About: I got my first pup when I turned 11 and have cared for them ever since, going on 14 years of owning a pet. Both dogs and cats! About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life. From docile Labs to energetic Boxers to retired Grey Hounds. I’ve personally owned a Border Aussie. I got her as a puppy, taught her to herd my chickens and trained her on verbal, visual and whistle commands. I am comfortable with all life stages and even with medical needs (had to rehab my herding dog through a TPLO surgery). I have no issues administering medication orally or subcutaneously. I work full time from home, my schedule is a little flexible. I typically don’t have mid day meetings which is where I’m looking to fill my lunch with a furry friend. I am off usually around 4/4:30 so my afternoons can be filled with furry friends as well! As pet parents we are all going to have different ways of managing our pets. About: I've always been a huge animal person and honestly can't wait for the day I have my own pet full-time. Until then, sitting is the perfect way to get my fix and make some furry friends along the way! I'm an avid walker and would love a buddy to bring along, whether that's a long stroll around the neighborhood or a quick loop to burn off some energy. I grew up around dogs and cats and have looked after all kinds over the years, from geriatric dogs to multi-pet households, including pets on special diets and medication schedules. I work from home, so your pet gets real company, and my building has a dog area right there, so potty breaks and outdoor time happen easily throughout the day. About: Karissa has had experience raising 3 dogs from puppy years to old age, a Cavalier / Maltese, German Shepherd / Australian Cattle mix, and Cavalier. The German Shepherd / Australian Cattle was an adult rescue with special care and patience needed for their social anxiety. Andrew was raised by Black Labs and has volunteered at the pet shelter in Ventura, CA. We are the go-to dog sitters for friends and families for weekends and extended stays. We absolutely adore dogs of all breeds and always make it an intention to get them out the house for activities like long walks, strolls at the farmers market, or fetch at the park. Our schedule is built around them and we want them to feel comfortable enjoy their time with us! We both work a full-time hybrid schedule Monday through Friday. Because Karissa goes in 2x / week and Andrew goes in at least 1x / week, we switch days in the office so someone will always be home. We are also both early risers who enjoy morning walks and we lead an active lifestyle always making it an intention to move and get outside after work. I live right across the street from a park and am in a very walkable neighborhood by South Lake Union. The area is also very safe and pet-friendly. We can schedule a meet and greet beforehand as well to ensure our home is a good match for your pet.
