About: I can hardly remember a time where i didnt have at least one pet. “My husband and I had planned and booked a 2 week bucket list trip to Peru and were set to leave in 7 weeks. We had arranged our normal pet sitter that we’ve used for years to come and take care of our (almost) 15 year old cat, Mr. Christmas. It was around that time that Mr. Christmas stopped eating. Mr. Christmas had no real health conditions, no meds…and he was declining fast. After extensive testing, imaging, and seeing a specialist, he was diagnosed with either IBD or cancer and was going to need a lot of follow up. He was on multiple oral medications and he still wasn’t eating great. I couldn’t leave him in the house with someone who can only come see him once a day. He needed more support and our normal pet sitter couldn’t provide that for him. I was fully prepared to cancel the trip, but thought I’d go on Rover to see if anyone could match what we were looking for and if anyone would be willing to do what we were asking. We needed three, hour-long visits daily, forcing food at him, weighing him, and administering multiple daily medications. I found Melanie explaining what I was looking for, and I was really impressed that she was up early at 4:30am to message me. Melanie communicated with me each week leading up to our trip. We initially didn’t have a diagnosis and I needed vet clearance to leave him. Melanie asked many questions, and when we finally were told that he was stable enough to leave, she came over to our house with a list of questions to go over with us. He’s got a bit…a lot…of an attitude. She made sure that she didn’t approach him and waited for him to come to her. She was so thoughtful about every detail of their interaction in front of us. My husband and I both felt that even though she is a stranger to us, there was something calming about her and she was very professional. We knew Mr. Christmas would be okay, but I wasn’t expecting him to thrive the way that he did. Melanie never missed a visit. She never asked for anything from me. She communicated with me daily throughout the two weeks. She braved picking him up to put him on the scale multiple times. Mr. Christmas gained weight with Melanie. He wasn’t gaining weight with me at home, but she is just that good. Pictures of Mr. Christmas started with him sleeping alone, and then he got closer and closer to her on the couch. He even started inviting her to watch him in the litter box (I’m mortified), but he only does this with “his people”. Our dog came to visit at home a few days to see Mr. Christmas (they are besties), and Melanie had no problem cuddling our dog while visiting Mr. Christmas. To describe Melanie in one or two words, I would say she is easygoing and pays great attention to detail. She makes everything seem easy and carefree, and my anxiety really appreciated that on this trip. I got home from 15 days away from him, and he is this thick ball of fluffy happiness. He was WELL taken care of. We could have never gone on this trip without Melanie. She is a true gem and I will be referring anyone and everyone I know to her. “I am an overprotective veterinary professional/Karen here... so I'm shocked that I found someone I'm so confident saying this about, but... Jennifer could NOT be a better, safer, more reliable, more loving, more careful and cautious pet sitter. My best friend and I were in Olympia for a few days recently for an event, and I needed somewhere for my three beautiful black crazies to be for that day. I'd spoken with some other pet sitters, but wasn't impressed, and I was getting more and more stressed out about it. Luckily, at the 13th hour, someone my daughter works with recommended Jennifer. As soon as we walked into her home, I knew I'd found my "person". Her entire house is set up to be a doggie Disneyland. Her yard is ENORMOUS, fully enclosed, and has natural ground. (Which is great, because I always worry about ACL injuries when dogs are running on concrete or slippery grass.) Within the first 10 minutes of being there, my autistic adult dog relieved herself completely, which she hadn't done throughout the prior three days we were traveling. And then... the most amazing thing of all... she started ZOOMING around the yard! I have had her for five years, and had never seen her like that before. She was like a bullet, flying through the air, unstoppable in her joy and speed. Her puppy brothers struggled to keep up with her, but couldn't. It was one of the most beautiful things I'd ever seen. I felt so, so comfortable leaving my three babies with her. I'd never felt that comfortable with anyone. Beyond that, Jennifer was friendly and incredibly flexible. It's clear she really loves dogs. I told her that if I ever make the 1,000-plus mile trip again, it would be so that my dogs could visit her, and NOT so that I could see my daughter. Joking...? I think not. Thank you, Jennifer! About: I have been taking care of animals my whole life. I have a genuine love for being near animals and taking care of them because they brighten my day. I am currently in college I want to try to make pet sitting a part time job so I can save up for my future. The apartment comples I live in has a dog park where a lot of dogs go and have fun, if there is any type of schedule by the owner/owners I would follow it. I usually try to relax on my free time, reading books and enjoying art, my hobbies give me time to take care of and play with the animals that I care for. The doors are locked unless I or someone with a key unlocks them, i make sure that the dogs have a leash on before I open the door and that there are no cats near the door to run out.

About: I have 7 dogs, and 7 snakes, a pet rat and a pet bunny. I also have 4 children. I'm an active person who loves to work with animals. I have a wide range of animal experiences. I went to school and got my vet assisting certificate. My dogs enjoy playing in our fenced in yard and playing with the kids who are always excited. During the summer my dogs and I enjoy bikejoring and in the winter if there is enough snow we go dog sledding. I do offer training services if you have an active pup who needs a "job" to do. We take the time to understand your pet’s environment, routines, and needs—whether it’s a quiet walk through the neighborhood or special instructions for your home while you’re away. We’re respectful of your space and treat your home with care and professionalism. You can count on us to follow your instructions closely, lock up securely, and maintain a clean, safe environment for your pets. During walks, we stick to routes your dog is familiar with (unless instructed otherwise) and always keep them leashed and under control. We’re alert to potential hazards like traffic, other dogs, or wildlife and will adjust as needed to keep your pet safe and calm. Communication is key—we’ll keep you updated and will always reach out if anything seems off or needs attention.
About: I have many dogs and I've raised them since they were puppies. I can bathe dogs. give them lots of love. I also love cats. I am very flexible with my schedule, and can provide any times you need! I am fine with mornings, evenings, or even late at night! I can easily create comfort for a dog or cat as I am very loving. I am a responsible person. I have no criminal record or have gotten into trouble.
About: I will make sure your animal(s) know I care about them as if they were my own and am eager to pass on my companionship to any other animals when they need a person. I've been house sitting for about 5 years now and have had multiple repeat families. Im currently working part-time so will have time to show your pets love and company. I also have a live in partner at my place that helps make sure im available for overnight sitting out of the house as well! I care for pets in clients home, and making sure that im aware of any escape artists or what exactly is required of me to fully care for your pets-i.e. food times, potty times, if they are able to be left alone and if so then for how long, etc.

About: I have taken care of dogs of every kind my whole life. I have also taken care of cats and even farm animals such as goats, pigs, turkeys, chickens, rabbits and ducks I am currently working part-time. I will have plenty of time to play with your animals. I am always willing to visit once a day on weekdays and weekends if needed I am currently not accepting any at home ( my home) care as I live in an apartment and am unsure of how my cat will do with other animals
