“I highly recommend Lorena for pup-boarding! My jack-chi Philo stayed with Lorena and her family while I was out of town for 6 days, and - like someone else had mentioned about their dog - I feel like he had his own little vacation. My previous go-to sitter had moved out of town and I was a bit worried about finding someone who could meet the needs of my sensitive little boy. After reading Lorena's reviews, I had a very good feeling, and she even offered a meet and greet in person or phone beforehand. The care was excellent, with lots of pics of Philo out walking and updates. Their house was a great place for him too, with room to explore, get outside, and enjoy nature. And he even made some doggie friends while he was there. As Philo does sometimes, he wasn't eating all his food at first. After checking with me (I'd mentioned chicken is his favorite) Lorena gave him some chicken and he got a healthier appetite. The whole trip, I wasn't worried about Philo and knew he was in good hands which was a relief. Thank you Lorena!”

About: Over the years, my husband and I have shared our lives with all kinds of dogs: farm dogs, little dogs, a Great Dane in a studio apartment, and now our Mini Australian Shepherd. We have learned and refined our dog ownership skills over time, finally investing in professional training for both our dog and ourselves in 2025. I strive to provide the kind of boarding experience I wish I could find for my own dog, where training, routines, and boundaries are respected while you're away. I work from home full-time, so pet care fits naturally into my day. We have a large, fully fenced backyard, daily walks, and a very friendly Mini Australian Shepherd who enjoys canine company. Your dog won't be left alone for a typical workday. I do leave the house for school drop-offs and pick-ups, errands, or weekend activities. Dogs should be comfortable being alone for a few hours. Because I have both a young child and my own dog, I only accept dogs that: -Are friendly with children and other dogs. -Are up to date on vaccinations and flea prevention. -Can comfortably settle into a family home.

About: I work from home and love dogs and cats! However I cannot have my own at this time. I have experience taking care of both dogs and cats, having had both. In my free time, I used to volunteer taking dogs from a nearby shelter for walks, I find it personally just very rewarding (and great exercise)! Because I work from my home, I can be more flexible with my schedule. I live next to the Burke Gilman trail and love to take walks. I am active as a person (swimming, running, water polo) and can help get those energetic doggos get moving! About: I’ve grown up with a variety of animals in my household, including reactive dogs. I believe it’s imperative to give pets respect and read their boundaries to form mutual trust! I’m currently a dance instructor who works evenings, weekday daytime until around 7pm is completely free. Saturdays and Sundays intermittently have classes or events, I am usually available morning until noon, and after 6pm. I follow the vibe of your pet! If they want a playmate, someone to chill with, a servant to give them food and leave; their wish is my command. I give them the love and respect that I would give my own.
