About: I’ve grown up with pets my entire life, and am currently a dog mom to my wonderful fur baby. Please let me know ahead of time if you have an escape artist and I will be extra careful and aware. • Attention: I love spending time with your fur babies. I will play with them to their heart’s content or even just giving cuddles and scratches. I want to comfort your cat and keep them happy and stress free. • Medication: If your cat requires medication, I will make sure to give your cat the correct medicine and dosage. Please talk over routine with me like when to give meds. • Respecting Routine: I make sure to follow the owners instructions regarding feeding, playtime, and sleeping areas.

I graduated from the University of Denver and have spent 2+ months in the last year staying overnight to care for clients’ pets and homes. About: What is a home without a dog? I have always had a dog- or a few dogs. They make life good. I live with my husband and our two teenage daughters. We are a fun loving family of four, living on a small (wanna be) farm with our dog Larry and a flock of hens. Larry was a rescue from the humane society- and despite her rough start, she is ridiculous sweet. She can be both playful and lazy- a great combination for a playdate. When necessary we have gates to seperate upstairs and downstairs areas, so if your pet needs some private time on their own couch, it’s available to them! At your house, I treat your space with the same level of care I give your pets. I’ll make sure the mail is brought in, your plants are watered, the house stays tidy, and the locks are triple checked. Because I work with rescued animals, I’m also very intentional about maintaining your pet’s routine to minimize any anxiety while you’re away. When we’re out, I’m hyper-vigilant about leash safety and harness checks. If your dog is a flight risk or just easily spooked, I have the experience to keep them focused, happy, and secure. I know I need lots of updates when I’m on vacation, so you’ll get plenty of photos from me from each visit! No judgement if you’re a helicopter pet parent, I promise 😉

About: I have worked with shelter dogs for about six years and I have had quite a bit of training on dog behavior, handling, and socializing. My past shelter job required me to become SAFER certified in order to do behavior assessments on dogs coming in. I have worked with hundreds of dogs with a wide variety of behavior issues. As the dog care lead for my last shelter I oversaw the care of up to 120 dogs at a time. Part of the dogs care included medicating, I am familiar with many common health issues and medications and am comfortable administering all forms of medications. I have one small dog of my own, a neutered male that likes other dogs. Right now I am only looking for like sized dogs male or female (20 pounds and under) or very calm bigger dogs to babysit. I live on a small dahlia farm - about two acres, unfenced. Dogs are allowed on the furniture and in bed but you can provide their bedding if you think they’d prefer it. While our house is being built we live in a 2 bedroom “mother in law”. It is small so not ideal for active bigger dogs right now. I only sit one dog at a time, unless the dogs come from the same household or they are known friends and okayed by both families. I have a small dahlia farm so I work from home! I have free range chickens and one senior dog. My typical day revolves around taking care of the animals and flowers. Right now our yard isn’t fenced but it’s a summer goal! I take the dogs for a walk in the morning and then out for potty breaks every couple hours after that.

About: I’ve had dogs around me all my life from puppies to elderly care, from changing diapers to walks, I take care of all dogs equally. I am part-time with a flexible schedule and free in the winter for now, so I am able to spend time with your fur babies any time. I love my current dog of 6 years but she cautious of other animals so I am unable to house any animals but I am able to care for pets at their own home where they are comfortable.

About: Over most of my childhood and adulthood I have pet sat for neighbors and friends. I have watched all types of dogs and even exotics. So I like to say I’m pretty well versed with all types of pets and their care. My hours are 7:40am - 6:00pm with a two hour lunch which leaves me time to still check on pets. I definitely ask a lot of questions about your dog or cats routine and what they are used to so it’s not super stressful. I would love to get to know your pet first so they are used to me and aren’t scared. What kind of treats they like or if they have any restrictions.

We have a very comfortable home with a large wrap around deck and 5 exits. So it’s in/out all day as much as any dog wants/needs. It’s truly doggie heaven here and most people want to stay themselves when they drop off their dogs. We don’t care for more than 2 at a time.

Since Carly is a dog-reactive rescue with a traumatic history, and we have been working with a trainer, I am always reluctant to have someone new walking her. It's hard to be sure they will reinforce her training and ensure a calm walk, even if they encounter other dogs. Margaret made sure to understand and use the same equipment and commands and techniques we are using to give Carly the exercise she needed while my partner and I were sick. I would have no qualms having her house-sit and stay with Carly. I know she is trustworthy and genuinely cares about the animals she spends time with. I would highly recommend her for anyone, especially those who are nervous about their dogs with others. Carly is friendly and loves all people, and she has a little separation anxiety and more than a little territoriality around other dogs. And yet Margaret handled her expertly and lovingly, gaining both her trust and mine. She even suggested ways to help training progress with fewer treats and more praise as Carly improves her threshold around other dogs. Margaret not only came through on short notice, but she instantly built a relationship with both us and our dog which means she will be my go-to walker and sitter from now on.”
