About: Hi there! As a lifelong dog person, I have a lot of experience - I have cared for dogs weighing 8 to over 100lbs, and from 6 week old puppies to seniors. I am experienced in dogs with complex situations such as reactivity, fearfulness & timidness, and significant physical impairments. Currently, I own two rescue dogs - a 3 year old female German shepherd/malinois mix, and a 2 year old male Aussie who was born deaf & blind. So when I say the “hard to handle” pups are my speciality, I mean it! I would be happy to take your dog on a walk or local hike, to play outside with them, to work/train (my GSD/malinois girl requires regular scent work, agility, and intense variations on fetch to stay sane), or to simply give them affection. I don’t at all mind working with dogs that take time to win over, or that need extra TLC. All dogs are good dogs, and I can promise you that to me, they are all precious cargo - and will be handled as such in my care. I am a music teacher, and primarily work afternoons & evenings - so earlier in the day I have free time. I am also the mother of a young child, so am unavailable on weekends when he is home from school. I will adhere to strictly to instructions given (ie, your dog is crated or not, food allergies or sensitives to avoid, fears they have or the best ways to make them feel safe) and make sure above all else, they know I am someone they can look forward to seeing.

About: My entire life I have been raised alongside animals of all kinds, so I have a genuine passion for their care. It was always a responsibility of mine to help take care of our own at home pets as a kid, but eventually I moved up to helping out other family members, friends of family, neighbors, friends of friends, etc. with their pets while they were out working, on vacation, or just out on the town for the night. “Dawn was absolutely fantastic!! She was able to accommodate my dog last minute and is super amazing!!! Her place is a dog haven, with a lush yard and lots of shady tall trees. She sent me pupdates all weekend, and I could tell my dog was having a blast, and was super content and happy. Her pets are total sweethearts and they all got along great. An absolute gem, if you want the best for your pooch, look no further.”

“Tyler watched our 2 year old mini Aussie Potato and it went so well!! He is so communicative, responsive, and reliable. Potato can be shy and sensitive to noises and he worked so well with her to make her feel comfortable. He took her on two long walks as well and played with her to make sure all her needs were met. From the moment Brownie arrived, it was clear that Melissa and her family treated her as one of their own. Their beautiful home by the lake provided a wonderful environment, and Brownie felt completely at home with them. Knowing she was surrounded by such a caring family gave us tremendous peace of mind. While we were away on a cruise with limited communication, Melissa went above and beyond to keep us updated. Brownie has a special diet that requires her favorite food to be cooked, and Melissa was incredibly flexible and accommodating in helping maintain her routine. They took Brownie on walks, gave her plenty of attention, and cared for her with genuine love and kindness. We never had a single moment of worry while we were away.
