When we came home, the cats seemed emotionally very well and cared for. I could tell she had spent the right amount of time with them and given them enough attention, because they were not upset, stressed or angry at me for leaving them as they would be if they had not been attended to sufficiently. Alexandra was also very kind to our apartment while she was over, leaving it very clean. Best of all, she was easy to communicate with while we were away. I definitely recommend her as a pet sitter!”

About: As a young kid, my family bred Saint Bernards. By all means, I am from a "dog family." I grew up walking, feeding, cleaning stalls, etc. dogs much larger than me. Eventually and gradually we would adopt several mixed-breed dogs and other strays who we loved just as much as our Saints. On top of this, however, I was also proud to be responsible for a beautiful, sassy cat, from a younger kitty to her golden years. Moreover, some friends and I spent time trapping feral cats in West Central Spokane, specifically around where we lived and worked, then taking them to PetSavers for spay/neutering, and working to rehome them. I enjoy "working" with all kinds of dogs and cats. This includes seniors, those with health conditions, or those who simply benefit from extra patience and extra attention. You may already see me walking dogs in Cheney and Airway Heights. I would be glad to get to know your pet family and learn what everyone likes best and wants most. I currently work as a "hand" maintaining a lower-maintenance property in the greater Spokane County. This arrangement is semi-formal and provides ample flexibility in my schedule to meet the needs of your pet family. Each home and family is different, and expresses their love for the pet family in different ways. I am glad to meet your pet family where you are all at, and give us an opportunity to get to know each other. I talk low and slow by default, but can easily match the energy of your pet family. Dogs will enjoy their walks and time together and return a happy camper :-) Cats will have a dedicated eye on them and if your cat is a playful or affectionate type, their need to socialize will be met. I can usually coax most shy cats into some socializing or play time, and cats who are "protective" of one thing or another, and maybe not as friendly, still will also get ample care and attention.

I moved from Virginia to Washington to attend grad school at Eastern Washington University. In California, I was a hospice caretaker for a 21 year old dog with cancer. I teach one English comp course Mon-Fri from 9am to 9:50am. Unfortunately I just moved into a small apartment that doesn’t allow pets, but I’m happy to pet sit at your home and give your pet a safe environment to play in.

“This was our first time boarding our dog, Lily, so we were a little nervous, but Crystal made the whole experience so easy. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and we really appreciated her flexibility with our pickup and drop off times. She kept us updated with pictures throughout Lily’s stay, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. It was obvious Lily was having a great time, she got lots of walks, plenty of attention, and came home happy and tired. She also has a great property and a wonderful family environment that made us feel confident Lily was in good hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!”

He was stressed and didn't want to eat during his stay, but she ensured he was cared for and took the time to help him settle in and eat. There were two very energetic dogs, not one as listed, and that was overwhelming for me and Bucky upon arrival. I was grateful he seemed to acclimate quickly.”

“I’m so thankful for Zachary and his wife! Our Luna has been a bit depressed since her stroke a few years ago but after coming home from doggy daycare with them she way spunky, happy, and is even spending more time outside with a smile whereas it was difficult to get her to enjoy much time outside before as she would want to go back into the house or wouldn’t leave the back porch much. I’m so happy to see her rolling in the dirt and playing now. This means the world!!! She requires a lot of care and they did an excellent job even wrapping her foot really well and keeping it protected. We will definitely be going back and I look forward to her having another fun visit in the future. Thank you both so much and we will see you soon!”
