizes for family friends over the years. I’m a stay at home girl with plenty of time on my hands that I’d like to spend doing what I love, which is caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. While I do stay in an apartment, I have all the time to go for lots of walks and potty breaks. I live by a beautiful creekside trail that is simply perfect for taking long walks along. I have two cats. One of which is shy and minds his own space, and another who absolutely loves all people and pets, so they do just fine around other animals. I have a large kennel with a bed to give dogs a comfortable space of their own to relax in, as I know that some dogs rather enjoy that, but crating is not necessary.

“Our cat and dog were left in good hands with Leah and Chris. We got daily feedback and pictures. We could tell our dog got the exercise he needed and daily activities. In the past when we picked up our cat at sitters he comes to us ready to come home, but this time he just laid there looking at us in the other room, ignoring us when we called him to come. You can tell our animals were well taken care of and were happy.”

He seems insightful of dogs' communication and was able to handle our dog's protectiveness around meal times. I really appreciated Chris' communication and that there weren't a lot of other dogs there at the same time so I didn't have to worry about unknown dog group dynamics. “Ann has been my saving grace! I am a helicopter dog mom and have a lot of trust issues when it comes to my girl Birdie…. and luckily, Ann acknowledged my anxieties and assured such great care! She is a great communicator, loves my girl as if she was her own, and is always available! I have to mention that we did have a cancellation last minute but it was because she did not want Birdie to potentially get sick. I think that’s an important thing to consider with the review that Rover posted. No issues with Ann whatsoever, and i will continue to feel at ease when dropping Birdie off!”
