About: Aside from my professional experience as a wildlife biologist and Oregon zoo employee I'm a life long lover of cats. Growing up with them has taught me the patience sometimes needed to truly understand and bond with them. I am familiar with administering medications, dietary issues, cleaning litter boxes, and my wife and I are even the type of people to take our cats on supervised outdoor time with leashes.

About: I’ve been a cat person for as long as I can remember. As a shy kid, cats were my favorite animals, and whenever we visited a home with a cat, I’d happily spend hours patiently earning their trust until they felt comfortable coming out for pets and attention. Although we didn’t have a cat of our own growing up, I started caring for our neighbors’ cats when I was around 10 years old because everyone knew how much I loved them. Since then, I’ve cared for all kinds of cats, from feral and shy cats to playful kittens and senior cats with special needs. I’m comfortable administering oral medications and have experience giving subcutaneous fluids to cats when needed. I’ve also helped friends trim their cats’ nails and assist with medications. He is very picky about his litter box and other spaces being kept clean so I have no problem with daily litter scooping. About: I've had a lot of experiences taking care of dogs and cats the maximum number I've taken care of is 3 dogs and 2 cats at one time! I enjoy going for walks and hikes and sometimes runs. I currently have 2 dogs and a cat. Im used to walking my chocolate lab and German Shepard, pitbull mix together. My German Shepard mix has a lot of anxiety and we have been working with a dog trainer and a behavioralist to work with his reactivity as well as his anxiety. I’m very comfortable with dogs with reactivity and anxiety as well as dogs that are big jumpers. I’ve dog sat for dogs such as chihuahuas, labs, border collies, beagles, pugs, springer spaniels, German Shepard’s and mutts. I have a lot of patience for dogs that are shy and take some time to warm up. I have experience using prong collars, gentle leads, and harnesses. I also have worked with many puppies in training and would be happy to implement any training methods you are using. I also love cats and have a lot of experience with shy and timid cats as well. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I’m currently working from home with a very flexible schedule and have plenty of times available for walks and drop in visits. I have 3 pets of my own though and can’t stay overnight or do boarding at my house. If your dog enjoys playing with other dogs I’m happy to bring my lab over she is great with other dogs. I am happy to accommodate any routine your pet may have to make them more comfortable on walks and drop in visits. I’m very used to shy dogs and cats that may need a little more space as well as super energetic ones.
