About: I have had a lot of different dogs and animals, and I love all kinds of animals. I was raised on a farm with horses, goats, chickens, cats, dogs and so on. I love dealing with animals and taking of them. I also love to make sure that all animals are well taken care of. I like to take my dog on walks instead of just putting him in the backyard when it's time to go outside, I also make sure that my dog gets all the exercise and play time he could ask for. I would do the same thing for your animals, I would make sure they are happy, and that they feel at home as most possible. I would treat them as if they were my own. About: I have 2 Yorkshire Terriers, Dash who is 10 and Chevy who is 6 months. Dash has diabetes and requires insulin as well as oral medication and I am comfortable giving both. I also frequently take care of a friend’s senior Goldendoodle. I’ve house sat for up to a month at a time before which I am okay doing. I have more experience with dogs but I’d love to take care of your cats as well! I am currently finishing my last few pre-requisites for nursing school and most of my classes are online so I’m at home/available often. If your pet comes to my home I do have a fully fenced front and back lawn. As well as a great neighborhood for going on walks. I was in FFA for 4 years and raised a pig all 4 years to sell at the fair. Shawn is from the Arlington area and was also raised with animals. He has raised everything from goats to kittens. We feel that your pets aren't just pets, but more like a child, and we know the importance of finding the right care for your Fur-Babies. A majority of the pets we have cared for have been rescue pets. The the transition for them is hard enough as it is being left at a stranger's house, and we don't want to make that transition any more difficult for them. We ask that you bring an item with them, something that they associate with you and home. Also we ask for these items as well: food, food bowl, and water bowl, bed or bedding, toys they may want to play with, treats, and of course a daily interaction log ( we want to keep them on the same routine that they are use to, or as close to it as we can) I also try and send pictures daily, but in the off chance I miss a day, I send extra shots the next day. If we sound like a good fit for you, we are always happy to set up a meet and greet at our place for introductions. (We have also taken in fur-kids without meet and greets.) “My dog, Josie, spent her first "vacation" with Art and his family after we first met him and then Josie had a trial overnight experience. By the time she stayed for real, Josie felt very much at home and she had a great experience with walks each day, permission to sit on the couch and lots of petting. Art shared a few photos and updates with me while we were gone; needless to say, we never worried about her. Josie will definitely stay with Art again (if he's available!).
