I have used Rachel on 3 occasions so far, from a few days up to two weeks at a time. For context, I have a 10# poodle & I have never let my dog spend the night anywhere before except with a couple close friends. I was apprehensive to try this service, but ran out of options one time when I had to fly out in an emergency. Now, this is my go to place. Rachel has a great place with fenced acreage, a couple school age children who are respectful with dogs. At times there are other dogs that she cares for at the same time, so it would be helpful if your dog is socialized well & then they have “friends” to play with. I couldn’t ask for anything better with Rachel’s service. My dog has to take meds & she is competent with all of that as well. She sends pics of your dog to you periodically if you’d like while you’re away to reassure you everything is great. She communicates well & asks questions if needed. Brian did a wonderful meet and greet with my boys (two newfoundlands) and walked them today without me..that may seem like a strange thing to say but Byron (my younger boy) refuses to go on a walk for anyone but me - not even my husband! He was perfectly fine on going on the walk with Sinjin (my older boy) and Brian. No temper tantrums, no refusal to walk. NONE of it. I like to keep dog routines continued to minimize stress on pets and their people. For parents that don't have the time or for dogs that can use additional exercise, I can take dogs out for walks. I have also been a cat mom of 4 at once and love cats too! I have my dog, Brodie, and my routine revolves around him. I make sure he gets the memtal and physical stimulation and exercise he needs to be healthy and happy. I want to help my clients and pets with this as well for their families. I have a fenced yard and very dog-friendly set up at home. At client's homes, I respect the space and help pets feel secure in their routines with attention and care.
About: I have taken care of a variety of animals my entire life growing up on a farm. I have been a Licensed Veterinary Technician for 24 years. I work part-time remotely and part-time in a vet clinic. I am looking to supplement my income while still working my current part-time jobs. I work Monday through Wednesday remotely. Then I'm working Thursday and Friday in a Veterinary Hospital. I'm mostly available Friday night through early Thursday morning. I have 4 dogs, 2 outdoor cats, 2 horses, and 15 chickens. I can easily separate dogs as needed with a secure large backyard. Our entire property is 5 acres completely fenced and cross fenced. My husband can easily take care of our animals if I'm away from the house.

“I am not one to bother leaving recommendations & I wanted to see if my experience would serve the test of time before I did. I have used Rachel on 3 occasions so far, from a few days up to two weeks at a time. For context, I have a 10# poodle & I have never let my dog spend the night anywhere before except with a couple close friends. I was apprehensive to try this service, but ran out of options one time when I had to fly out in an emergency. Now, this is my go to place. Rachel has a great place with fenced acreage, a couple school age children who are respectful with dogs. At times there are other dogs that she cares for at the same time, so it would be helpful if your dog is socialized well & then they have “friends” to play with. I couldn’t ask for anything better with Rachel’s service. My dog has to take meds & she is competent with all of that as well. She sends pics of your dog to you periodically if you’d like while you’re away to reassure you everything is great. She communicates well & asks questions if needed. If you are unable to take your dog with you, I would highly recommend Rachel & her service on Rover.com with anyone.”
