About: For as long as I can remember, I've lived in a household with pets! As a kid, my family had a little shih tzu and then later on we had a huge pit bull mix (we also almost always had at least 3 cats running around, adding to the craziness). I've always loved getting to spend time with animals because of their vastly different personalities, from the lazy pug I currently have to the crazy cats I take care of for friends! I'd love to get the opportunity to spend time with your pet too, whether it's taking them on long walks or just playing with them around the house! I'm currently a full-time employee with lots of flexibility in my hours. I'm available most days from noon until 10pm! Some days may have slight differences in hours based on if I have any work meetings, but I'm always transparent with my availability! I live in a gated apartment complex currently with a large dog park. Because of my current home, I only offer drop-in visits and walks. Because of this, I'd be visiting your home. I believe in treating everyone's home with absolute respect so I'll make sure to follow all rules you set for your space as well as ensure your pets are safe and happy at the end of my visits!

She is especially accommodating—we had our regular sitter bail on us the day before we were set to leave the state for the holidays—and she answered our request to pet sit for a week, over the holidays of all times, within 30 minutes! She was very detailed in her communications about how our pets were doing each night, and she wasn’t afraid to ask a question if she had one regarding how to deal with anything our animals were doing that wasn’t specifically listed in the instructions, which I especially appreciated. She could have easily done the bare minimum with things—but she put in the effort to go the extra mile by doing things like staying with our cats for extended periods to make sure they were eating their dinner when she could have fed them, assumed they would eat correctly, and call it a day. Misty also made good decisions on her own if we didn’t answer a question she had while she was at our home for a drop-in. Our cats seemed to be very comfortable with her, they are very particular and don’t warm up to everyone; however Misty was able to get them to eat their dinner better than most past sitters (they tend to be reserved and get anxious when we’re gone, they don’t eat well with many past sitters—but this wasn’t a problem!)”

About: Hi, I’m Carissa — a mom of four and lifelong animal lover with experience caring for pets of all kinds. I’ve had cats and dogs since I was a kid and have trained puppies at home with potty training and basic commands like sit, stay, and come. I love all breeds and personalities — seniors, shy pups, and energetic goofballs are all welcome here! Right now I’m in the slow season of my regular job, which means I have extra time and flexibility to give your pet plenty of attention and love. I treat every animal like family and always take time to understand their unique personality. Expect lots of cuddles, encouragement, and photo updates from me! I wake up very early every day and can always care for pets before work or after work, and always on my days off. If your schedule is flexible I can do multiple visits a day as well. I treat all animals like they are my own family, and love learning each one’s personality. They will get lots of cuddles and encouragement from me :)
