I'll start by saying that I have never boarded my pets because they travel with me full-time, but when I have to do a very long backcountry hike in the Cascades over difficult terrain that doesn't allow pets, I was lucky to find Jess last-minute to host my kitty in case I get injured and can't return to him in a timely manner. Setting: Like-minded animal lovers always hold a special place in my heart. Here, you are not going to find an immaculate, more corporate type pet-sitting kennel setup. Instead, you will find a warm, loving home cared for full-time by Jess and her family. Jessica's home has many animals. In addition to dogs to cats, she also raises farm animals of various kinds. I have no idea how all the animals find ways to live largely harmoniously together, but when I first pulled up to her home, I was greeted by many of them :) Sitting service: traveling in and around the Cascades often requires flexibility. Dark, windy mountain roads, spotty cell reception, etc make pinning down exact travel plans a challenge. Ever accommodating, Jess understood this and was so kind and reassuring while I was away. If you book your pet with her, you may find that she doesn't just care for your pet; she takes the time to learn and understand your needs and offers help whenever she can. I was upfront about being unsure of how long my hike would take. Well, it ended up taking much longer than I anticipated. Not only did she work with me on the timing of pick-up, she was so kind to offer help/advice in other thoughtful ways. I live with my friend, on a 5 acre property, most is not fenced, there however is a small parcel with a fence behind the house for your dogs to run free with her 2 dogs who are very friendly with other dogs. Otherwise, there are cables for dogs that don't have good recall or likes to wander off. in the front yard. I do have a dog/cat bed ready to go, animals are allowed on my bed and stuff, unless the owners says otherwise, they will be allowed up. I also have some cat toys of my own your cats can play with. Same goes for dog toys, I bought some so the dogs had something to play with while here. If you pefer to bring your own go ahead! :) but only thing I really need you to bring is their food, food bowl and medication if they have any. 😊 Willing to do more than one week if needed. And will leave them alone if they’re told to I have toys for dogs in prepare of them as well as a dog bed. I do have a dog bed and some toys in preparation for dogs, they're allowed on my couch and bed if they are ar your own house. I also do have a designated fenced area for them to run and play, so I would be able to let them out to play and stuff as well as take them on walks a few times through out the day. I also have cats which I have a catio for them but still, please be aware of whether your dogs are friendly with them or not. And let me know ahead of time so I know whether to keep my cats in my house or in a different building with my friends cats while your pets are here.

About: I've been taking care of our own three dog rescues for the past three years. If you know rescues, you know how difficult it could be. I have been around dogs my whole life and would like to turn one of my favorite pastimes into a I am currently seeking full time, but in the mean time I have to care for my three dogs morning and night where we feed them kibble in the morning and raw dog food at night. They all get walked at least daily two-three miles. I always ensure proper visual possession of your dog and make sure the leash is secure before leaving property. I do calming circles for about 15-20 minutes before we get started on any walks. I always make sure to have an extra leash on hand while out with your pet in case we run into a stray.

I was in FFA for 4 years and raised a pig all 4 years to sell at the fair. Shawn is from the Arlington area and was also raised with animals. He has raised everything from goats to kittens. We feel that your pets aren't just pets, but more like a child, and we know the importance of finding the right care for your Fur-Babies. A majority of the pets we have cared for have been rescue pets. The the transition for them is hard enough as it is being left at a stranger's house, and we don't want to make that transition any more difficult for them. We ask that you bring an item with them, something that they associate with you and home. Also we ask for these items as well: food, food bowl, and water bowl, bed or bedding, toys they may want to play with, treats, and of course a daily interaction log ( we want to keep them on the same routine that they are use to, or as close to it as we can) I also try and send pictures daily, but in the off chance I miss a day, I send extra shots the next day. If we sound like a good fit for you, we are always happy to set up a meet and greet at our place for introductions. (We have also taken in fur-kids without meet and greets.)
