I happened to have a vet appointment for Max that I'd scheduled a couple of days after my vacation. Both dogs had lost a few pounds, yeah! And Max's back right knee was doing very well, no swelling, heat or favoring. Jenny and her family did a great job with keeping an eye on him and keeping him from overdoing it. They were also very understanding when I managed to screw up my pickup date. I'd inadvertently written down my return flight on the day before it was actually scheduled, so I'd scheduled their pickup time for the next day, just about at the time when my flight was supposed to depart. And of course, the flight was delayed about two and a half hours. Luckily, I was able to pick them up about 5 hours after the designated pickup time. I will definitely be looking to her for boarding again in the future!”

About: For as long as I can remember, I've lived in a household with pets! As a kid, my family had a little shih tzu and then later on we had a huge pit bull mix (we also almost always had at least 3 cats running around, adding to the craziness). I've always loved getting to spend time with animals because of their vastly different personalities, from the lazy pug I currently have to the crazy cats I take care of for friends! I'd love to get the opportunity to spend time with your pet too, whether it's taking them on long walks or just playing with them around the house! I'm currently a full-time employee with lots of flexibility in my hours. I'm available most days from noon until 10pm! Some days may have slight differences in hours based on if I have any work meetings, but I'm always transparent with my availability! I live in a gated apartment complex currently with a large dog park. Because of my current home, I only offer drop-in visits and walks. Because of this, I'd be visiting your home. I believe in treating everyone's home with absolute respect so I'll make sure to follow all rules you set for your space as well as ensure your pets are safe and happy at the end of my visits!

About: I have cared for dogs and cats my entire life and have experience caring for chickens as well. I previously volunteered with the Humane Society for Southwest Washington (HSSW), where I worked primarily with large dogs. Through my volunteer work, I completed dog safety training and learned how to recognize and de-escalate potentially stressful situations to help keep both animals and people safe. I am also an Eagle Scout. For my Eagle Scout service project, I designed and built an outdoor shelter structure for HSSW that provides volunteers and staff with protection from the weather while supervising dogs in the play yard. Working closely with the shelter further strengthened my commitment to animal welfare and my passion for caring for pets.
About: I’ve been loving on four-leggeds for as long as I can remember—and I’ve meant every second of it. Over the past 15 years, I’ve raised two mastiffs (a Fila and a Cane Corso), both topping 180 lbs—so I’m very comfortable with big personalities and even bigger pups. My heart dog, Gauge, lived to 15, and losing him last March felt like losing a piece of myself. Caring for animals has always felt like a privilege to me. Earning their trust? That’s everything. I know every home has its own rules—whether your dog is crate-trained or couch-spoiled—and I’ll always follow your preferences to a T. That said… dogs here are treated like family. Think cozy, calm, and lots of attention. I’m a little (okay, very) obsessed with making sure they feel safe, happy, and completely at home. I’m fully prepared with all the accoutrements (think toys, high-quality treats, etc) to make your babies stay feel like their home away from home. And I simply can’t wait! If I’ve been hired to take care of someone’s fur baby, then that is my number 1 priority. I build my day around the dog’s needs. I make time for what’s necessary, and being a long time dog owner myself, having dogs in the house just comes naturally. Walks happen daily with or without pups around, so having a dog to join me would just be an added *major bonus. Potty breaks and special care requests are something I just tend to as needed. I care for pets in either my home or my clients home to my clients specifications. I do have a fully fenced back yard with a large grassy area. There’s an off-leash dog park right down the street from me that’s never very busy. I’d love to be able to take pups to the park. I also walk everyday and will be taking the dog on walks with me. I have a 5 year old son who loves animals and loves to help out with ‘the chores’ that come along with animal care.

About: We are two friends who have known each other for almost ten years, and we currently live together with our two middle-aged dogs. We are animal lovers through and through. We love caring for animals and think they deserve the best. We dog sit quite often for family, friends, and neighbors, and can’t wait to meet your pup! Eileen and Carley both have very flexible schedules. Eileen works a hybrid schedule, and gets to work two days from home, and has a 3-day weekend. Carley works fully remote 5 days a week. Unless they’re from the same household, I prefer to keep one dog at a time to make sure they get undivided attention. But, if they’re social and like to play, I live super close to the dog park! Through my volunteer work, I completed dog safety training and learned how to recognize and de-escalate potentially stressful situations to help keep both animals and people safe. I am also an Eagle Scout. For my Eagle Scout service project, I designed and built an outdoor shelter structure for HSSW that provides volunteers and staff with protection from the weather while supervising dogs in the play yard. Working closely with the shelter further strengthened my commitment to animal welfare and my passion for caring for pets. I am generally available after 3:00 PM on weekdays. I have classes during the mornings and early afternoons on some weekdays, but I do my best to keep my schedule flexible for pet care. Animals are always my top priority, and I am committed to making sure they receive the time, attention, and care they deserve. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have experience handling dogs of all sizes through my volunteer work at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, where I regularly walked and worked with large dogs. About: Hi to all the fur owners! I've grown up with animals all my life, not just cats and dogs, but many different kinds and love them all! “Left my pups (and houseplants) with Jenny while I was gone on vacation over the Christmas holidays. She was great, and the pups were pooped when I brought them home! I happened to have a vet appointment for Max that I'd scheduled a couple of days after my vacation. Both dogs had lost a few pounds, yeah! And Max's back right knee was doing very well, no swelling, heat or favoring. Jenny and her family did a great job with keeping an eye on him and keeping him from overdoing it. They were also very understanding when I managed to screw up my pickup date. I'd inadvertently written down my return flight on the day before it was actually scheduled, so I'd scheduled their pickup time for the next day, just about at the time when my flight was supposed to depart. And of course, the flight was delayed about two and a half hours. Luckily, I was able to pick them up about 5 hours after the designated pickup time.
