My girls are 10 years apart in age are different in temperament and personality. To me, it doesn’t take a lot to care for them but I never know if that is different in the eyes of the sitter. Allison welcomed them both into her home and cared for them just as I would. She provided updates and photos throughout the stay. She was also flexible in drop off time as I had a brain fart when initially booking the stay. I will definitely choose Allison again for future stays!”

I’ve been a volunteer at pet rescues over the years and have an extra-special fondness for pets in their golden years. At your house, I treat your space with the same level of care I give your pets. I’ll make sure the mail is brought in, your plants are watered, the house stays tidy, and the locks are triple checked. Because I work with rescued animals, I’m also very intentional about maintaining your pet’s routine to minimize any anxiety while you’re away. When we’re out, I’m hyper-vigilant about leash safety and harness checks. If your dog is a flight risk or just easily spooked, I have the experience to keep them focused, happy, and secure. Can house sit 7 days/week, if your pet is okay with 8+hr time gaps between walks, etc. Otherwise priority to start Thur night and finish Mon morning, if pet is not okay with 8+hr time away Respectful in any persons/pets home environment. About: I grew up with a Pomeranian and cared for him through his senior years, so I know the extra patience and gentleness older pets need. I also raised my brother’s kitten to adulthood and have dog sat for relatives and cat sat for friends and coworkers, from playful puppies to shy kitties. What sets me apart is that pets have never been a side interest for me. Pets have been a part of my daily life since childhood, and I treat every animal like my own! As a student, my schedule gives me a good amount of flexibility during the week, so pet care fits in naturally rather than being squeezed in around a rigid 9-to-5. I can build feeding, walks, and playtime into my day without rushing, and I have the free time to give each pet real attention, not just a quick check-in. That flexibility also means I can adjust to a pet’s routine instead of asking them to adjust to mine. I only provide care in the client’s home, since I think pets do best staying in their own familiar environment, surrounded by their usual smells, sounds, and routine instead of the stress of a new space. When I’m there, I stick closely to the pet’s normal schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime, and I make sure to spend real one-on-one time with them, not just handle the basics. I also keep an eye on anything that seems off whether it’s their appetite, energy, or behavior so I can flag it to the owner right away.
About: Hi, I'm Trisha! I have been married for a little over 5 years to my husband Shawn. I have 2 children, a 10 year old boy, named Orion, and my daughter Kaylee, who would have been 22 years old, unfortunately she passed away from a car accident in 2020. I grew up in a little country town in CA. And was raised with animals. My grandpa was a big animal lover, and we had everything from a baby bear cub to kittens. I was in FFA for 4 years and raised a pig all 4 years to sell at the fair. Shawn is from the Arlington area and was also raised with animals. He has raised everything from goats to kittens. We feel that your pets aren't just pets, but more like a child, and we know the importance of finding the right care for your Fur-Babies. A majority of the pets we have cared for have been rescue pets. The the transition for them is hard enough as it is being left at a stranger's house, and we don't want to make that transition any more difficult for them. We ask that you bring an item with them, something that they associate with you and home. Also we ask for these items as well: food, food bowl, and water bowl, bed or bedding, toys they may want to play with, treats, and of course a daily interaction log ( we want to keep them on the same routine that they are use to, or as close to it as we can) I also try and send pictures daily, but in the off chance I miss a day, I send extra shots the next day. If we sound like a good fit for you, we are always happy to set up a meet and greet at our place for introductions. (We have also taken in fur-kids without meet and greets.) About: I have always had dogs and currently have bunnies too. I volunteer one morning a week at the animal shelter when I'm physically able. I have trained six of my own. Also enjoy creating enrichment and providing interaction for those who benefit from it. Happy to give your pets company for a short while. I am available to do drop-ins for up to an hour or two in the mornings or early afternoons including a potty break. Depending on the dog and the day, longer walks may be available. Dependent on demeanor, I can provide company outside or inside with as much attention requested, a short walk, or play session. Automatically thresholds will be respected for exposure to triggers. On-leash will include practicing loose-leash walking, lots of sniffing, and some impulse control. Play will include the toys and/or treats provided at the pups home.

I have lots of experience with various animals; furry, scaly, 2, 4, or 8 legged, from very large to tiny, babies, special needs or even elderly. I have taken a pet first aid class online also. So even in an emergency you can be confident that they will be cared for. “Sheena took great care of our 4-month old puppy and 4-year old Moodle. We did a meet and greet and our nervous puppy liked her immediately. During our trip, we got pictures and updates whenever we asked for them as Sheena responded quickly. When we picked them up, we got a full report of everything they did with a wonderful update on eating, playing, pooping, etc. Sheena is very experienced and provided dog and child socialization for our puppy in a safe and structured environment. The pups came home tired, well-behaved, and very happy. As a bonus, we paid Sheena to do a little nail trimming since she is a professional groomer as well. “My dogs mean everything to me and it can be difficult to find a dog sitter who understands the assignment. Allison understood the assignment. My girls are 10 years apart in age are different in temperament and personality. To me, it doesn’t take a lot to care for them but I never know if that is different in the eyes of the sitter. Allison welcomed them both into her home and cared for them just as I would. She provided updates and photos throughout the stay. She was also flexible in drop off time as I had a brain fart when initially booking the stay. I will definitely choose Allison again for future stays!”
